  1. Hately is the only one of our out of contract mob who will move to them, I reckon. Law's bound for England.
  2. 3-0 Well, Faddy first goal back, and a Higgy double to finish off Craig Brown for good.
  3. Superb result which surprised the shit out of me, frankly, and an excellent performance to boot. Showed excellent mental strength to take the lead the second time as well.
  4. Motherwell 4-0. No hassle, and an emphatic win. And a clean sheet.

Randolph, though Carswell has certainly forced his way into what would be my first 11.
  6. Law is shocking at times defensively. When we're not in possession, he strolls backwards, away from his man. He's making no effort to close down space, prevent a cross, or challenge to win the ball. He's essentially trying to avoid getting near the man to have to tackle, which would be fine if he blocked a run/pass, but he does nothing. When the ball is in opposition possession on the opposite side, he meanders around aimlessly.
  7. He'll be a premier league player for 6 months.
  8. I agree with the above. That, and it's not as if the game is going to be improved by forcing the issue and having it played it in that horrendous wind etc instead of postponing it.
  9. Agree. Look at ourselves. It took administration, a mass clear out and a huge cutting of the cloth, and look at how we've risen for the better since then. Clearly not entirely the same, but a touch of proof that a complete cleaning of the decks and a decent fresh start can make a huge difference, not immediately, but in the longer term.
  10. Voted Higdon for the goals, but a definite mention for Hutchy, and he'd have been a very solid contender if we had kept the clean sheet.
  11. Enjoyed that. Looking forward to the new song and Lasley video mind you!
  12. Definite size up needed in the new Well tops compared to anything else I own.
  13. That's perfectly good. As a player, I have only minor criticisms of him, and realistically, the majority of these are because he takes every set piece. I'd gladly take Hately, shitty footballer personality aside, signing another year. If he goes to a lower league club, regardless of his loyalty, or the money offered, of course I will question him, and clearly his ambition. He won't play in the SPL for them, as they'll sign up Bajbhaehrsokioiui as soon as they can pay the money for himself or any other random foreign name, to keep the proles happy.
  14. Motherwell right back/wannabe central midfielder to Vue Hamilton cinema usher "Do you not know who I am?" As a couple of other players squirm in embarrassment. Nah, I reckon I'd rather he got to fuck, if he wasn't such an acceptable player for us. Him and his tittish headsock and joggies combo, when his party were in jeans and t-shirts/shirts.
  15. As a player, I like Hately. Our best right back since Corrigan's best years. As a person...? He'll be down on his knees for the Rangers dollar soon. I get the feeling that the status of being one of them, and having the extra 75 quid a week is exactly what he's after. Zero ambition. He enjoys swanning around places as if he owns everyone around him.

Randolph. If it wasn't Murphy's final game, I doubt he'd have been voted above Randolph, despite an excellent performance.
  17. The coward has deleted the tweet.

I'm on board with the middle ideas, especially the Porter one, as he was highly regarded as unfit before he appeared with us, by the Oldham fans. We, as a club, in my opinion, in recent years, have been phenomenally good at managing training and the general health of the squad in order to manage illnesses/minor niggles. If you look at our first team, we're very very rarely without members of it, outwith lengthy absences (say 4 weeks or more), so it's perhaps an offshoot of that, for players like Porter. Again, what I've heard may be utter bullshit, but it's something to keep in the back of the mind perhaps. No more than that.
  19. Saving on wages is a fair point, and I suppose, as are the rest. It's just very aggravating for me to see a player leave for literally zero, when we've brought them to this level.

Just hip issues apparently. Along the lines of the "weak ankles" or "bad knees" stories that we've all heard from folk who never made it. And by mid range, I essentially mean Championship. Not many people drop from the Premiership's higher regions into the SPL, without a trial or similar at a level higher than the SPL. I hope my source was wrong/we get lucky, but I'm relatively sure that Angol wont be a good sell-on, sadly.
  21. 5K. Something as ridiculous as that. That would have done. They're after folk signing up to the Well Society for 300 quid a year, so surely 16&2/3 times that would make a difference. And clearly, Accies.

When your only complaints about a calendar year are "AAAAARGH, cannae believe we didny win the cup!" and "Fucking...beaten by a Rangers team at Ibrox..." You know it's been one glorious year.

Again, for ZFA (said in a couple of threads), I've heard that he is indeed highly rated, but has leg problems of some sort which have led to him 'dropping' to our level, as opposed to at least a mid range club, after leaving Spurs, as he'd be dubious on the ability to pass a medical front. I like him, despite (or perhaps due to) his clear rawness.
  24. Disappointed that we released him for free. Even a nominal fee would have done the job.
