  1. Beatings will continue till Morale improves
  2. yep, sounds like they have done more than enough to be in the starting line up for Saturday regardless of who is fit. That may mean Sutton on the bench and that's fine so hopefully when Erwin dips in form Sutton will be rady to grab his starting spot back. Same for midfield and defence....... start the one performing the best.
  3. all things considered a 1 - 0 defeat is better than I expected. Bring on the next game !!
  4. how many times has he stayed on the park when he should have been off??? they need to stop greeting and get on with it!!!
  5. anything other than a drubbing will be an improvement on our last few games against them. Utd more than anyone just seem able to rip us apart and actually punish us by scoring goals. Not holding out too much hope but you just never know with us. COYW
  6. not sure of who is available fo rthis game but based purely on reading some of the feedback on here anyone think we shoul skeep Kerr along side McManus and put Ramsden at right back? I think Ramsden was giving a lot more to the team at right back than he has done at centre back. Seems liek some positive feedback on Kerr at his natural position.
  7. haven't seen the highlights yet but just going by people's posts I would say Erwin keeps his place.
  8. I don't see vigurs as a wide left player. so yes I think Vigurs is best in the middle
  9. All fair points ! He needs the right encouragment and instructions from McCall and Black to go do it. I think if Angol can reach his potential and Ainsworth can remain interested long enough we will get plenty balls into the box and Sutton showed last season he can score goals. So while I think it would be great to get some addtions to the squad we can do way better with what we alredy have so I it's not all doom and gloom.
  10. i think he could be a good player for us this year. For me he is the only player to sldie into that wide left position. i think it's been mentioned on here about mcCall trying to get the best 11 players on the park at the same time even if they don't fit. i think he has to bite the bullet and get the right players in the right positions. if he does that, then, for me Angol is the wide left player. Kerr should never go on the wide right. I would think for most of the season Ainsworth is starting in the wide right position. That leaves Las, Vigurs, Leitch, Carswell competing for the 2 middle spots and starting places should be based on form and not reputation. Having said that I think i could see Leitch or Carswell subbing on for Ainsworth at wide right. I would say also that based on our fitness level perhaps Las, Vigurs, Leitch, Carswell have to "share" game time in order to mainntain intesity in the middle of the park throughout the whole game or at least for way longer than we are currently doing.
  11. So everyone who says Vigurs will not be playing because he is supended, are nuts?? Am I understanding your post correctly?
  12. Lumpin Feck! I am as gutted as the next person over the result last night but it's really hard to believe some of the comments on here. Of course McCall has weaknesses, of course he makes bad decisions, of course we have fkd up some games but keep it in perspective the results over the past few years have been almost unbelieveable to such an extent that I think that we are developing somewhat of an "old firm like" complex. How good or bad is he ? Only fair comparison would be to look at results for him and previous managers. Games played( Cups and League ) : Won lost tied How does his percentage compare to other managers? I don't know but I would wager he has to be in the top 3 of our managers all time. Who would come in and do better? As for change of direction, being relaistic, from the past 3 years the only change of direction is going to be down the way. "The deciding factor for me though is the long running serial weaknesses which he has been unable or unwilling to address. We all know they include a leaky defence, an imbalanced midfield and latterly poor goalkeepers" I think he addressed it by finishing best of the rest for the past 3 years :-)
  13. Tough call. I would say normally that weaker teams have best chance when they park the bus and hit on the break. So if they do open up and go for attack that may suit us better.
  14. id have him back for a regular wage
  15. I'm hoping the plan is to beat this mob in Iceland and then get Ojamaa back here for the next round.
  16. Although I think away form being good is somewhat based on the expectation of the home team attacking us. They have no real incentive to attack.
  17. I don't know how I feel about this upcoming game. One minute I am full of confidence that we will just brush them aside then the next minute I'm dreading the game thinking what a downer it wil be to get put out by a semi pro team. Roll on Thursday so I can get past this!!!!
  18. I've always found the tactic of scoring more goals than your opponent to be rather successful
  19. I seen him play for us as keeper and as right back. He was very young when he played his first game for us. I am thinking about 17 or 18. Altohugh I could be mistaken as it was a long time ago. I think we signed him straight from school Lanark Grammar.
  20. Keith McRae fair right back as well !

    Stjarnan

The word "incredible" is very fitting but yet at the same time, for on here, the word normal comes to mind
  22. Maybe other clubs don't rate him as highly as we do? Obviously his current club falls into that category.
  23. I think, for me, that the most annoying/dissapointing thing last night was the fact that despite being aware of our downfall in the past we end up getting done with the same old sucker punch again. Game almost done, we didn't need to throw bodies up for the corner, that's the first ,mistake. we should have been pissing about in the corner with the ball to make sure we held our lead and seen the game out with a victory. Secondly, since he was up there, first thing Ramsden should be doing ( and any one else in that fckn box) is hauling their arse back between the ball and our goal when they broke out. We did get some bodies back but ended up with 3 players stalling around 1 of their players instead of getting between the ball and the goal. Unfortunately I think we are not learning our lessons well enough.
