Well O’Donnell about to get some game time in his legs now

I think better to do it now rather than 10 games in but we’ll see how it turns out.

After first leg I thought it couldn’t get worse and we would have enough to get by Sligo. Now after the second leg why would I think it will get better against St Mirren? We are in complete disarray, totally lost at sea. St Mirren will be up for it with a bunch of guys eager to get one over on their old club. I don’t think it’s going to be a good day.

But can it get any worse? Of course I said that after Sligo first leg.

Ok perhaps outclassed might be the wrong word but I can accept that description. Maybe a better phrase would have been “with alarming ease”

Not just on here. There were several occasions where the team earned a resounding chorus of boos from the traveling support. I’m not one for booing but I can’t say the performances don’t deserve it.

Agree, but I still stand by my comment. As has been mentioned in other posts that might reduce if we play players in the right positions.

Usually you can take some sort of positive from games but even that is gone now over these 2 games.

I think another manager could do a better job with the same players.

We may have had a fair few shots at goal but I would not agree with him that we created “a lot of good chances”. We should have enough to still get through to the next round but we need to up the performance make chances and most importantly convert those chances into goals. Stay focused, don’t panic and no stupid mistakes. COYW!

You know what, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and agree with his perception that it’s “fine margins” ……..BUT…….. the whole point is, adopt a different better approach/system so that games do not get decided based on fine margins. We need to be playing whereby if the “fine margin” things don’t go our way, we still win the game or at least don’t get beat.
