I have always imagined that a move to Ravenscraig would encourage local bus companies to run a shuttle service from the town centre/ train stations on match days.
I dont know if I am just getting old and grumpy, but I dont remember the club ever making such a big song and dance over a league cup quarter final before. Feels a bit tin pot, you would be forgiven for thinking its the final the way the club are presenting it.
Crazy at this point.
So that's us bolted down to having the financial problem of not being able to get rid if results go bad. Hope there is a performance clause in there.
Its like we never learn.
I dont imagine a 6 month deal would break the bank. He's certainly an upgrade on what we currently have in that position if fit. However I imagine other clubs with deeper pockets will probably be saying the same and easily out bid us.
Honestly not surprised. Feel like this signing is a marker for where we are as a team right now. Signing a player that left on the worst of terms, fans hate him, done the square route of fuck all since leaving. We are scrambling around in the dark so hard we have ended up back where we started but its a worse version. If anything screams relegation fodder then its this type of signing. Can we seriously not find a better option than a done Tony Watt?
Crawling back to yer ex vibes.
I've tried holding off on simply disliking him for obvious reasons, and lack of game time prior to signing gave him a grace period, but I have to concede Haliday looks done.
You are right to be suspicious and that is maybe where the problem sits.
I can understand he wants to be vague on some elements but as you say, he needs to show exactly how the club stands to benefit and what that looks like as a revenue stream.
Well thats a question for Barmack, however I get the impression I get is he is holding certain cards against his chest, at least publicly, which is fair enough.
As far as I understand, that is the point, the club will be the one to benifit from it.
This is the argument I made to my mate earlier. The value of the investment doesn't come down to only money, but as you have said, the opertunity being offered which could potentially lead us to new money that as of yet lays in a pool untapped by Scottish football.
You are not going to get many offers on the table that allow for the same protection offered here. It seems to me that Barmack has taken the time and effort to work along with fan demand as much as possible and likely more than a lot of others would offer.
If you are just looking at the money on offer then sure, it looks a bad deal, but if you take the opertunity into consideration then I dont think its as clear cut as many on here think it is.
