  1. Official that he is not playing against Glentoran?
  2. Not time for Robinson to go yet. A lot of good suggestions on here so I’m pretty sure he has not ran out of ideas. He just has to move is bum and try some of them!! While we are obviously not scoring and not in a position we hoped or expected to be in, there is a very long way to go. We could easily have been sitting on 6 or more points but for some fine margins. I agree with some of the previous posts about finding the best system to suit our best players and also that we are perhaps not playing our wingers in the correct way in the current system. I’d say so far the Livingston game was the one that worried me the most but I think we are past that. I’d say we need to not panic but enjoy the possession other teams are willing to give us and be more patient for openings to appear or be created. We are trying to force the attacks and end up playing 50/50 balls at best instead of maintaining possession and moving the opposition defenders around.
  3. We weren’t even unlucky. We just never created any real clear “ should score” chances. On the other hand I think Accies has a few “how the hell did he miss” chances.
  4. There’s obviously something very wrong with the stream. I haven’t seen us win Yet this season
  5. Looks like he has his boot laces tied to each other.
  6. Yep! Regardless of how you analyze a game or what impression you have. The score never lies. The beauty and simplicity of football, the best team is always the one that scores most goals.
  7. 3 defeats all 1-0. We need to spend all our time working on how to create and convert scoring chances. That’s the number 1 priority that needs fixed ASAP.
  8. Nothing up front sadly. Substitutes also very ineffective when they came on. Then once we took Campbell off it just handed midfield to Accies and there was only ever going to be one team scoring after that.
  9. White pretty much giving what I expected, not a lot. But disappointed in Contribution from Lang. Seidorf, needs to be a bit more alert. Maybe give them another 10 mins then put long on for white.
  10. I think I’d start with same 11 as last week. If we are scoreless after first half I’d switch it to play Watt and and Long as a front 2 and give Lang the freedom to move wherever
  11. Ok first things first, what’s starting line up? Then, how many will we beat them by? COYW
  12. Thought it was a decent discussion. Interesting to see the different viewpoints and interpretations. Doesn’t decide it one way or the other really but the acid test is, would I have been ok with Hibs being awarded a goal like that against us and I’d say, no. So perhaps officials do have it correct but I can see that maybe going a different way in another game.
  13. That’s my point. None of the Hibs defenders reacted in any way to the goal. Suggesting to me that seidorf did not influence them at all. Let’s face it even most of the time at an obviously valid goal there’s a bunch of defender throwing their arms up in the air for an offside call. I’m not raging about the call just think that on another day we might have been awarded the goal.
  14. I just watched the clip of the “goal” on Twitter. Not one of the Hibs players even raised an arm. I also think the ref signaled for a goal. So it comes down to the linesman giving the offside and no way can he tell if Seedorf was in the goalies line of site. So I think we were a bit hard done by.
  15. Looking forward to getting our first victory next Saturday.
  16. While we did not score I though we at least looked more likely to score today. (I know, not hard to look more likely compared to the other games) Some good blocks from the Hibs defense. Having said that, I agree with an earlier post that we need to be able to do something better at corners. For all the corners we have had and not to score from one is something that needs to be improved.
  17. Be nice to start that next week and bang in a bunch against Accies at Fir Park to keep them rooted to bottom spot with “nil point”
  18. Alan Campbell for me. Glad we have a week till next game. He needs a good rest after that. Lamie much improved today, O’Donnell great addition. Mugabi pretty decent other than a couple of scary moments in the first half. Turnbull starting to get back to normal. Carson’s distribution a step up from Gillespie’s
  19. This is the first match that actually merits “ man of the match” thread. And I’m giving it to Campbell. He’s probably not even waiting on the team bus, he’ll just run back home!
  20. You may be right but there were several occasions where we should have knocked it behind their full back early although having said that the wingers don’t seem to have a good knack of knowing when to make the run
  21. Thought we held “free scoring” Hibs very well. Carson only had 1 real save I think. Midfield was much much better. Campbell was great and Turnbull much more involved. Now if we can get a bit more out of the forwards we’ll start going in the right direction. We should get O’Donnell signed up for the season.
  22. I’m not going to judge Watt on that. I’d like to see him in for the first half when midfield were going forward a lot more.
  23. I’ll take that. Good solid performance to build on.
