Another good result for us today. Keep it together the next two games and we might be able to secure our safety prior to the split.

My concern was not with goal scoring opportunity but was with the way he “tackled” him studs up, right into his leg.

Kettlewell definitely getting more out of Goss, Spittal and KVV

I think that was it but should have been reviewing to see if it was a red for Marshall.

I’m normally on here all thru the game but have visitors over and so was watching at my son’s house. Great having others there in person so I didn’t have to type stuff !! And also much better when there’s multiple folks jumping out of their chair and yelling when we score. Although i only jumped out of my chair twice, as I had already began dropping my head in disbelief as I thought Marshall had saved the pk.

Terrific well deserved 3 points. Was a bit skeptical beforehand with our poor record there but great result. Still plenty room for improvement, had few chance to play in players on goal but not quick enough and our crosses into their box were very poor. On the plus side I thought Cornelius had one of his best games in a Well shirt. Aside from the goal defense looked pretty solid. We played some good stuff and thought we showed a lot more composure on the ball than we have all season. No shock but when your midfield all play well, the result is a much better team performance and always nice to see a good performance AND a good result which is what many people have been crying out for. COYW!!!

All very quiet. Hopefully the break has given Kettlewell some time to have the players work on how he wants the team to play. While they could all do with improving their skills their bigger issues are tactical awareness and decision making. Him and the players have made good inroads to increasing the intensity and work rate so keep that up and improve other areas and we have a chance to relax a bit after the split. Easier said than done, I know.

I also add I think he is being told to punt it long and wide. We had several free kicks with players doing the same thing. We do the same thing at kick off. I also notice other teams doing the same thing. Must be the latest fad after such raging successes as no players on the post at corners, no one left up the park when defending corners and of course (my all time favorite) teaching goalies not to catch the ball.

I don’t see our rivals really closing the gap very much. Our biggest game is v United. if we can take those 3 points we will go into post split in a very strong position.

I think because for some reason they are not supposed to get involved unless it’s to suggest it’s a red or to downgrade a red. Yellow or not decision is not within their scope apparently.

We made one mistake in first half that cost us. Second half I was surprised to see us make it 2-2. A bit unlucky to see VAR not call back third goal but by that time I think we were already starting to allow them more chances but behind us now so let’s see what we can do the rest of the game leading up to the break

Glad to get that one out of the way. Probably would not have made any difference but once again we had Slattery, Goss and Spittal in the starting line up. That should never happen. While Slattery can feel unlucky to get a second yellow he needs to change his attitude and just fkn focus on playing football. Not even sure why he was waving his arm around he had the ball and should have been away with it moving forward. At least we will be forced not to start all 3 for a few games

Decent defensive performance I thought. Agree with second statement. 1 mistake cost us the goal. But need to do more with the ball or at least make the long balls to where we have a 50/50 or better chance to get them
