  1. These seem to lack imagination. They all just look a bit... spl rejects select.

    St Mirren

Between Higdon, Kerr and Hutchy. Plumped for Hutchy despite the red, because of the constant last ditch defensive challenges etc.
  3. Don't see this happening, weirdly. I can see why you're saying, but I reckon we'll play.
  4. I think some younger players need a game here. Give them a bit of hope, give a rest to the established sorts, who'll play next Thursday, and maybe light a wee fire under a couple of arses.

    Ojamaa

    Yes. This. Crikey.

    Levante Cd

Ska. Piles, and piles of ska.
  7. Cup. By a mile. I've seen us in Europe, and I enjoy it. The Champions League was special, and once in a lifetime, but I've still to see us lift a cup, and we've been agonisingly close at times lately.
  8. Nil nil. I hate playing St Mirren. Just always seems to be a tedious grind of a game (the last one excluded) which looks like a draw from start to end. Hoping for someone to unleash a right net burster though. Maybe Law. Oh, and as for the ongoing ZFA for Hammell thing... naw. Not yet.
  9. No. The bottle for this tie has crashed.
  10. Agreed. And even their captain states that the aim is to avoid relegation. Not "Finish within 13!! places of last season, but to actively AVOID relegation"
  11. Agreed. And we did turn over our nice ripe belly at that point. No wonder they clawed fuck out of us.

    Ojamaa

Ever had a conversation with him? If not, then I'm interested to hear how you can tell his attitude is as poor. I assume you at least have a passable abilty to read body language. Have you assessed his speech, MJC, incase anything he says may or may not be honest? Also, should he be happy at being subbed mid game, or irked, leading to a tunnel storming? What if the manager was wrong, and the player wanted to stay on? And is storming off, angered at a substitution, more awful than slinking off due to a pish performance?
  13. Careful. This can incur negative responses...
  14. Null vote. Cummins was ok, but at the end of the day is a CB, and we conceded two goals. No one was worth a man of the match.
  15. On the night, I agree. And thank fuck someone said it.
  16. I know what you mean, but what does that lead to? As in, who are we up to the level of? Are we to the rival of Celtic, or is a floppy defeat v them ok? Hearts? Hibs? Aberdeen? I'm not saying that they're near the level of Pana or Levante, clearly, but where is the line of realistic competition drawn?
  17. Operation "hoof it to Higgy" was a waste. He won sod all off their CB. That's not a slating of him, as I feel that the big Hig is a good player, at chest, or leg level. Frankly fucking amateur concession for the first goal. 45 degree defensive line? Hell no. A distance that great between a CB and the RB is utterly embarrassing, and stupid, overall. We found ourselves overawed this evening against a team which showed fuck all. They were just as scrappy as we were, and in all reality, I would compare them to last season's Hibs side, wherein they were poor, but one or two players may punish you. And we were punished. The only time we threatened was when we tried to impose OUR game. Not when we tried to combat their threat. This is what angers me. It's no different to our efforts v the old firm. If we play OUR game, we threaten. If we aim to combat theirs...we fail.
  18. Cracked open a can. Sun is shining, so may be decanting out the back with some tunes shortly.
  19. Randy Hately - Kerr - Hutch - Cummins - Hammell Murphy - Law - Lasley - ZFA/Ojamaa Higdon Not how I'd go about it, but that's how I see it going. Admittedly, Hately and Hammell would be wing back types, and Murphy and Ojamaa/ZFA supporting Higgy from the wings, but if I tried to type that into a shape, it'd look ridiculous.
  20. More annoying will be that their build up on the radio will be chat about Celtic's champions league game two days ago.
  21. You can bet a mistake like that wouldn't pop up in their SFL 3 coverage.
  22. I had half an explosive response formed before I saw this. I'll just settle for a relatively peaceful "no ta"
  23. Fair enough, and I agree, as long as he's willing to make changes if it's not going well, sooner rather than later.
