Apparently our officials juat can’t grasp the whole VAR thing. I thought it hit his arm but couldn’t be 100% sure so goal should have stood. Likewise if ref had called handball on the field then that call should also have stood. do not overturn referee calls on the field unless you can 100% show that he was wrong.

Comments on the BBC live reporting would suggest we need to tighten up our defense a wee bit. Sounds like they have had a few opportunities but failed to score. Better teams will be converting these chances.

First time I’ve listened to him talk to the press. Obviously speaks for himself And his thoughts but very much in the same mold as JBA. So I think MFC has done a great job and that we have the “same but different” and look to be serious about sticking to our new footballing philosophy.

Should be interesting to see how it compares to the actual outcome. I’m a wee bit surprised to see 54% chance of us winning, based on reading that they haven’t lost a home euro game in 5 years but then, a lot of factors coukd be behind that and also behind victories against stronger teams. A team going there with a 3,4 or 5 goal lead are probably coasting thru the game and not playing a full strength team. So while you can run the numbers, there’s a lot of hidden factors. Hope your predictor is correct and we can get thru to the next round. Hopefully you’ll keep us updated on your progress throughout the season.
