Going by highlights we were deserved winners. 2 great results in this mini run of 3 games. Probably the hardest two out of the 3 but can’t get complacent. We need to go out on Sunday play like we are capable of and put the work in to get another 3 points and finish the year on high sitting in third spot with 40 points and serious contenders for third place at the end of the season.

While last Saturday was a good day all round for us and other results we have the chance for another good week. Number 1 is us taking care of our game. Rangers should probably beat Killie, so hoping Livingston can take points off Aberdeen. Not too far fetched, so c’mon super well, let’s get it done. COYW

Just watched it on the highlights, The goalie was right where Carroll hit the ball. Apparently he couldn’t be arsed lifting his hands to save the ball. Looks like he was expecting it to go to his left and started to move that way and that seemingly rooted him to the spot.

Not seen anyone else mention it but although Carroll hit the free kick well I’m not sure the Killie goalie comes out of it not looking very good. One of the benefits of actually getting a free kick on target.

Game was certainly more open the second half. So both sides had some chances. I think this was the most difficult game of the 3 game run in to end of year but next two are still going to be tough. You don’t get points just for turning up.

Killie were playing 1 pass and now we had 4 or 5 players there wrong side of the ball. Was much happier seeing Scott up in the corner.

Long has good speed as well but we never give him a decent ball in behind the defense to run onto.

Hopefully we can get 3 points but 1 point wouldn’t be too bad. Not bad at all if celtic get the finger out and beat Aberdeen.

We have the chance to make this a terrific weekend. Hibs already beat. Aberdeen likely to get beat. Livingston playing Ross County. We have to be up for this game and play as well as we can to take all points. Would be a good week for our midfield to fire on all cylinders.

Live video on Motherwell tv?? Really important game, more so for us to keep the gap between us and the teams below, I think, rather than keeping pace with Aberdeen. End of the day could see us 11 points clear of 5th place team (assuming Hibs don’t win) or cut back to only 5 point gap. Getting 11 points clear of 5th place at this point in the season would be huge

And could he contribute while getting up to match fitness?

Yes, similar to the 3 games prior to rangers. 9 points up for grabs. Taking each game on its own we have a decent chance to pick up 3 points from each game. Of course we need to turn up and play but our aim should be 9 points. 6 or 7 points would be alright. 5 points would be ok but anything less than 5 points doesn’t suggest us challenging for third spot.
