So he should be back soon then?
-
How long is Ox out for ? Seems to be hell of a long time for broken finger.
-
Are they holding him for ransom?
-
We have a squad capable of finishing in top 6 but unfortunately decimated by injuries and hampered by tactics. From a possible starting 11 (shown below) we have Ox, McGinn, Seddon and Stam out and Kaletta been carrying an injury while playing and now out. The sooner Ox gets back the better. I think McGinn replacement has to be Balmer. Sparrow can replace Kaletta or perhaps Seddon but midfield is where it might make or break us. The new manager will have to quickly work out the best formation and combination of players to make us harder to beat but create more chances and support for attack. Forwards we have plenty but which ones will work the best???? New guy Armstrong looks decent but we havenāt given him many chances to see if he can score regularly. Maswanhise is unpredictable but probably worth starting to see if itās a good day or bad day. No point on bringing him on as a sub to find out itās a bad day. if the new manager is worth his salt he should be able to take what we have and at least keep us up. Ox McGinn Gordon Casey Kaletta Nicholson Slattery Miller Seddon Maswanhise Stam

Casey should be starting. Has his flaws but for my money, is a starter in our team. I understand trying to keep discipline among the players but not at the expense of being relegated.

We could save time and money and just sack the new manager before we hire him š

About 63% possession but zero shots on target to Countyās 6 š”

You been hanging about with Grizzly?

Who is Evatt? I also donāt know Lowe but like others on here, looks a good choice based on reading about him.
-
Sorry, I didnāt read your post correctly. I thought you suggested playing him thru the middle but I see now that is not the case. I wasnāt being pedantic, I leave that up to weeyin š
-
Thought he was left wing back ?
-
Yes!
-
Although it does save me the cost of coming over to see Celtic beat us in the final.
-
That result just brightened up my day especially missing the āpenalty Rangersā at 90+5
-
And didnāt see Bair on the other team.
-
Didnāt we have a few games where we had 4 or 5 in the starting line ? inthink it was last year or year before there was an article about players coming thru academies and Motherwell was far ahead of other teams
-
I think one of the main factors should be that the new manager has shown an attacking approach to the game with teams they have previously managed and that his previous teams demonstrated the ability to play as a team and not as individual disconnected units. It seems like managers are so afraid to get beat nowadays that their approach is dominated by being defensive, which in a lot of cases leads to defeats so almost like a self fulfilling prophecy. Whereas, if you can put a half decent attacking team on the field you are probably giving yourself a better chance of winning and certainly making a much more enjoyable experience for the fans. I know, perhaps a bit oversimplified but from what Iāve seen in our league, I believe it wouldn't take too much to build a team that could stand out above the majority of the teams.

It also helps keep the Ayr supporters happy. Even if he was not being considered there was enough crap in the newspapers to where Ayr supporters would be concerned but fair doās to Brown for killing any speculation early on instead of leaving Ayr fans wondering. Of course there was the other Brown a while back who was going nowhere but just having a wee chat š³

I notice nobody has mentioned Neil Warnock. ššš well done everybodyšš

So did Ian Clinging and he wasnāt half bad

Unfortunately the political will over here is practically encouraging it. All aboard the trump train to travel back in time. š”

Oh I totally agree. I wasnāt slagging the defenders. Our first line is the forwards to try and slow the opposition down while we organize defensive set up. Then if we decide to let them have space up ton30āyds from our goal then midfielders are the next line
-
If we donāt task him with chasing a lost cause among multiple defenders and long hopeful balls from his defenders Iām pretty sure heād last 90 mins or at least a lot closer to it

Ok! Back to the football. As someone mentioned we really need to pick up at least 6 out of the next 9 points so it would be good to have the new guy in place and at least have a few days for him to work with the players if possible. Even with our depleted squad we are still capable of making top 6. If we have the new guy (with new attitude/approach/tactics) in place AND some players back we should be able to have a good run in to the split. COYW !!!
