  1. ^^^ tenner charity bet with you on that one Gaz?
  2. I'm sure we do which, given he's just won Sheffield United Player of the Year, Player's Player of the Year, Goal of the Season and signed a new contract, could be pretty lucrative for us. United will be looking for big pounds to take him.
  3. I dont think he means that type of teamwear, I think he's talking about us selling the looser fitted replica version, and also the bodyfit players version of the current top. I really wanted one of those, but they never seemed to have them on display in the shop, and I dont think they re-stocked them either.

    Security Today

Nope, I thought it was great. High pressure game, excitement, drama, and a massive rammy at the end. As long as no-one got seriously hurt, then what more do you want!
  5. I agree, i'm post-30 but I can't be doing will all this retro nonsense. Retro should be left for memories, if we keep trying to bring things back then the present has no identity or time-stamp to it.
  6. He didn't really kick on until the last 6 months or so, so a bit late for any international reckoning in the last few squads. However if he can continue the way he is, and if he indeed does move up a division, then it's a certainty IMO.
  7. Reckon you would be talking decent money to take Murphy these days, United player of the year, players player of the year, goal of the season and a new 3 year deal, they aint letting him go on the cheap. Sell-on clause on the back of that would be great news! Potentially bring the total closer to what many would have accepted as the "fair price" we hoped for when we sold him. I go to Uni in Sheffield on block release from work, and after an uneasy start he's been absolutely phenomenal the back half of the season.
  8. Vuckic is a one-trick-pony....head to the corner of the box, cut inside and try to bend it in the far corner. Tries it 9 or 10 times per-game, and he's not very good at it. In regards to Laing, I really like him. Run of games could see him developing a really good partnership, and as said a few posts back we need to accept our position as a club as far as signings go. We are the club that players come to, to spend a couple of seasons trying to straighten out the mistakes and inconsistencies in their game, so they can move up a level. We should be the footballing equivalent of a preparatory school. Sure that means they will have their up's and downs and will drop us some points here and there as we are the ones that are getting those mistakes... but as long as they come in a package with genuine potential and ability then we have to be happy with that, and that's what our scouting network will be working hard to ensure. (Hopefully).
  9. 5-1 down with 10 mins to go. "Right Bilel, you're leaving after this game anyway...go on and do something stupid, anything that will make the papers"
  10. Looked to me like an accident. Police took the guy to the back of the stand before letting him return to his seat, satisfied it was an accident. Match commander considered it to be an accident. Lee McCulloch reacted (after the cut-off of the gif/pics that are going around) to acknowledge he accepted it was an accident. Absolute non-story.

    Baraclough Out

I've been as critical as many at times about certain games, certain decisions made, etc etc, but at the root of it all I have always been of the view that the reason we have looked utterly honking this season isn't because Barra was incapable of doing the job, but rather because he was starting from a lot further down that many of us realised. I think, especially in hindsight, that we as a fanbase have drastically underestimated (or just not been aware of) just how messed up the club was when he took over...and how much he's had to do. I genuinely congratulate the guy not just for the playoffs, but for keeping us in the league whilst at the same time making a huge dent in a lot of the other problems we faced at the club. Many managers may have come in and ensured we avoided the play-offs, but it would have been at the expense of all the other good work that has been done. I'm happy, and greatly relieved to be able to feel positive about next season, which I sincerely do.
  12. He doesn't say that mate....can't find a bit that sounds like it, what's the timing of the video?
  13. Hope someone can sort you out mate, sorry I wasn't able to be more help.
  14. So, everyone of us, and everyone on the outside, has watched our season unfold and been like "What the hell is going on here with Motherwell? Well.... Consecutive years in Europe, 3rd, 2nd 2nd....all great, but no-one else was doing their jobs elsewhere. So this season we dive down to the bottom and take the points that finally get rid of St Mirren from the league, and then hopefully do the job of making sure Rangers don't get back in. THAT'S what's been going on here. You're welcome, Premiership....you're welcome.
  15. Like the look of Mitch's side, only possible change I would consider comes from liking the look of Ramsden as the extra man in the middle against United (I think it was?). Not sure if he's had enough game time recently to be sharp and on it in that role though. I've liked Grant a lot on the middle, but every time he's impressed there has been when we've been a few to the good and the pressure has been off. He's been poor out wide which hasn't been his fault to be fair, but he has looked like his confidence drops when the pressure to perform rises. As others have said, from what i've seen of both our performances and Rangers' (or Hibs'), the extra man in midfield has to be the way to go but I am also not convinced Barra will go with it.

    Starting Now!

I actually had a strange shift of thinking after last night's game. All my thoughts up until that point had been fairly negative, even winning a relegation playoff has a negative edge to it. But as it seemed like it would be Rangers we are playing, all of a sudden my mind started coming from the point of view of: "We are about to have what could be the best experience i've possibly ever had as a 'well fan" In the space of a couple of hours i've actually gone from really down about the whole thing, to being incredibly excited!
  17. Our PATG prices will have to stay rational to our ST prices, and prices for away fans will have to stay rational to those in turn. So Falkirk/Morton/Hibs or Rangers may well take decent crowds to away games, but Fir Park won't be one of them if we're a minimum of a fiver dearer than everywhere else.
  18. I completely understand that view. I buy my season ticket, have bought near enough every home and away top for the past 20 years (quite a few of which i've never even worn), and happily do so. I go to games and support my team on a Saturday/Sunday/Friday night, but my interest starts and stops with the referees whistle. I have no interest whatsoever in being involved beyond that. I don't want any more involvement in what goes on behind the scenes than I do in the shops I buy my food or my clothes. I have to say though, I did not think that way when I was younger, and it may yet change again.
  19. Or maybe we did and he just wasn't interested? I just find it weird that it's always the general consensus that because we didn't sign someone it was because we didn't try.
  20. How do you know we didn't go for him? Transfer windows aren't just glorified kidnapping...the player is allowed a say in it!
  21. Personally I don't think Rangers have a hope against Hibs over 2 legs. I have no doubt we'll be in Edinburgh for the playoff.

    Baraclough Out

I must admit I have swung back and forth about Baraclough since his appointment, just haven't been able to make up my mind fully one way or the other. I have to say at the moment though, I'm not sure i'd even trust him with 100 quid to do my weekly shop for me.

    Mfc Podcast

As far as I was aware, Lawless was offered a new to deal to be financed by Jamie Murphy's move to Blackpool, and then Murph turned the move down, which then had the knock on effect on the Lawless offer.
  24. I wouldn't do that to my friends.
