Here is the biggest problem, and one we have walked ourselves into.
Previously, when replacing a manager mid season, we have had the players there for the new gaffer to work with, this time around, I dont think even pep could keep us up.
I would tend to agree. No ruthlessness about us at the top end what so ever which is fine for a small family run business, but not at this level of professional football.
This is it really, we have been in a slow freefall for a long time, think Flo seen the writing on the wall and jumped the sinking ship.
It might just be my own view, but it seems we have e lost all sense of cohesion from top to bottom and been flailing to stay afloat for a good few year now.
This mess has been the culmination of the last 2 year. Our impotence to get rid of a no win in 17 games manager and our recruitment policy have utterly fucked us.
Scunnered with this saga already. Media can get fucked, nothing but reptiles, Kettlewell has played a blinder in waving the "poor me" flag, sums him up, zero accountability.
I'm very sceptical of the level of "abuse" being leveled at the fans and where it really sits in the scale of reasoning for him resigning.
I'm absolutely sure there will have been a small minority that take it way too far in their venting of criticism but you can't convince me this is some anomaly that everyone in football doesn't come across on the regular.
It very much smacks of a full blown ego driven temper tantrum in the "it's ma baw and you're no playing with it" style. No doubt he's probably fed up of the criticism being leveled at him, but let's be honest, the criticism is valid.
I've never been a big fan and other than a couple of purple patches he's been poor on several fronts. It might end up being a case of be careful what you wish for, but it also might not.
Only upswing here is that if we get beat off the undisputed worst team in the league, it shows up the glaring issues we have and still have time in the window to address them.
On the other hand, we scrape a come back and those issues get glazed over.
