  1. Torn cartilage, 3 months out minimum from what I hear.

    Away In Athens

A goal isn't by any means a stretch of the imagination. Score first and it's on....
  3. I won't. I can't remember a story broken by a journalist that I hadn't found out from Pie & Bovril days previous. That's what's killing them and they know it.
  4. You do realise that any suggestion like that will end up as ThunderBusters.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiH1wNmZTII&feature=related
  5. Surprised at the views of a few on here, I thought Murphy was very very good last night and had the Panathinaikos players shiteing it on a few occasions. Could do with finding a shot as an end product though.
  6. Why choose 3 songs when you can choose 10 songs and ram them into the same amount of time.
  7. I think it was in McCall's press conference interview where he said he was glad that after a few niggling injuries throughout the last couple of weeks, Saunders' was the only one that would keep him out of the squad.
  8. Yet clearly don't understand that tonight we were dining at the big boys table and we live or die by their rules, it doesn't matter if its stones or paper aeroplanes...anything thrown onto the pitch directed at a player is treated severely. Make no mistake about it, watchful eyes will be on all Panathinaikos games given their history, so it will have been noted.
  9. I thought we were very very good tonight. Composed, patient, technically excellent going forward and strong at the back (if a little all over the place at times). What separates teams on our level from teams at a higher level however, is that even in games where we're playing fantastically well there will be 4/5/6 occasions where we completely switch off. At a higher level they are generally on it for 90 mins. That's what done us tonight....2 ridiculous lapses and wrong choices let to 2 goals. At 1-0 I think we could have done something over there, games still tight and we know they aren't miles above us. 2-0 is just too much to ask I think. If we can perform like that domestically then there's no-one could touch us (which obviously we won't, factoring in inconsistencies, injuries etc). Oh, and watching Ojamma is like watching a shite Teen Wolf.
  10. Ah yeah living in Falkirk must make that happen naturally. Oh no wait, hang on.......
  11. That's spectacular. Impressive and depressing at the same time. I can't quite decide.
  12. Ahh Shirkie is the Harry Styles of the One Direction boys that we promoted, I knew i'd heard his name somewhere!
  13. Yes contestant Geedub, what is your answer?

    Jamie Murphy

Worst boots in the history of the club.
  15. Ha yeah good point! Our very own Ricky Hatton!
  16. In fairness though, they reason they ended up here was because they weren't playing or performing at that level. Noticed your edit after i'd posted: Yeah exactly, bulking up is different from being athletic but that's my point, down south they have dedicated staff who are experts in adding clean size and lean bulk to athletes. Up here we don't have that luxury so it's a choice between fit or overweight, and for Jamie Murphy in Scotland fit = being the sized he is, the only way he'll get bigger up here is if he does it on his own in his own time, or if he puts on bulk to the detriment of aerobic fitness
  17. I guess Jennings himself is a great example there. Comes off the back of being the engine room in one of our best seasons ever at a club like ourselves, 6 weeks later goes to Coventry and isn't even deemed fit enough to be part of their pre-season tour! Decent level players in Scotland are fit. Decent level players in England are athletes. That's the difference.
  18. Even Championship sides have dedicated teams of fitness staff, separate dieticians etc etc. Just as richer clubs bring a higher standard of player, manager and coaching staff (usually)...the same is true for roles like that. A Championship side or above could have Jamie in much better physical shape than we could, purely because of the time they would be able to dedicate to him and the higher level of expertise that the clubs can afford to pay for.
  19. They got done 3-0 in Athens. Lot of financial fuck-aboutery with Panathinaikos, players having to defer wages etc, and the club having to provide proof of radically streamlining their finances just to be able to play in this, so who knows what kind of shape we'll find them in. Also, am I not right in thinking the Greek season doesn't start til September?
  20. Might as well have something obvious for people coming on to find out the draw. Home leg first. Discuss......
  21. Of course, my comment was more of a wee joke about if someone's going to give you any bother, they aren't going to stop for a wee debate over shades of yellow. I was in Turkey in March, it's a fantastic place.
