We should be able to take 3 points from this but as always, only if we put the effort into the game. Killie are 11th in away form, win 2 draw3 and loose 10. On current form they are win1 draw1 loose 4. C'mon Ye 'Well !!!

i would rather see them announce the split fixtures at the start of the season based on league position. The top 4 teams would get 3 home games with 5th and 6th only getting 2 home games.

we have scored 50 and conceded 44 this season so far for +6 goal diference last season we ended up plus 16 67 for 51 against

Maybe a thread all on it's own but I think we sould get McCall on a longer term contract. I know he has some shortcomings but I think he handles players well and his personality helps attract players to fir park. He does handle the media well also. He likes being here and the way the club us run, I'd be hard pressed to think of a manager i would like to replace him with. I think he has way more positive attributes than negative ones and if nothing else having him on a longer term contract either provides stability or a better chance of some decent compensation from any other club that wants him.

We should be confident but hopefully the players go into every game now with the right attitude. We have no divine right to the 3 points. They need to go out on the park and perform well. The last 4 games prior to the split are our best chance to rack up some points but as mentioned it's up to the players to put in the performances to win the points. Especially when you look at Dundee Utd's run in to the split but we need to do our bit and win the games. Haivng read that are we sure that is correct? Early on it said if league winner wins the cup then runner up gets a spot, otherwise the runners up do not get a place in europa. Yet at the end he says if an ineligible team wins the cup then the runners up get a europa spot. Really ??? For the first scenario he states that UEFA mandated this so have they also mandated that if an ineligible teams wins it then runners up get the spot in europa cup?

Should make for an entetaining, exciting, nerve jangling roller coater ride through the last 10 games as it probably means we need to put the focus on scoring goals since we can't stop the other teams scoring. A few more games with 5 or more goals in the offing???

With 10 games left and league as shown below thats a pretty confident statement. I don't even think St Johnstone come into the reckoning. The possible finish scenario is not entirely something that we can rule out. Hopefully we can hit form during the run in and secure second or third place. it's not beyond the realms of possibility that big John could equal or beat Higgy's 26. I wouldn't put money on it but with 10 games left if he hits a purple patch he might get there.

I think that is assuming Aberdeen and Dundee Utd finish in the top 4. What if Utd win the cup and finish 5th ?

I think we can win this and our next 2 home games after that , against Ross county and Killie. We really need to get all 9 points so that we can maximize the benefit of Dundee utd V Inverness and Aberdeen v Dundee utd results

With 6 games left I am not so sure since 4 of them are St Johnstone, Inverness, Aberdeen and Celtic plus St Mirren and Hearts However I would expect them to get at 9 to 12 points from that So we certainly need to keep picking up points

At the moment we are are the third best team in the league. Say what you like about other teams play better or whatever but the cold hard fact says, at the moment, we are better than them all bar Aberdeen and Celtic. I think we are all guilty of it from time to time) ok maybe a lot of the time ) but the results and league table are the facts. How many times have you heard "the best team got beat" Sorry! but the best team is the one that scores the most goals. Likewise the best team in the league is the one with the most points. Now are other teams more entertaining? Probably so but are they better? Other than Aberdeen and Celtic the factual answer is No. EDIT: Apologies to the forum for resorting to facts.

doesn't matter if you beat top 6 or bottom 6 team it's how many games you win. The other teams also play the same bottom 6 teams, so yes, we can lament our form against the top 6 teams but our record against the bottom 6 teams is outstanding and obviously better than any of the other top 6 teams bar Celtic. Of course having said that we could be up shit creek without a paddle after the split since we wont get to play any bottom 6 teams As someone else mentioned, March is a big month. 4 home games and 1 away to Hibs. Chance to steady the ship and gather some points in the run up to the split. But certainly we need to up the performance level from the last 2 games. I still think we can finish 2nd or 3rd but that remains to be seen.

Agree on 1st point Second point, not only was Hammll shoved in the face but utd player's hand was right over his eyes so hard to blame him too much when he could not see anything 3rd I would say is McFadden. The wall was set up pretty well. You are not supposed to jump out of the way of the ball. But as far as I am concerned. Bad performance, try to eliminate the mistakes for future games and St Johnstone here we come. Being Motherwell, we have to expect some bad performances and this was one of them.
