  1. Pretty unusual that this will be our third game against Celtic this season and the third manager we have faced. Rogers, Nancy and O’Neil. I imagine this game will be more like the previous one at parkhead but I think even in that game we still matched up well with Celtic. I’m assuming we will have more space to play football in this game versus against Dundee last week so I’ll be expecting Just, Said and JT to be more influential and hopefully some decent shots from our midfield around the edge of the box. Probably our main concern is defense since Welsh is out and Johnny K is still out but if we can maintain the ball for a large percentage of the game then that’s our best form of defense.
  2. JBA has made such a difference in such a short time that sometimes you have to take a step back and remind yourself of just how much progress we have made. Yes, losing was a big disappointment but that was the only game we have lost in 18 against bottom 6 teams. We still dominated the game but just couldn’t manage to get the goals to win it. I was pleased to see JBA’s after match response which was very calm, sensible and measured, giving plaudits to Dundee for making it a very hard game for us amd also sticking by our players for their efforts. Being philosophical a not throwing anyone under the bus, basically sticking by the outlook he has preached all season, “there will be games, where, despite our best efforts, we will get beat”. Keep doing what we are doing well and work on improving in areas where we can do better.
  3. If I remember correctly, they are inside the Arctic circle or maybe I’m mixing them up with another team??
  4. I’m assuming “bump on the nose” is actually “kicked in the face” (his fault) when he tried to rugby tackle the Dundee player.
  5. Were Bodo even smaller than us? At least a similar size? So why not us too! Let’s live the dream.
  6. Well that’s bad because when did the Sun ever publish anything that’s true?
  7. Looking at our performance from the season start this is the only game we have lost in 18 games against the bottom 6 teams. That’s pretty impressive for Motherwell !!
  8. Why is Ox recalled? I also don’t get the NZ reference
  9. Might be the case. But we each have our own opinion on that. More important is that both clubs get punishment that helps to deter these people from doing this again. I’m not holding my breath on that. I’d make them play the first two OF games of next season behind closed doors. This mainly punishes the fans but is also a loss of revenue for both clubs. Then moving forward any time it happens the punishment gets increased by 1 game. Maybe overly simplistic but that’s just off the top of my head. SFA and the clubs need to have a think about it and work out how to stop this. That applies to all clubs.
  10. Yesterday’s result was just a huge disappointment even although I’ve been expecting a defeat to come along at some point. When compared to our new normal performances it was not what we’re used to but I give Dundee some credit for that. Fair do’s to the team and JBA for trying different tactics in the second half, much different than how we normally played. Caused a lot of goalmouth scrambles and on another day we might have got a few goals. I thought when we did score we would at least take a point but we were not able to ( or decided not to) switch back to our more controlled game and be patient as there was still 12+ mins to go. We Continued to persevere with the alternate tactics that got us the equalizer. Despite what we consider to be a sub par performance we still dominated the game so, while very disappointing result, I see no reason to change what we have been doing all season and this is just an expected blip in the road.
