  1. So what positions do Connelly, Mahon and niron’thingy play? I’m assuming one of them is a keeper?
  2. Let’s hope the starting 11 all play well and can get some goals to wrap up the game. since I’m not sure we have too many options on the bench to change the game if we are behind.
  3. Lol had already forgot that
  4. Did our slump also coincide with loosing McGuire to long term injury? Not everyone’s cup of tea but I thought he was coming along nicely. Looked much stronger and fitter and was one of the players who would at least try to play football. I think he will help if he can recover fully from his injury
  5. Are you looking for a job in management at all?
  6. So here’s my proposed team. Not sure what happens if O’Donnell not fit, maybe O’Hara goes to full back. Not badgering you or anything just interested to see what line up you would propose. Your comment re Cornelius does have some merit. Kelly O’Donnell Sol or Bevis Lamie McGinley Tierney Slattery O’Hara Woolery Shields Roberts (versus Utd) Shields KVV Woolery (last 3 games)
  7. I wouldn’t start Donnelly but i would start Slattery and O’Hara
  8. For our best shot at getting 4th I’d go along the lines of below for starting line up. Not the best line up ever but Carroll has to drop out. Bevis has to move out of right back. Ojala is totally fkd and can barely move so he needs not to be on the field. Midfield needs to be able to control pass and move. Attack needs to start KVV (after suspension) and Woolery. Kelly O’Donnell Sol or Bevis Lamie McGinley Tierney Slattery O’Hara Woolery Shields Roberts (versus Utd) Shields KVV Woolery (last 3 games)
  9. We need to fix our issues before the other teams fix theirs or we are in deep trouble.
  10. Maybe we are in the “one step back” phase and next season will be the “two steps forward” phase? I know, I know but I need to cling on to some hope. I know we are in top 6 which is a better position than last year but as you allude to, that’s ‘cause other teams regressed even more than we did.
  11. Blew our chance big time and sadly you may well be right!
  12. I’ve got to decide do I reduce alcohol intake this evening so I can get up to watch 6am kick off. Or do I enjoy this evening and wake up and look at result. I may have to ponder this over a wee drink
  13. If we can just beat them no one is going to give a flying fudge what day the game was.
  14. Wondering what the refs and linesmen are thinking. There’s been a lot of howlers over the years and I think VAR is going to show them in a bad light so maybe they’ll decide they need to up their game a bit.
  15. I think the offside aspect would be the biggest advantage of it. Waste of time if we can only half arsed implement it.
  16. I’m hoping Campbell and Turnbull follow in the footsteps of O’Donnell, Lasley, Hammell and see out their twilight playing years for us.
  17. This is in reference to EPL but same rules would apply to Scotland (top2 v top4 for epl) If a club win the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League and finish in the top four, their qualification for the UCL through their league position is not transferred to another team.
  18. Hope he does well in his new position. Great servant to the club but I think a new challenge for him will be to his benefit. All the best, sir!
  19. A guaranteed spot in conference group would be pretty good. Of course I wouldnt really have to deal with all the gloating and related shite on a daily basis being over here. Suppose I’ll just deal with it whatever way it pans out. Although there is a wee bit of a twist in that we have been supporting west Ham for a long long time since way back we could only get to watch EPL games. I’d be good with Hammers winning Europa and Motherwell advancing in conference competition.
  20. Let’s hope St Mirren win the battle
  21. Some interesting choices for the post split fixtures, especially with KVV out for the first 2 games. Lately been a lot of posts harping on getting a settled team selection, formation and style (me included) but with opposition and KVV missing to start with is this a time where we mix and match or so we stick with 4-3-3 and just try to replace like with like? With KVV out and defensive worries would we change to a 3-5-2 or go 4-4-2? Would we keep same line up/tactics v Rangers and Utd? Tierney, O’Hara and Woolery all made a difference when they came in at Livi. Do any of them start? How do we approach the rangers game? High press? Attack them? Park the bus? Try to play football? Resort to howf and chase? Lots of things for Alexander to consider.
  22. I thought Carroll was better than McGinley but since he got his starting place back I have to say I have been very disappointed. Offering zero going forward and continually caught out of position or on wrong side of attacker. Only the one showing but I’d go with O’Donnell at left back for the remaining games. Not ideal but at the moment I’d say best option for back four is Mugabi Sol Lamie O’Donnell.
