Does anyone know what was/is the problem with Carson as mentioned in SR's interview?

Being seeded avoids Celtic/Rangers/Aberdeen/Hibs, that's the only advantage you have.

It has to be Frear, but good performances from Tait, McHugh and Campbell and also mention to Gillespie who probably have his quietist evening ever still looks commanding, although not sure about what happened when he accidentally dropped the ball!!

Well it's official about Sammon, but when you read about his goals per minutes of football at Partick Thistle he is not as bad as everyone thinks so maybe ia decent team he might do ok, as I said in a previous posting I will certainly back him as long as he is a Well shirt.

As much as I am not a fan of Sammon (my Hearts supporting friend suggested he was the worst ever Hearts signing) I will certainly give him the chance to hopefully get his early Killie days form back and SR has always stated that he wants players that he can make better, so hopefully the Irish connection might work on Connor......if this is true we are signing him.

Managed to go along to Dunfermline game tonight, first of all I know it was a "friendly" but it was bloody awful game to watch, defensively we appeared reasonable ( impressed with Gillespie in goal, not that he had much to do, but appears to be a confident keeper), midfield were not creative enough for me, but what worries me was the lack of genuine goal scoring opportunities, Main, Bowman and Johnstone were very ineffective, the bright spot was James Scott when he came on and looked more dangerous than our other forwards put together and was only on for the last 10-15 minutes of the game.

Did we have a sell on clause!!

Has the new scoreboard been successfully commissioned yet? no mention on social media about it.

When does the players report back from their break? are they going to Belfast for pre season as last year?

It certainly has gone quiet as I got told it was more or less a done deal, obviously on holday and waiting to sign on his return!!! personally I think he would be terrific signing if true, As for Ciftci I just don't get it as he played one good game for us against a very poor Hamilton team and everyone thinks he will be the answer to our season, what he will do IF he signs will to increase our wage bill

I see Tomas Cerny has opted out of his contract with Patrick Thistle due to being relegated, I always liked him and still think he would be a good addition for us especially if we loose TC

I think it will be a replacement for Carson, as I have heard from some very good sources that Carson will be sold.

What happened to the possible signing that Alan Burrows promised in his interview at the beginning of the week?

Watched some of the game, I was slightly disappointed in Alan's performance I was not too sure what position he was playing as he seemed to be the striker for most of the second half, but stress I only saw the second half. i wish we had the goalie on our books, he had a superb game and definitely one for the future, but no doubt Sevco will soon take all his abilities out of him!!

Let's hope we can get a few more bob for the Well Society after listening to Alan's interview, he certainly comes over really well and he is credit to Motherwell Football Club.

I am sorry but I thought we were bringing players that we could sell on and I don't think Ciftci will fall into that category, cannot see a queue of clubs wanting him to tell you the truth, he did have a good game against Hamilton, but I think even Jacob Blythe would have had a decent game against the Accies defence on that day. If we do sign him I will certainly support him in every way and would love to proved wrong

Trying to renew season ticket, but having problems get the row number ok, but there is no seat number, where do you find the seat number?

I am bit confused about goalkeeping situation, as I am sure PJ Morrison is going to be too old for the under20's next season, yet according to the website he is retained for the under20's. Does anyone know where Ferguson fits in the pecking order for our goalkeepers, or does he go back on loan again. Is the under 20's/development league still in existence, as there was talk about the reserve league getting resurrected. Personally I thought Griffiths was not too bad a goalkeeper and still think he has potential, but I am sure SR knows better than me!!! Still on the player squad retention, I thought Ross McLean was also out of contract this summer, but no mention of him leaving, so I take it he has still got another year left of his contract?

By the sounds of SR's recent comments it certainly looks like we are going to loose a few players in the summer, I would imagine Carson will be one of them, but not sure who else we will sell apart from the usual suspects, Cadden and Kipre, I am sure we will be able to get some decent money for any of them, especially if they have a Scottish Cup winners medal.

With Rose and Grimshaw signed up for another year, I would assume that might be the end of resigning current players, I wouldn't loose any sleep losing Plummer/Petravicus in the summer, I am not so sure about Griffiths, Bigrimani or Maclean, I still think they could be decent pool players, but I put enough trust in SR judgement!!
