Agree entirely, funnily enough last seasons game v Ross County comes into mind!!

The Well Society newsletter saying that we are playing Hibs away on Tuesday 1st November in a reserve game but the SPFL website says that the match is postponed, does anyone know if this reserve game is on or off? This situation does not surprise me as the reserve games this season must be the most unorganised league in UK in fact I don’t know why they bother, before COVID I actually enjoyed going along to watch the reserves at least you get to see any potential up and coming players but this new reserve league which consists of 10 teams playing each other once and are playing one game /month, I know we need a reserve league to give players whether our young players or our so called first team players who are not getting a first team game a chance to get some match practice!

I see our old friend Lee Erwin is looking for a club after having a great season in Finland which now is closed for the winter, with Moult suspected not to play in the near future maybe worth a punt?

I honestly don’t think we are a bad side we certainly have good players, obviously our defence let us down again yesterday but the 11 games we have played for the first round of fixtures I think we only had one bad second half performance against Killie and possibly the St Johnstone last minute of the game, the Hearts game god knows how we lost that game never mind loose 3 goals, but the rest of the games we never really out of the games and to have a 0 goal difference is quite an achievement considering we have lost 6 of the 11 games played. my main concern now is the injury list and no signs of any coming back soon?

The results today suited us, so let’s hope we can get some kind of result tomorrow although it will depend on which team turn up for us, same can be said of Rangers as well

Probably KVV should be MOM but thought Slattery was outstanding considering his first game in a few weeks

As much as I enjoyed the result from last night against Ross County, it will be a completely different game on Saturday as the Hibs defence should be slightly better than RC, but hopefully we will get a result and another good performance.

Are there any updates on our injured players from the Hearts game, didn’t sound too good for Lamie!

On the day we play Ross County 4th October I see the reserves are due to play Hamilton reserves, just wondering if anyone knows if the reserve game will be switched after all SH was just saying he needed the reserve games to play some first team more match games?

I take it the football will be off this weekend?

I am sure he will be fit enough, I cannot see SH changing the starting 11 unless we have injuries, but I would imagine Louis will come on at some stage of the game

Nobody has mentioned the performance of debut boy Penney, I know the opposition were dire but have to say I was impressed by him tonight and certainly looks a decent addition.

I know he didn’t play many games for us, I do remember him and I was impressed with him, unfortunately that was 2 years ago, so whether he has improved or the reverse I have no idea, but did sign for Huddersfield so must have impressed them.

Do we know why McKinstry was not in the squad?

Wasn’t Hastie contracted until 2023 and Rangers paid him off and I am sure that Kelly was going to be in the same position, I might be wrong but I am sure I saw something to that affect

It’s a good point my mate a big blue nose supporter and he really rated him plus he did do well at Dingwall, not sure how he did at Salford, but I would think he would be a decent player, although I would think another forward and defensive player must be priority

Does anyone know the attendance yesterday, as it looked a healthy home support, although it looked like around 150-200 Livingston supporters which is normal for their away games

Excellent three points today but the most pleasing aspect was Stevie’s substitutes as Cornelius and Shields were not only playing well but were getting bullied by the big Livingston defenders

Have to say listening to Stevie has really gave me confidence for a good season, there is no reason why we cannot make top six, it’s still early doors but Stevie is talking a good game and nice to see that the board are backing him all the way, which I am sure was not happening with GA

Congratulations Stevie thoroughly deserved, it will not be easy, especially inheriting the players that we have and it will take a couple of transfer windows alone just to get a team that you will be happy with. just as a footnote when David Martindale was made Manager at Livingston nobody would have heard of him never mind his capabilities and I hope and expect Stevie to have the same impact with us.

Maybe go for Jordan Jones as a possible replacement?

On St Mirren front it will be just the thing that they will qualify as an unseeded team and we will get them in our first game in the cup, so let’s hope they don’t qualify!
