As great as it is that Higdon is getting plaudits from everyone for last night's game, the thing I find it hard to get my head round is that he didn't really do anything different. For most of the season people have been having a go at him, and now all of a sudden because there's now someone else in the side doing what they are supposed to be doing, he's had a great game? He's been playing as well as that all season and it's gone completely unappreciated.

I'm getting some pistols for my Thursday night 5's

When they turn up for work, everyone should just pretend they don't know who they are.
-
Fair do's. I do disagree though.

You don't think that these days Ross McCormack is a better player than James McFadden?
-
I'd have MCormack back long before McFadden. McDonald too probably.

You can't really justify changing the team when you're doing well. Individual opinions on individual players aside, our current senior players have put us in a position where we haven't been lower than third and were in 2nd for a decent portion of that time. Does McCall change that? of course not. I don't think it's a coincidence that our crops of youngsters come to full prominence when we aren't doing as well so we've nothing to lose by playing them. A club like us can't have it both ways...we either have a strong first 11-15 that brings us relative success, or we chuck kids in and accept that there's a good chance we'll be nowhere, but one or two of them might develop into something special.

Do you mean apart from having been the name of one of our two main fanzines for longer than some people have been going to Fir Park?

I can't believe anyone's surprised. Stupid retaliatory tackle, and then grabs someone's face twice. I think we'd be better served putting our efforts into getting him to stop being so daft, rather than trying to appeal decisions that shouldn't have had to be made in the first place.

Just to throw in a couple of different ones, Murphy against ICT on the opening day was perfect passing football. Also really enjoyed Steven Lawless's goal against Clyde.
-
I dunno about that, I don't play in the SPL at all and i've been on the end of at least a couple of them.

I think it's a further testament to our form on the road and our season as a whole that "poor home form" means a draw!

Speculation is indeed true...very popular boy is our Chris. Personally I think his ability is extremely limited, and the areas in which he does possess talent, he doesn't use often enough or at the right times. I'll take the cash please...I fully expect when Omar Daley has been here 2 years and we put his stats next to Humphrey's, it would be easy to assume Chris hardly played in comparison.

Born in Falkirk, and lived in the Falkirk/Stirling area my whole life.

Is that the awesome pace that we used to have, but that Humphrey either can't or doesn't use anymore? Chasing a through-ball on Saturday, Gavin Gunning beasted right past him as if he wasn't even trying, when Humphrey was at full pelt.

Where was this advertised? Don't see it on the official site...
-
Hoping to see Steven Lawless get some game time here, looked very promising and exciting any time i've seen him.
-
They were also in the semi's of the cup last year though whereas this year, well, we all know what happened....

No, it's not at all. People are viewing the group as such, because however wrong the rule is...and make no mistake it is wrong, the method of "let's stand firm and do it anyway, cos it's bullshit and they can't make us", is a very youthful and naive way of dealing with a problem, so it's easy to assume that those involved are youthful and naive.

Wrong. This is where that should be. Oh, and i'd say the reasons behind the Motherwell fans being targeted at a game at Pittodrie are fairly obvious. It's because of the Paedo chants at the "McGhee game", and the attention that brought directly afterwards. I was at that game, and I must admit I did laugh at the time, but that doesn't take away from the fact that actions instil reputations, which then work for or against you in the future. That's what's happened here, and because of the way this weekend unfolded and some fans' reaction to Stewards trying to enforce a rule (as wrong as that rule may be...but that's not the issue), it's now going to get worse, specifically for our travelling support. It's no coincidence that the two clubs/grounds where Motherwell fans have come up against resistance this season, are the two grounds where we have been viewed negatively in recent seasons. Paedo-gate at Pittodrie, and Flare-gate at Tannadice. The rules are most definitely wrong, I 100% believe that but, "if enough of us do it then they will have to ignore it", is the wrong way to go about changing a rule. It just gives you a reputation that's caused the above two examples of being denied. And just because the stewards at most grounds are prepared to overlook certain rules, don't lose sight of the fact that it's those stewards that are the exceptions, not the ones that are enforcing them.

Yeah you're right, if only i'd known it wasn't gonna be quite right at the start, I could have much better used that 6p a day. I know times are tight for everyone but fuck me...2 quid for the first month? Even for the interviews and highlights alone which you can watch anytime that's worth it! In fact If it was in Swahili and you had to watch it with the sound off, or even if you never watched the fucker at all....at 6 pence a day it's still worth it!

I've always thought he looks like Greg Hemphill
-
That he completely randomly found a single programme in his house, that happened to be from the exact same date as the day he found it 14 years later?
