Yep, I had forgot about those incidents. I recall now the commentators even wondering in disbelief why the ref did not give a PK..................Ok That's it, we are going to gub them now !!! COYW

I think we will take at least a point but going to predict us winning by one goal. Had a look back at the 0-4 report and our back 4 was Cummins Kerr, McManus and Angol so I am not even taking that result into account. The 3 -1 game at tannadice was more akin to the hibs game the other year when they gubbed us at fir park as everything went wrong for us. That last game at Utd Hutchy gifted the first goal then one of our defenders was mauled prior to the second goal. I think this game wil be more like the first 2-2 game but with the good guys coming out on top this time.

Unfortunately I think we need some additional help over and above the society.it owuld be good if that came from a local source such as the counclil or region but pretty sure that will not happen. Perhaps we need to court an individual willing to at least invest enough in the club to ease financial worries, we certainly don't want to fo down the route of trying to buy a team again. Alternatively, maybe we could ( or have to ) become a feeder team for a more financially well of club, be that in England or abroad. To be honest I don't know what we really have to do although I am sure if we could finally manage to progress in europe and maybe get to group stages the income from that would go a long way to helping. I don't think we need massive amounts of cash to ease the situation but I am not sure how long we can survive with our limited fan base.

That's a great deal!

MJC predicted a defeat so I'm feeling good about this game now
-
Agree! i think that is what makes it so hard to predict the outcome of each game. We could end up anwywhere between loosing out on europe to playing last game at Pittodrie with 2nd place already won

team selection should be interesting. I can't even guess who will start and how we will match up against them and what the tactics will be. Wil McCall pick the team and then decide what tactics best suit the team? Will he decide on tactics to nullify Utd then pick team to suit or go for tactics to atatck ethem and pick team to suit. Certainly a mind boggler for McCall so hopefully that means Utd wil not be prepared on how to face us? Ok I can pick 6 but who will the other 5 be? Neilsen Reid Hutch McManus Hammell Sutton

I don't care who gets ours, as long as we get at least one more than them
-
Play the best team we have now to do the job now
-
I'd say he is good enough to keep.
-
hard to say really, Celtic may have scored more if ainsworth had come on earlier but as it turned out, not bad day really!
-
I hear you! I have decided to bury my head in the sand, ignore all negativity and reality for the next 5 games and just be positive and look forward to each game being confident of getting a result. Then I have all summer to recover if it ends up we don't qualify for europe. First thing to look forward to though, is Aberdeen getting beat again on Friday night. That should help feed the self doubt and erode their confidence a bit more. once that starts happening McInnes wil lstart to tinker then they'll just go from bad to worse.

Well! Hello there Stuart!
-
Any news on who is available? regardless we will gub them!!! C'mon Ye 'Well

I am hoping we keep the core of this team and are able to strengthen it a bit with a couple of shrewd signings so that we can go into europe with some guys that actually know each other............Of course thats hoping that we get there. 5 long games to go !
-
well 4 out of five games, since they have way better goal difference, but even for them to win 4 out of five i think is beyond them
-
I think 6 points will be enough to get third place but would rather get second !
-
Depending on results last game of the season could quite possibly see us starting the game wondering if we will finish 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th I am hoping the last game is to determine 2nd or 3rd.
-
Agree with both of you. I think there are quite a few on here assuming that we are going to be dropping points all over the place and that Dundee Utd and Aberdeen are going to be racking them up. The way the teams are I think the last 5 rounds of games are very unpredictable. Who knows how celtic are going to see out the season and while I think that St Johnstone and Inverness are not going to finish in the top 4 they could play a significant part in deciding who finshes 2nd 3rd and 4th. The 2 week rest may possibly be a bigger benefit to us than other teams. But regardless, we are by no means out of the race for second and in a good position to finish 3rd. Could we hav ebeen better off? Of course we could but then again every other team could say the same.
-
going for 8 loss to Celtic, Draw Utd and aberdeen, beat St Johnstone and Caley I think if we can get 6 points in any form or fashion then we will finish 3rd. If we get 6 points........ St Johnstone can't catch us Caley would have to win all 5 games. I don't think that will happen. Dundee Utd. would have to get 12 points. I think, at best, they will get 11 points max Aberdeen will most likely finish second of we only get 6 points.
-
Plus if County can take a couple of points off Caley tonight then that should ensure us a top 4 finish as I don't see them winning all 5 games post split
-
Definately!!! I don't recall what the long ball was liike on the second goal but watching the first one was a joy to behold. You see him look up and then make a very deliberate weighted pass right into the stride of Anier. If gerrard or rooney had done something like that the commentators would have been creaming themselves.
-
looks like he is coming onto a game at a good time and starting to find the net. Will help his confidence a lot and hopefuly we will reap the rewads
-
Don't think there is too much to whine about with the fixtures. The results could go anyway on any given day so should make for an exciting climax to the season with the fight over 2nd, 3rd and 4th places. The remaining results pre split are huge and will go a long way to determining the final placings. If we can go into the split 9 points ahead of United then it will be very hard for them to catch us. Hopefully, goal difference does not come into play since Utd and Dons have a big advantage there. While it would be great to go to Pittodire and clinch second place the last day of the season, I am not sure that my heart could stand that !!! I'm all for wrapping it up sooner rather than later.

I think "re setting" the league is a great idea that gives other teams a chance of winning the league. Which is precidely why it will never happen. I don't see anything wrong with a 14 team league where you play everyone twice. then split into 2 parts and reset the points. So now 2 mini leagues of 7 play each other twice. everyone gets 38 games with 19 home and 19 away. Resetting gives everyone a new chance to win the league or avoid relegation. Depending on how the first phase is going it may give more latitude for the introduction of youngsters. Problems now are that the regualr fixture list is unbalanced and it's pot luck who you get to play twice at home and once away and of course, who knows what the hell you will get stuck with post split. Even if you did not reset the points I think the 14 team league splitting into 2x7 is more fair and easier to manage.
