  1. He had a good game, albeit he did not have that much to do, but he was doing a lot of shouting at his defence
  2. Talking of goalkeepers, how about Jamie McDonald as he seems to be out of favour at Kilmarnock
  3. He played against Dunfermline under 20's a few weeks ago, although he was seemed to be doing a lot of shouting at his defence he was definitely at fault for one of the goals, overall I wasn't that impressed with him, but that was his only one and only game for Motherwell, so I might be a bit unfair on Griffiths and maybe he might fit the bill for having a shot in the first team. Was Samson really at fault for the two goals....I don't think so, but he does have his hairy moments, as most goalkeepers have!!
  4. I am surprised nobody has mentioned Pearson's performance or non performance, I am sorry but I think he is not the same player as last season and deserves to be dropped. The referee did us no favours the day, but that's what happens when you are in the bottom half of the league. I also have to give St Johnstone credit as they are well organised team and it shows they don't leak many goals
  5. It will be difficult with the possibility of most of the defence going to be missing, but I am sure Robinson might get a result out of the match. I forgot to add I thought Tait was out for the season, but on his pre match interview Robinson said that Tait might be ready before McManus, what operation did Tait have this week?
  6. It will not be the best start for Robinson with possibly no central defence, it will be interesting to see who will in there if there is no Jules/Heneghan, as I just don't think McGuire is ready for first team, but probably no choice in the matter!! I also think we need to see Pearson and Cadden start to come into some kind of form, as both of them have not done anything in the last month or so
  7. I am not upset at the appointment and he does know the club and players which in my opinion goes a long way to managing them, although he seriously needs to have a big assessment of them at the end of the season regardless which league we play in next season.
  8. Just wondering when do we expect McManus back playing with us? I take it will not be until after the split?
  9. Does anyone think that McFadden should also go, as he was part of the management team that has let us down. I have mixed feelings and can only judge what I see on match day and certainly does not fill me with confidence. It would be interesting to find out what players really thought. I take it whoever takes over will be told to keep McFadden as an assistant,
  10. We should ask Steven Thompson as he seems to give an unbiased view of football games.... I don't think so, he genuinely thinks that Griffiths was not fouled in the box against Rangers today in the dying minutes!!
  11. I think Sir Alex Ferguson would have struggled to do any better, considering we were on the road to oblivion with all the goals we were leaking, I honestly think we done not too bad for the two AWAY games.
  12. Based on watching the Aberdeen v Patrick cup game, it must give us some hope for Saturday, as both teams are awful if the truth be known.
  13. Carl McHugh based on ALBA highlights.
  14. We have to keep with Robinson for the rest of the season, as even he recognised that one victory is the not the end of our problems, but I am sure the team has taken a load of confidence from yesterday's result, so let us hope we can at least make a game of it at Pittodrie on Saturday.
  15. I must have missed this one, but I see Liam Grimshaw is playing for Chesterfield, is that loan or permanent move from Preston?
  16. I am sorry I would not even consider Ainsworth, he has done nothing to suggest he could change the team, if he does play just hope he proves me wrong
  17. I see Hearts have been adopting the Motherwell school of defending!!
  18. I am sorry I just think the club were a bit rash in sacking McGhee,, as I just cannot see anyone that comes in turning things around immediately, if we do appoint someone and get relegated are we going to turn on the newly appointed manager? I honestly think we might have survived with McGhee in charge, I agree that some of his signings has let us down and he never addressed the situation of a central defender as clearly Jules/Chalmers was not the answer, although I see potential with some of signings Blythe, Bowman and Greer.
  19. Saw Griffiths in the under 20's last week, was not really that impressed with him, although he did a lot of shouting to his fellow defenders, so he seems commanding that way!!
  20. The worst 20 minutes of football I have ever watched, take nothing away from Dundee, but I am sure Albion Rovers could have scored a few against us. The other problem now is even we drop a few of the defensive players i.e. Samson and Jules, who have we got to replace them with, as I go to the under 20's games and there is nobody ready for first team football. I saw Griffiths play and was not impressed!
  21. Excellent spot, that is strange he was playing, I was most impressed with him and was hoping maybe he could be on Motherwell's radar?
  22. Went along to the under 20's match v Dunfermline at Kelty Hearts junior ground, have to say Dunfermline played well and that No 3 Duthie for them , not only he had a cracking game and scored a brilliant goal for their 3rd goal. I hate to say the most ineffective player on the pitch was Ainsworth, Blythe had a good first half, Lucas was average, we could have played an extra 45 minutes without scoring, they were terrible second half. Have to say Kelty Hearts ground was a nice neat ground, but cold!!
