I agree with all the negative comments on Alexander but if you look at a few of the games prior to St Mirren the stats for shots and shots on target Vs the opposition have been pretty decent. However he has to look beyond that and think how much better would the stats be (and points tally) if he actually had the right formation, tactics And players. We may have a 4 3 3 formation but we are not playing a 4 3 3 style of football because our middle 3 are not strong or skilled enough to play that style but what we do get is all of the negative downsides of not being able to implement 4 3 3 properly. Why he does not see that I’ll never know.

Lol got to go the front room to watch the stream. I forgot UK changed clocks and actually woke up and seen we were 1 up after 30 mins. Even then I just rolled over and went back to sleep. Knew it wouldn’t last. It’s a sad day when I don’t even bother to watch. You could probably put me in the happy clapper category but how the manager can watch this stuff week in week out and think we are fine is terrible. As long as he thinks it’s fine he’s not going to change it.

We got 15 points from the first round of games. We’ll be lucky to get 5 points this second round of games.

I can handle the poor calls except for the penalty retake. That was completely ridiculous. Even if his back foot was off the line (which it does not seem to be) that is way too close for the linesman to call while determining when the ball started to move. My only explanation is that the linesman does not know the rules. Sees his front foot well off the line ahead of the ball moving and calls it based on that.

Have to keep reminding myself we didn’t get beat. Just feels like it.

I thought Carroll was brought on to try and get 3 points. In the short time he was on the field he managed to get a few good balls into the box. That’s why I’d play him over McGinley. Defense wise I think they are both suspect but you get more from Carroll going forward.

I think he was put in a situation that whatever he done he SHOULD have done something different. So I’m letting him off the hook.

I wonder if the linesman even knows he only needs 1 foot on the line. Terrible call.

Kelly was hung out to dry for the first goal. He doesn’t come out then the guy strolls in. He does come out, narrows the angle but Brophy finishes very well. Meantime Grimshaw (im not one of his regular detractors) is fkn sauntering slowly back not even trying to help and make up for letting the St Mirren player run unchallenged onto the ball. Not even sure where McGinley was

Not sure what has happened but after our first game against Hibs I was looking forward to enjoying us play some football this season. That was by far our most entertaining display of the season but it’s been all downhill from there with respect to enjoyable viewing. Having said that we are in 6th place so quite happy with that. The big worry is that based on our recent displays we may tumble towards the bottom. Remains to be seen.

He also has to be sure that happens before the ball moves. The earlier picture I think the ball is already moving. All academic now but really annoying that it’s very close either way and is not usually enforced unlesss it’s blatant.

Overall we stole a point. But having been up by 2 goals and then the manner In which we last 2 goals it feels like we dropped 2 points. Any way you look at we are not playing very well at all.
