As a matter of interest does the seeded game get a home tie? There are still a few potential difficult games even with unseeded teams, namely Hearts/Hibs!! -

It was also nice to see Alan Burrows attended the game, must be very encouraging for the youngsters to see their CEO or whatever position he holds taking the time to go and watch. I cannot see many other CEO's doing this in Scottish football! -
The only disappointment of McHugh's contract extension that it wasn't three years

I am sorry I thought it was a good decision by McManus not to tackle as it would have been a definite red card. Why Frear did not shoot when he decided to miss pass the ball to Edinburgh City player that led to the pass that made their goal. -
It was definitely good all round performace against a disappointing Morton team. But had to go for McHugh who was excellent

Just as well we included the big sell on clause!!!

Patrick Thistle

Best of luck to Craig, I hope he does well in London. Hats off to SR as he did say that he would have to move on a few players which everyone knew who they were so just need Jacob to move on and that will free up some cash for maybe a decent player, but still think Moult will be away by end of August Does anyone think that McGhee would have managed that?

I assume the Queens Park game is on TV as it is their 150th anniversary, or maybe TV people think there is a shock result could be on the cards i.e. Motherwell might win!!! -
I honestly think Louis will be gone by the end of August as the club will cash in him while in contract, my worry is plan B, if he is sold in the last couple of days of August, we certainly would need to bring someone else as Bowman/Blyth is not the answer. May I suggest Dean Shiels as at present not with anyone, there is talk of Dunfermline signing him, even a couple of my Rangers mates thought he was half decent!!
-
I really wish him well at Killie, it just wasn't working for him with us. On saying that I saw a few under 20's games that he played in and was a stand out, but just never did anything in first team, so there is potential I would say, so the club were correct to add a sizeable sell on clause.

Joe Chalmers scored from 30 yards!!!!

Joe Chalmers and David Ferguson also included in ICT

I am sorry cannot see that happening Moult to Aberdeen, even if they could afford the fee cannot see Aberdeen paying more than double he will get with us, I am sure he will end up in English Championship or first division where they pay a lot more than Aberdeen can afford. I think Craig Brown said a few years ago that most of the Premier league clubs in Scotland were competing with English 2nd Division in wages and cannot see Aberdeen competing much more than that.
-
As much as I would like Bowman to succeed with us, I just cannot see it, I think if he was playing in the championship or first division of the SPFL I think he would be a good asset, on saying that he might score a couple against Rangers on the 6th August and that would set him up for sizeable transfer fee!!!
-
Has anyone any idea who the players that he wants move on (I assume it is to move on NOT loaned out) in order to bring another player, I assume Blythe, Thomas will be on that radar, I would like to think he will need Bowman, but I suppose if he could get him moved on he would, but our worst scenario is for Moult to be sold on transfer deadline day!!
-
Ok we are signing some decent players (I think!!) but do we have any decent young players that that will come through the under 20's to the first team especially in defence, I have seen some of the younger players last season, not sure that McGuire or Armstrong are ready for the step up. I am sure that Alan Campbell and Ross McLean will be involved with the first team, but yet again midfielders. I just hope Stephen Craigen has recruited well for the under 20's as I am sure that SR will have to find a couple of players to promote from the under 20's. as part of his job description.
-
I don't know if it just me but I do feel very optimistic for the season ahead, after listening to all the interviews in Dublin, I just hope I am not too disappointed with some of the performances of the new players, appears they have one thing in common they are all looking forward to the Rangers game which cannot be bad!!

With the capacity of 3000 (500 seated) for Ainslie Park where we will play the Edinburgh City game, not sure how many Well fans will turn up, as we always seem to take a few fans when playing in Edinburgh, so hopefully will be a great atmosphere for that game. -
If we do (as I suspect) sell Louis Moult before the deadline, are there anyone on the market that would fit the bill? I suspect not as Bowman/Blythe are not the answer!! I just trust SR will have someone in mind as a replacement.
-
Would we be genuinely interested in Lafferty?, I don't think any Rangers supporters rated him when he was at Ibrox, so I would suggest "leave alone"
-
Does anyone have any hope of Dom Thomas making it this season, personally cannot see it happening and suspect he will be either out on loan or hopefully manage to find another club.
-
I was just thinking with just 7 weeks to go for the first premier league game, do you think we are ahead of our struggling rivals with our signings, as there seems to be no signings for Ross County, Hamilton or Killie, ok Dundee got Allan and a midfielder Deacon. There is a long way to go and a lot of transfer activity still to come, but does anyone else think we might be slightly ahead of our rivals in the transfer scene?

That is Nearly two weeks since McFadden departed, any news/rumours about replacement?
