Big Mac for me. Won must in the air, organised the defence and holding mids well, last ditched blocks and nearly got us a clean sheet when we were up against it for long spells
-
I was happy enough with the performance. Jack, carswell, Mac, dan, Erwin all have have good games. Sutton gets a complete and utter bashing on here and in the stands. It's a fecking joke. Top goal scorer last year and a good season. Tonight very much himself at times and yes didn't win everything in the air but was up against two tall strong centre halves. When he did win it no one was near him. What do we expect from this guy. The only thing against him is his pace but feck me he's the only main goal scorer we have. Get behind him
-
You really are one clown. Were you even at the game? What did utd do? How many hard saves did dan have. Very even game, utd little more pressure and a wonder goal won it.
-
Played very well with still some important players out. Wonder goal beat us

Same shape and tactics as the famous day at Aberdeen. Would take the same result right now

Don't talk rubbish - he played for Newton Stewart on the 2nd August and scored three

Rubbish. Total rubbish. Smc has made a mess of it again. One attaching player/ maybe two on the park and not one of them can run. What the feck

Does anyone know who the 'potential' teams could be or will we only find out on the draw date? Usually on the draw date we know it will be one of 6 teams, anyone know if the club knows who the small list would be?

I really believe we will be two points ahead of Aberdeen when go into the last game of the season

Was thinking last night, who are the current players that are out of contract at the end of the year? Other than the players that are out of contract no one else will leave as we will not sell nor afford to release anyone. Hutchinson (Will not sign a new contract) McManus (Don't think we can afford him) Hollis (Need a better first choice option) Ainsworth (loan end) McFadden (Don't think we can afford him) Hammell (Think he will re-sign) Any others? Out of the above, who would you like to re-sign? and who would you like to see replaced? As it stand, from the current squad list, my team for next year would be (???? - new signings): ???? Kerr Ramsden ???? Hammell ???? Lasley Carswell ???? Sutton Anier Neilson Stewart Francis-Angol Murray Cummins Lawson Virgus McHugh Erwin Moore

Saint Johnstone V Motherwell 25/02/14

I am definitely not in the "get rid of the manager camp" as he has been great for us during his time at the Arc. However, sometimes I really wonder what he is thinking. I know his knowledge of the players are far better than mine and who am I to question him but as a paying punter some decisions are just wrong in my eyes. Take last night our midfield was all wrong. No balance, no shape and players playing in the wrong positions. No right mid, three center mids and a left mid that offered very little. Simply did not work and took him til we were 2 down and half time to even remotely change it. Playing big John upfront himself on many occasions. Changing two positions at the back when one would do. Hammy moved to right back and Zanie left back. That didn't work neither. As I say, most of the time his decisions are positive, however, there are some that just don't add up to me but then again he's prob on the training field right now and I am behind this keyboard -

Well, after getting home late last night I thought I would let my anger reduce before I posted: Last night was shocking simply no game plan. I am not one for having a go at the team because when you look at it we are still in the mix and potentially 1 point behind the team that is having the best season ever. The three players I think are our major flaw are: Nielson - Goalkeepers are there to win you point, Nielson has won very few if any. If they can't win you points then they are there not to lose you points, Nielson has lost us a few. Basic basic errors. Punching when should be holding, kicking poorly, kicking from the ground and not his hands, spilling balls. Remember McCall signed him now picks him! Zaine - Can anyone tell me what his solid position is? LB, looks weak and naive. LM, can't take a man on and can't cross. He's now 21 and going backwards in his progression. At the very least we should be able to say what his strongest position is. Vigurs - Luxury player we simply can not afford. Struggles to track back, tackle, and never seems to burst a gut. His training partner would be Ross Forbes as they are as slow as each other. Decent touch and passing but what does he really offer. I could put McFadden & Lawson into the underachievers mix too. I think McCall needs to pick a formation and stick with it. I know we do not have a multitude of players to pick from but putting square pegs in round holes is simply not working. We looked completely lost last night and Friday. Looking at the league table position and points look good and yes we are still in it, no question, however we are the only team in the top six that does not have a plus goal difference. To many appalling performances and leaking goals. March is a BIG month that could see us still very much in the hunt for Europe or end our season. -
Heard the other day that its about 90% sure that our next shirt maker will be MACRON. This came from a guy that works with Joma and has been trying to arrange a meeting with Leeanne, however, he was informed that a deal has nearly been agreed. Through asking around the word seems to be MACRON. Deal not done so may change or he might have been told rubbish information however he did seem pretty sure.

Its call tax avoidance...if you do not think that happens then thats up to you

Hibs have told Rowan Vine to find a new club. I would take him in a heart beat!

Tom Hateley - Been, Gone, Replaced End of - Good luck to him

I agree with the above posts but you also have to consider that there is no advantage to declaring more people through the gate (if there is). There are certain financial benefits to declare a figure rather than the actual figure of attendants. We all know it happens EVERYWHERE. How many times you sat in the ground and the attendance is announced when you think there's no way that the attendance is that low. I do not think you should read into the stats to closely.

Albion Rovers V Motherwell 30/11/13
prideoflanarkshire replied to Toxteth O'Grady's topic in Club Chat
I don't think they will change the venue. They changed it for Rangers as it is a league game and doesn't really matter. However, this is a cup game (a one off game) they might think they can beat us with less of a crowd. Also, max attendance 5,000? will that be enough to merit a move rather than a sell out at livi for Rangers? -

I have heard from a very good source that at the latest Rangers meetings they discussed Sally's role at the club. The discussions regarding sacking or keeping Sally. (Which I don’t really believe as he also would be at these meetings being a director) My source has heard that a replacement list has already been drawn up and discussed and you will never guess who's top of it. This might never come to anything as they may decide to keep Sally, however, do you think this is true? What would your views be? I think the above is all a bit common sense to be honest that should they sack him, McCall must be we in the running. All a bit easy to put this all together and not even a runner.

I still think we have a chance at home....not the tie. We have scored in every game apart from Doncaster (our first game and we had chances) They have conceeded in every league game. Only won one game, against the newly promoted team last year, only drew 1-1 with a ten man rubin team, and drew 1-1 with a late goal to a managerless Zenit team. We will have chances tomorrow night that is for sure, as we have had before in ELQ however we need to take them. It is going to be really tough but keep the faith!!!

Kenny Black said "sign" nothing to do with loans??
-
Agree with the last couple of posts....kissing the badge does not bother me at all. He used to get a lot of stick when he came back. McFadeen, MacDonald and Sutton, to me that does sound rather good
-
Thats really kind of you putting together a really mature helpful reply. We all know how loan deals works and also ask McFadden about his willingness to change his pay grately. I never once said it is fact, simply asking if anyone has heard of this anywhere. I would have him back at the Arc but then again thats just my thoughts that count for feck all
