I cant understand why they wont bring in a play off place. They want more excitment and the fans are all for the play offs, and it will generate more money if anything, whats the problem or am I missing something?

Heres whats been rattling around in my brain in terms of Faddy. Option 1. He gets his move down south, makes his money. Risk here being that he could end up as before, warming the bench. On the other hand he could be a sensation in a much higher rated league. Option 2. Stay with Motherwell, Reasonable wage but not as much as he could get else where, stays 20mins down the road which makes family life a lot easier. Chance to play in Europe. Club and fans adore him, guaranteed a game, in the spotlight and in for a shout for Scotland if he keeps up his form. Cements his place as a club legend. Job security, and even looking to the future, a step up into the coaching team and management. Its not an easy choice to make, I certainly wouldn't like to make it.

I remember the year dundee united won the cup sitting wanting them to win as it ment Europe for us. The were playing a first div team (county I think). I could be totally wrong here but I'm sure this was the scenario, even as runners up county never got Europe.

Plenty of time for him yet. He has been unlucky in that we have always had a good bunch of attacking players on hand. He has shown with the unders that he knows where the goal is, a wee loan spell to get him some first team experience wouldnt hurt though.

I must say when he first came I didn't rate him that highly. Now I love the big man and wouldn't have anyone else up there. He is definitely a long side faddy in my current fave players.

Very sorry to hear this. I'm glad he enjoyed being part of the forum and that he was able to connect with people through it. You never know how small things like a football forum have such an impact on peoples lives.
