If everyone is fit I’d say first six names in any starting line up are
Paulsen, Johnny K, Moorman, Longelo, Fadinger and Lowry
the remaining five I could probably change my mind every time I think about it. Tough task (good problem) for AJ on team selection/formation.
Should be interesting to hear AJ’s pre match interview. Hopefully no negative news on injury front and see how he thinks his first real extended time with the players has gone.
For sure, he won’t have fixed all our issues. It’s going to take a bit of time before we see the finished article. As Long as we continue to pick up points and play entertaining football I’ll be happy, we can’t (won’t) win every game.
He had at least two other options. Pass it to the right or hoof it up the park and he ignored those options and chose a riskier option by trying to take on their player.
Not sure I would describe the gap as massive between us and bang average European sides. Might just be a case of plays well enough on the day. Yesterday we didn’t play well enough but I’ll be looking for us to play much better in the return fixture at Fir Park.
Changed days. 59% possession at Ibrox and getting beat by a single goal is regarded as a really poor performance.
Not meant as a slight on the comments from anyone but rather a reflection on how far we have progressed that this is how we view today’s game.
just wait till AJ gets them all sorted out and they come to Fir Park.
Aberdeen hopefully get a bruising tiring 120 mins game at Rugby park next Saturday before they play us on the Tuesday. Be nice for us to be the team that has rested.
Regarding the theme of the last few posts, Rangers probably played as well as they have done this season whereas we put in a performance similar in quality to the game against Falkirk. Still we only got beat by one goal that we literally gifted them.
