  1. I like that cutting off Curtis Main's legs and sticking them on Peter Hartley has become "Photoshopped"
  2. On your last point, I'm led to believe Aldred never had any intention of being here any longer that he was, and that was made very clear at the outset. It was a mutually beneficial arrangement for both parties. We got his services, and he got a shop window to get him out of his current club and into another that's reasonably local to him. Relocation up here was never on the table.
  3. Anytime it's seen in public, it's an advert. That's effectively what shirt sponsorship is, and what the sponsor is paying for. It's also why we'd have to accept a vastly reduced amount if we wanted to sell a version with no sponsor, and then hope we made up the shortfall in extra sales. No way we'd take that risk.
  4. If the sponsor is paying for an advert and then we publish the billboard without the advert on it, i'd imagine they'd be fairly pissed off and claim a chunk of their money back.
  5. Not as fast as you can knock any excitement out of a situation you joyless weirdo.
  6. Ross McLean away to Morton on a years loan, with a recall option after 6 months.
  7. The population of Nigeria doesn't have anything to do with why the kit and the range in general has been given editorial space in Esquire, GQ and most of the respected fashion blogs online. They have absolutely hit upon whats current and in demand at the moment, and also realised the potential for selling football merchandise to non-football fans. Not for a second relating it to us, just pointing out that middle-aged scotsmen on a football forum aren't particularly the go-to focus-group for design that they might think they are. That Nigeria top is, to use the parlance of our times, straight fire.
  8. Sold out upon release with 3 million pre-orders on the back of a worldwide fashion campaign would suggest you've probably not got the slightest clue about "the way to go"....
  9. Openly admits his form fell off a cliff because he felt uncomfortable going bald and being in public.
  10. Pretty much, wasn't uncommon for journo's to have particular players that they would regularly meet in the pub for an informal chat.
  11. Our regular home attendance as a percentage of the towns population is the highest in the country, and one of the highest in the UK i believe. Obviously it's skewed slightly by people like myself who aren't from, and have never lived anywhere near Motherwell, and also whether you add in the surrounding towns and villages as "population", but nevertheless, or crowds are very good for what we are.
  12. The amount of time Carl McHugh thinks he has on the ball makes Morgaro Gomis look like he played one-touch football.
  13. There's a good chance Rangers won't have another 3 years at Ibrox, let aloneJamie Murphy.
  14. I had always wondered why there was a ship on our badge, until UBH re-did it.
  15. Not too sure about that to be fair. Aside from TV stuff, in the case of Man United or Real Madrid etc, you'd be asking the sponsor to accept losing hundreds of thousands (maybe millions?) of walking adverts all over the globe, and the only way they would consider doing that is if the club is willing to accept a massive drop in money.
  16. In all fairness you can put whatever you like in a contract as long as both parties agree to it and it's legal (I know.....I know....). Who knows what that basket case of a club would suggest/ask for.
  17. That Connor Sammon shout will take some topping, even this early in the close season.
  18. Simple indeed. Can we leave you to handle the phonecall to the shirt sponsor to let them know that a portion of the advertising space they have just bought will now be left blank? But thanks for all that money though...
  19. Yeah, I'm aware of the differences...if I buy a replica top for 5's I always pay extra for the player-fit version. I just don't think it applies to clubs at our level. As I say I could be wrong but i'd be surprised if we were anywhere near eligible for that.
  20. He's just equaled the club record for clean sheets - 19, set by Randolph.
  21. All the Si Ferry videos are great, it's a really good series.
  22. capt_oats - Yeah Canterbury were the one company that did both versions, although the player-fit sold out really quickly, and it only happened once. Numpty and UBH, as far as I'm aware the players wear the same stuff as the fans, although I could be wrong. Even though I only wear one for playing 5's I absolutely detest loose-fitting football tops.
  23. I don't think that part could be more wrong. Most players especially these days would rather something athletic and form-fitting, without loose baggy sleeves etc. Your average fan then moans about being too fat to wear it. To please both fans and players you'd need a fan shirt and a player-issue shirt, and I doubt we could afford that.
