I think we are over compensating a bit after the first half debacle on Saturday. Trying to be patient and not overcommit on trying to increase our lead. Just went a wee bit too much the other way. Hopefully get the right balance in the secomd half and score a few to avoid sucker punch.

Hoping we don’t come crashing down but my expectations are running rampant when looking at our team and bench.

About 100 mins left to hang onto our players. then couple days fending off derisory bids from any Scottish teams.

On a brighter note, they have conceded 7 goals. Only Killie have conceded more. 13 Utd have scored same number as us but 4 of their 5 goals were against Killie.

I think he will start to score goals again once we have the team thru a few practice sessions with AJ. I also think Thor will nab us a few goals.

Hopefully some/outgoings loans to trim down the squad and reduce the wage bill. Having said that, I’m not sure what the ideal squad size should be. would be interesting to see what thoughts plans go into building a squad and I’m sure each manager has their own ideas.

Exactly! We are coasting and easily running the game…. Because players are focused and doing the right things. Guess what! Once you stop doing those things your’e not going to be coasting or running the game. So definitely a mental lapse (fatigue) more than physical. I think AJ has mentioned this previously about our attitude after scoring goals.

Seems like there were plenty people saying the player who encroached interfered with JT getting the rebound. I haven’t looked close enough to comment on that.

Another goal filled game? Hopefully with us scoring them all against Utd.

Good mention for Thor, he won numerous balls in the air. That will give us another option to play a different attacking style. hope we can keep JT in right frame of mind. I’m sure he’s a bit down after that PK. He was totally none existent for his time in the secomd half. Had he scored the PK that might have been him off on a good run but now we have to wait and see how he handles it.

Lowery for me. Put in a hard working shift off the ball and a lot of good stuff with the ball. Coukd be a key player for us

We saw a few of those players coming back today. So lots to look forward to. Feel sorry for SOD. That was a total mismatch today but he hung in there and done well after getting booked pretty quickly. Towards the end I’m not sure if our defenders learned from Freiburg or just couldn’t catch the St Mirren guy but well done om not pulling him down when he was thru and Paulsen saves it.

I wouldn’t describe it as a worrying performance. Things we need to work on for sure though.

I know they have the new rule about player goes off for a minute if they have treatment but I thought they still stayed on if yellow card was given to opponent who injured the player?? they got a yellow amd we had to play a man down for at least a minute. That makes no sense!!
