In fairness though, dismissing all the "hoodoo" bollocks...Every other club will be looking at our Euro games, our performances (not just results) so far in the league, our injury list, and our recent record in cups. You'd be mental to not peg us as the weakest of the seeds as things stand at the moment.
-
I think it's fair to say we are probably every non-seed's dream draw.
-
We now have every right to expect Top 6. If we don't achieve it then at least one person (but more likely a few) isn't doing their job properly. Aim, Achieve, Adapt your aim. Repeat.

That gets mentioned all the time...the guy couldn't wait to get out the door when he was here the first time! Im sure he'd choose to stay at Arnold Clark than come back up here!

Very much this.

And Stjarnan go 1-0 up on Poznan....

Okay then if you're not happy with the phrase attitude problem, call it an inferiority complex or a fear of talking ourselves and our players up. We, as a club, are afraid to say in public that we believe ourselves to be good, that we believe we are better than anyone else. That's a poison that permeates through every area....if you don't believe you're great, then you won't be. It's been that way for as long as I can remember. Certainly for as long as we've been good. Even two years ago when...let's not beat about the bush, we were a fantastic side that no-one in this league could touch over the course of a season, with players that every single other side would have taken in a heartbeat....we still have people like that above saying "we had players that wouldn't get a game for anyone else" It's utter, utter nonsense and it's time we found a little bit of arrogance and a little bit of swagger.
-
Did you read the quote I was responding to? It was nothing to do with the game last night or last week. It was an ideal example of an attitude that permeates through the club from the top level to the support. Last night and last week was merely the latest symptom of it. It runs way deeper than a game, or a cup competition, or an approach to a particular type of situation.

See, this is the kind of self-defeating nonsense that drips from every single area of our club from top to bottom. It's why our approach to much of the sport is left wanting, and it's a massive factor in why we never win in the transfer market. 2 seasons ago, every single one of our starting 11(and a few of our bench) would have strolled into the starting lineup of every single other side in the league bar Celtic. And in saying that, a few of them would have done a job at Parkhead. But for some reason, our club from top to bottom, and our fanbase for the most part, are too afraid to talk like that because "I remember when we got relegated once" or "anything more than top-6 is a bonus". How long do you have to punch above your weight, before that then becomes your weight? Are Swansea punching above their weight because they have fans that can remember Lee Trundle backheeling shots from the halfway line in the Conference? Or do they adapt their attitude to the present, regardless of whether that is up or down. There's a reason why the truly successful examples in sport tend to be multiple winners of things...because when they are successful once, they raise their own bar, and that becomes their new standard. They strive for excellence. When we get any kind of relative success we wet our pants trying to not let go of our wee safe old comfortable bar. Being better than you used to be and refusing to move your standards upwards accordingly, is just as criminal as being worse than you used to be and not understanding why you don't win everything anymore.

Know what I hate? I HATE being a cuddly, fluffy, friendly family club. I cannot STAND the constant "yeah we'll do our best but it's a privilage to be playing at this level" nonsense, and our media sound-bites regarding any of our players, no matter who it is are based around "yeah he's a good lad, works hard, keeps his head down, hopefully one day he'll be able to get a good move to an arse-end division side but we'll keep him grounded" People criticize Aberdeen for their Billy-Big-Baws attitude, and other fans hate them for it but you know what....i'd LOVE a bit of that. It sickens me when you hear fans of other clubs talking about how nice we are, and how there isn't much to hate, and how we're so realistic. "We're going into this game feeling like favourites, and this is a game we should win" And then actually play like we believe it, because whether it's true or not....we should believe it. So we lose soemtiems and end up with egg on our faces, looking stupid, but who cares! We look stupid anyway...and i'd rather look stupid for thinking we're amazing, than look stupid because we look like the playground sap that doesn't even believe they should be there. We might still take a tanking....but whoever beats us should most definitely be appreciating their victory whilst lying in the hospital bed next to us, not sitting in the pub laughing at how pathetic we were whilst we borderline apologise for daring to turn up.

After 20 mins we thought we were going to absolutely skoosh it. They get the penalty and their tails go up whilst we've already taken our feet off the pedals and it was only going one way after that. In fairness if they hadn't got that penalty I think we would have gone on to get 4 or 5 as we were playing some good stuff and they looked resigned to the defeat....but you can't start playing like it with so much of the game to go as penalties can come out of nowhere.

If you'd go if it was 20 quid but couldn't afford it if it was 25, then you should definitely not be using that 20 quid for football.

I'm led to believe Kris Boyd to United is all but a done deal
-
I doubt she'd get a choice in the matter.

I think he does life a disservice by sitting researching goalie stats at midnight on a fucking Friday. Even for a windup that breaks the gimp scale. Who gives a fuck!
-
The annoying thing is he's still sticking to the same approach even although it isn't working. Oh no, wait.....
-
Unfortunately I doubt he'll have to wait until he has a bad game.
-
So is Hollis. Only an inch shorter than Randolph. When you look at the team photie he is actually a decent height.
-
I think you'll find it was the authorities that distanced you from Motherwell and football in general, for being a complete and utter welt. Being barred from going doesn't leave you much of a choice other than "distance". And as for being tempted to show what kind of idiot you are.... I think the bother you got into for stalking one of the most rancid hounds i've ever seen in my life, and then posting scuddy photos of her on here and genuinely giving everyone the boke....took care of that a long time ago.

I bet his kitchen is full of stuff he got on buy-one-get-one-free, and only used the one he paid for.
-
There is genuinely something wrong with you.

Craig Gordon's main problem is that clubs apparently can't get medical insurance that will cover his old injury. His options are to either retire, or risk playing under a standard insurance policy which won't cover anything relating to his pre-existing condition. Again that might be completely incorrect as it's just hearsay, but i've heard it from 2 or 3 separate people.

Last close-season McManus had to choose between an offer from us and an offer from Hibs. He's spoken about it many times in interviews.

Last one I can remember is 0-0 up at Aberdeen towards the end of last season...not sure if there's been one after that's slipping my mind?
