Not sure we are leaping to defense of our player. Most well fans were not pleased With Slattery
I think we are all up in arms regarding the OTT response from authorities. Or should I say inconsistent response.
there should be a boatload of these retroactive punishments for simulation. I’d expect to see it every week.
Slattery has no control over sending him off. Yes, it was embarrassing and as someone else noted, he should have had a yellow for simulation. It was the incompetent officiating team that decided to send the player off.
This is ridiculous. Diving is not even a red card offence. Who decided to review this and who decided to dish out 4 game suspension?
This is way over the top!! Smells of corruption !!
this has never been done before. Where the fknin the rules and regulations does it allow them to review this and asking a four game ban for a yellow card offence.
What I’m hoping is that JBA stands up and publicly commits to another year at Fir Park. Can you imagine What an effect that would have on the place?
Sadly, I know that’s not going to happen and the best we can hope for is that he actually does end up staying. Even that is probably less than 50/50 chance, so hopefully we have a plan to quickly fill JBA’s position so we can have a manager in place before the window opens.
I see New Zealand second game is on Monday March 30th which is practically Sunday in Scotland so hopefully, barring injuries? Just should be good to go for the Falkirk game.
Looking at top 6 teams none of them performing at top level over the last 6 games
hearts 2 losses
rangers 3 draws
celtic lost 2 and 1 draw
motherwell lost 2 and 1 draw
hibs 3 draws and 1 loss
falkirk 3 losses and 1 draw
Yesterday’s result a wee bit more disappointing now after seeing that Celtic got beat today.
Go to keep the faith though. We know there will be bumps but I trust JBA to keep us going in the right direction. I think we Missed Longelo more than some people thought we might have. Fancy us to beat Falkirk and then our game at Hearts should be a good one.
I’m not aware of any changes having been made to VAR and offside, so the way things are it was the correct call but I’m all for scrapping the lines and unless playback shows it to be blatantly obvious, on side or off side, the on field call should stand.
