  1. BBC not quite sure what happened ....... "alledged" & "appeared" "Alves for an alleged swipe at Motherwell's Louis Moult" "Alves appeared to lash out with both feet as he and Moult tangled" At least they saw Ryan incident "he caught his rival with his elbow".........100% correct there !!!!!
  2. +1 our record against them is pathetic,as an unfortunate witness to the 76 semi and the Vic Davisdson 3-5 game 78,have witnessed so many pathetic performances against them..........on the bright side was at 3-1 game oct. 76,2-0 game that cost them the league in 79, 3-0 Jan 83.McLair hat-Rick ......then missed all the wins at Castlegrey skull..........have had a habit of missing our victories against them due to work/family holidays & commitments ........hopefully this will continue on Sunday.........as I'm at a wedding
  3. Yes get the plastic pitch tae feck..........the only thing that was worse today was Craig Thomson Another great 3 points.......coming from behind after losing a goal from Accies first attack
  4. Shame to hear about his passing at such a young age......I'm sure he played in the game where we won 2-1 at piggery in the relegation season In the mid to late 70's I recall us having a not bad record against Smeltic especially away......Big Goldie and Willie P loved scoring against them........unfortunately Dixie and Lennox always seemed to return the favour
  5. Just had a look at train times........only 3 direct trains back to Motherwell after the game 17.42 ,18.26 then 23.14 The inter city trains don't seem to be available .....engineering works ???
  6. Crewe Alexandra have signed Conor Grant from Everton on a season's loan. The 22-year-old Liverpudlian had made his fifth loan move from Everton, during which he has amassed 63 first-team appearances at Motherwell, Doncaster (twice) and Ipswich. Although the midfielder has played in the EFL Trophy for Everton's Under-23 side, he is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Premier League club. Crewe have begun the season well, unbeaten in four League Two games. Grant is Alex boss David Artell's eighth signing since the end of last season.
  7. Or swung an elbow in the direction of his head as per Isma Jambo In relation to Lennons gesture at Ipox.........did Higdon not get a match ban for the same gesture ?
  8. Two weeks into the season and poor refereeing or referee interpretation has been the talking point of both our games It's the lack of consistency that annoys the tits of me......ball to hand/arm in unnatural position......stone wall penalty . Dunne red carded X 2 denying goal scoring opportunity.......accies/ Dundee two penalties no red cards watching sportscene the major talking points in the majority of the games are about poor refereeing decisions.......Stokes not red carded, no penalty for Thistle etc etc etc.......... Yet these clowns will be ruining another game next week
  9. As mentioned by UBH why doesn't Carson just play the ball with his feet ???? It's very 50/50 from picture and from Thomsons position he shouldn't be making any decisions before consulting with the linesman in depth which he doesn't do........it's exactly the same with Dunne, there is contact, but the forward has another couple of steps when he appears to stub his toe,Thomson can't wait to give the penalty/red car Unfortunately McHugh can't tackle like that when on a yellow,20 years ago we would have been praising a superb tackle it wouldn't even have been a foul 1st SJ goal a lucky break......goals 2/3 shocking defending Three home league games on the bounce to sort it out
  10. Yes,still there down to one lane at the Electric both sides up to Kwik Fit......on Thursday was affecting exit from 74 at teatime
  11. Chris Sutton made a comment as Thomas made his only contribution,a free kick into a dangerous area......."Motherwell can afford to let a player like that go".....Craigan shot him down......"One good cross".....
  12. Alan McCormack moves from Brentford to Luton League Two side Luton Town have agreed to sign midfielder Alan McCormack on a free transfer from Brentford. The 33-year-old Irishman spent four years at Griffin Park, making 104 appearances and helping the Bees gain promotion to the Championship in 2014. He has previously played for Swindon and Southend and will officially join Nathan Jones' side on 1 July. "He is the type of player we have been looking for, we are really pleased to have him," Jones told the club website.
  13. Home kit is nice, love the socks, would have preferred a hoop..........and white shorts !!!!! The away kit could have been a classic if it had some Amber stripes/cuffs/collar
  14. Cheer up mate..........Tanner got promoted........that's four out of five came from relegated clubs
