  1. You can't put on a stone of muscle ffs. Dom Thomas with an added stone of muscle wouldn't even be able to bend his arms and legs. Sylvester Stallone was only 11 and a half stone in Rocky 3. The human body is only capable of adding 4-6lbs of lean muscle naturally in one year, at most. And each subsequent year that potential reduces. If you've been weight training consistently hard for 4 or 5 years you will be lucky if you can even add 1 - 2lbs of lean muscle a year, if anything.
  2. None of the youngsters have had enough game time yet to know whether they have it or not. To suggest anything else is just mental. Don't forget there was a time when Jonny Page was seen as the cash cow by the club over Hutchy. You just don't know until they have had a good run of first team exposure.
  3. I've always said the key to footballing success is to latch onto a religion. Glad to see we have picked Amish...there's potential for a global market there. Do they have an MLS franchise in Pennsylvania yet? Welcome aboard big man! Impressive pedigree...here's hoping he can take it into regular first-team football.
  4. Erwin "only lasted 56 mins" suggesting that he might not be fancied, might be struggling, and might go out on loan? Worried about our results and performances, reading into who played where and who didn't play. Are there genuinely people who don't know what pre-season actually is?
  5. I think one of them is Fraser Kerr.
  6. Who is this player The legend that is Esteban Casagolda. Otherwise known as "number 25".
  7. Regardless of who's done or achieved more, I just think Ross McCormack is more consistently a better and more effective player. I get (and share) the sentiment that Faddy holds, and have never doubted his ability or what he's capable of. I have 'well tops, an Everton top and Birmingham top all with his name on the back, and have never felt the need to do the same with Ross, however I do just think he's better. Edit: just pointing out I have never worn any of those tops outside of playing 5's...that would be utterly tragic.
  8. In the "returning players" debate, I would always have taken Ross McCormack back before Faddy.
  9. With the stories surrounding the negotiations with Cash Converters causing delays (we all assumed it was financial), and the rumours of the sponsor placement under the crest, I am wondering if perhaps the negotiations were them deciding on the sponsor where it is but in white (bigger, more exposure), or a smaller sponsor under the crest but in Claret (closer to their own logo colour).
  10. I'm about to make sure underboyleheating gets no sleep tonight...... So, underboyleheating....has your designer's OCD noticed the sash and the MFC aren't on the same gradient?
  11. Will the club shop be selling the trousers that Lionel is wearing?
  12. They aren't. (in before the flood). Edit: ahh shite, you fixed it too quickly
  13. Your decision making is worse.
  14. They are both outstanding. My only gripe is with football tops in general, I wish the sleeves were a good 3 inches shorter.
  15. No-one else is handsome enough to overtake him. With Ramsden, Lawson, Vigurs, Big Handsome all away in addition to those who left this time last year, we better start signing some lookers otherwise we will have to change our name back from Motherwell Football & Aesthetic Club.
  16. Compared to working in an office (or other "normal" job) perhaps, but In the context of his own industry his career choices have been an absolute disaster.
  17. 4 years at Leeds and never played once. 26 and been pissing about at Aldershot and Clyde and the like. Fair to say he won't be getting work as a careers advisor when he retires.
  18. How about don't be in either of them, and just see how the season pans out as a whole? I think it's reasonable to say we won't spend the whole season in either 1st or 12th, so as long as the up's and down's stay in the middle bit, let's just see how it goes without such short-term, week-to-week thinking. I don't think that's fair to say at all. In fact, I think it's unfair to the point of just being wrong. There's a huge difference between being shite, and shite things happening. The former is something that would be a concern, the latter is something that happens occasionally when you are trying to make big changes that take work and patience.
  19. I expect there to be both a "Bara must go" thread and a "Bara contract extension" thread on the go at various points during the season. More than likely both at the same time, with neither given a chance to drop to page 2.
  20. I think it's fair to say we'll never have to worry about him partying too much!
  21. That's kinda the point of a bet.
  22. I'd assume it's fairly obvious it's for the coming season... Gaz is a pal of mine and it's just a wee bit of fun with a good outcome either way, I very much doubt it needs a contract with criteria. With Marvin and Lionel on the wings I think he'll hit double figures if he plays, so it's a bit of a moo point.
  23. Why would a company pay money for an advert, and agree to do without the advert part?
  24. Haha, done. More than 6 goals and you donate a ten spot to the Scottish Huntington's Association, 6 or under and I send the tenner to your choice. Deal?
