  1. Whatever the outcome i have no issue with the way we have handled this.
  2. Paraphrasing. Didn’t they just say they would take care of him through any surgery and get him back to 100%? So then first step would be to confirm surgery is required.
  3. I’d love for a second and/or 3rd opinion to give him clean bill of health. Now wouldn’t that be embarrassing. That would just be icing on the cake. Feel sorry for the lad but Im confident he will get a better deal come January or maybe even this window
  4. Oh and the first thing I would do is get a second opinion.
  5. I think what they meant to say is. Celtic are reneging on the original deal and MFC have insisted on original terms so the deal is off. WELL DONE MOTHERWELL. hopefully we can do right by Turnbull so if another team makes an acceptable bid in this window we will entertain that.
  6. Zero negotiations required. We need to give celtic a deadline and force the issue to closure. And not a far out deadline. I mean something like you have till Friday 10am to accept or it’s done and over for good. Turnbull might be disappointed but he will get other better offers.
  7. Still not sure how legit this dodgy knee thing is.
  8. Turnbull not even on the bench for first game. His knee must be worse than first highlighted by Celtic.
  9. Regardless of what is actually happening, either sign him per original agreed terms or don’t. To paraphrase Nike “FFS get it done”
  10. I think most people are worried that a “fee they are happy with” will be less than originally agreed. Which would mean we let them shaft us. We shall just have to wait and see how it pans out. I would say though that I think MFC should be driving this to a close much sooner rather than later.
  11. Agree, no sign of that so far. Let’s hope that’s true tomorrow. I see no reason why it shouldn’t be. I would expect the board’s reaction to be the same as the fans, sorry, OWNERS !
  12. While not agreeing with original decision to sell him to Celtic. I respect the choice made and have no complaints about how the board have handled this as it has dragged on. However, if they do not resolve this by tomorrow then my opinion will change drastically. They best show they have some balls and just tell celtic “full amount, original terms. I’ll give you 1 hour to decide. Any answer other than yes means Motherwell will not be selling Turnbull to Celtic.” Then it’s all over and done with one way or the other but it has to stop and no reason for it not to end tomorrow.
  13. Not assuming that but it’s still a possibility. I’m hoping it kills the deal and that he can stay with us then get a better deal or at worst still leave but get a better deal.
  14. I think this may be one time when everyone on here is in agreement and I hope the board realize the position of the fans. We cannot and should not even entertain any reduced price or change in terms. We need to step up and tell them to complete this deal now or else there is no deal. Not now and not any time in the future.
  15. Negotiations???? It will cost you this much to buy him. Negotiations done. We move on
  16. Looks fine to me anytime I’ve seen him. Make your mind up Celtic. Pay the money or GTF. Would love to have him back playing here, show Celtic what a cripple he is by banging in a few against them and then get even more money for him in January.
  17. So now got the attention of a few clubs ?
  18. Who is shankland and who does he play for?
  19. I thought that’s why we started down this road. Although I think the wording was “a fee” which is possibly different from terms? But you would think it would have been sensible to have terms all agreed prior to them moving onto personal negotiations
  20. Other than that we're fine
  21. The owners of the club should implement a business process that states we never sell players to SPFL teams
  22. Of course had he stayed the cash might have been morer hugerer when he did leave but then of course there’s the old “a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush” philosophy.
