  1. I guess they are squad players. Things were much simpler back in the day when you had just the team and the reserves. No subs even. I remember big Peter McLoy getting injured against Killie I think. Someone went in goals and big Peter came back on as outfield player with his wrist bandaged up.
  2. I can see the Lamie change but I think that would be only change to starting line up and see how it goes.
  3. There are 2 teams and then the rest. If any of the rest can raise their game, go on a run or grind out points they are more than capable of top six finish. So IMHO every team in the league should be aiming for top 6 and have a realistic chance of achieving it. Us getting 5th spot last year being a prime example.
  4. Suddenly it’s good to be a well fan again! I suppose it’s just the rollercoaster ride we are all used to at our great wee club.
  5. Does that include Scottish cup as well or just for the league? The reason I ask is that bbc site has league table partitioned as 1,2 + 3 + 4,5
  6. What European places are up for grabs at the end of this season? I did try googling but couldn’t find answer.
  7. The most I’ve enjoyed a game for quite some time although a wee bit tainted by me just waiting on us collapsing which never happened. Great display. Well done Motherwell. You can tell we were good when the thread is so subdued. Here’s hoping we see a lot more positive results like this and lots of decent football to enjoy.
  8. Enjoyable good performance and a win. See! Not mutually exclusive. That makes you want to go watch a game. Not sure if we can play that well every week but at least we know what we are aiming for.
  9. Not sure what the formation or tactics will be. Goss probably played as well as I’ve seen him play when he went into the middle of the park last week. So do we have Goss and Slattery as two playmakers? McGuire defensive mid? O’Donnell wide right, Morris wide left? Effords instead of Shields?? Add in Tierney and just go with KVV up front?? Spittal instead of Morris? Lots of choices(headaches) for the new boss. Be interested to see how he approaches the game, who he picks and how we line up. Kelly McGinn Mugabi Sol O’Donnell McGuire Morris Slattery Goss Shields KVV
  10. Perhaps the support he will get, because of who he is, will also give the players a bit of breathing room to get their confidence levels back up. If we are backing Stevie then we can’t really be booing players, so we may have to grit our teeth and grind through the next while, showing more positivity than we have as supporters of late.
  11. I refer my honorable friend to our previous manager.
  12. Not ruling Hammy out but perhaps a better time for him to move into MFC manager position is when we have a successful one moving on to a bigger club.
  13. We need to stop whining about teams time wasting. We would do the same and have done the same. The only way to deal with it is to not put yourself in that position.
  14. At least we are trying to play some football but we are just too slow. Another defeat but I still think it’s an improvement on GA performances. Hard to turn it around overnight. Just hope we can turn it around before loosing all confidence.
  15. I’m assuming the board have a list of candidates they would like and will contact them first, as well as seeing who applied ?
  16. Save me a seat for the St Johnstone game! COYW
  17. I really didn’t think we were going to hold out with eleven players so we’ll done on keeping clean sheet and well played Bevis, done when he came on.
  18. Yes. I think he’ll be fine. If Stevie thinks he’s good enough then that’s a good recommendation.
  19. All came from Effords giving ball away under no pressure
  20. We are all over the place yet nowhere to be seen
  21. We’ll be lucky if we manage to keep a clean sheet
