  1. Important win for us in several respects, obviously 3 points but also morale boost for the players and fans alike. Additionally table looks better, psychologically a better feeling when seeing us further up even although points wise it’s all pretty even. I’m hoping individual performance levels revert back to normal for the next game amd we can perhaps get two wins in a row.
  2. What kind of dug meat? Winalot?
  3. I agree with Just header being offside. The other, I was positive the near side player had played Just onside. They flashed up an image but it was so quick I didn’t get to see it.
  4. Longello struggled from the start. Lack of energy and drive plus dreadful touch and control. Looked like he had flu or something. JT had one of his off days, which we know will happen. Said was poor after his great showing last week. Gordon was poor for him. Elliot and Fadinger were sluggish. so about 60% of our outfield players were as poor as I’ve seen them but yet we still managed to grind out a win, which is a big plus for this team. Thought O’Donnell was decent, Welsh and Ward were good and Just improved over last week. glad to see Slattery back and getting game time. Should have buried his chance though.
  5. I missed them throwing up the lines but real time, I thought near side player made him onside.
  6. I thought guy on near side played him on
  7. I was nervous there. Glad to see it go in.
  8. Very apt description of Longello in earlier post he seems to be struggling a bit today. JT not contributing at all. Silly penalty to give away. JBA needs to quickly figure out a way to make us more dangerous up front. I don’t think we have had a shot on target.
  9. Nice to see Slattery on the bench. I imagine RCC will feature at some point. Hopefully see more of Just in this game. Thought he was pretty quiet last week, which is understandable since he was out for a while but now has that game time under his belt ao hopefully a wee bit sharper.
  10. Obviously, I’m hoping we make it to the final but also hoping the blue uglies make it, so that Welsh can play in the final.
  11. Exactly!! Very similar to my view. He’s barely got his feet in the door and already has transformed us and done something that I don’t think I’ve seen in all my years supporting the ‘Well…. Increased the attendance at Fir park!!! Yes, we all want results but it’s early days and we need to have confidence that results will come. However, we need to realise that they might not come as quickly as we would like and may not come till after January or maybe next season. I think we have a much better chance of becoming a good team by supporting JBA and the players in what they are trying to do than reverting back to “normal” guid honest laddies approach which makes your eyes bleed. Fair enough to make comments and some criticism on forums but let’s keep it in perspective and let’s not get on their backs and start panicking, especially at the games. We know there will be ups and downs but I think the fans have to stay positive. I’m excited to see what JBA can achieve with us and have already enjoyed this season way more than any of the recent past ones.
  12. I’m not sure about “buy in”. I’d say buy in would mean having patience and belief in the new approach being the way forward if we want to have a better football team on the park along with the understanding that it may take time to yield results. Unfortunately, fans are not well renowned for patience and understanding. We may not be able to fix our issues till next season after the summer transfer window. I’ll be ok with finishing 10th and continuing to play the excellent stuff we have seen so far. Having said that I’m confident of us not being in a relegation dog fight come the end of the season. As JBA says, “it’s where you finish at the end of the season that defines your season”. It’s not where you are after first round of fixtures.
  13. Our football is a joy to watch and as good as any team in the league. If we can fix our issues or at least cut down the frequency of shooting ourselves in the foot we could do very well.
  14. I think I would also pair Gordon with Welsh. as an aside, Not sure what was going on against Falkirk but on Several occasions Welsh seemed to be well behind our other defenders.
  15. Is Slattery back for this? do we play him on the artificial turf? Does he start or Come on from the bench? if he starts who drops out. does cook start, to give us more attacking/scoring option? few more questions to be thinking about as well!! who’d be a manager ? So much to think about!
  16. I get the frustration and disappointment but I hope everyone can have some patience and maintain positive support for the manager and the team. I’m pretty sure the vast majority were confident of getting a win yesterday which makes it even harder to take. We are playing a style which has yielded some of the best football seen at Fir park in years and we are only 8 games into the season. Yes, there are issues but let’s not start getting on the backs of the manager and the team so soon. I’d much rather support continuing our current style as we try to fix the issues. Some fair comments regarding our issues but that should not be transferring into booing or getting on the players backs at the game. I’m hoping Slattery will help make a difference when he comes back in and i think i agree with earlier comment about going with Walsh/Gordon pairing. I also hope that we are looking for a Longello back up and another striking option we can get in January or are we planning on Suele(?) being that?
  17. Previous games we have slowed down a bit after 60 70 mins. I think today we can bring players off the bench and maintain our intensity.
