Are all our players (fit to play) available for the HJK game? If We get thru it would be good to have another couple able bodied players available for the play off round.

Having watched the goal (again today 😀) it’s very impressive the effort that went into the goal. Three newbies involved, but that was some supporting run from Williams, especially being at 85 mins. He was in defensive covering position when Whyte won the ball and did you see who was up close to Said when scored? Cap’n Tom Sparrow. ( ok! How many of you done the Pirate voice in your head when you read that? ) 😂

I’m hoping we well and truly scud them but I’ll be happy with even the narrowest of wins. I’m really hoping we can kill the game early and give the likes of Oscar and Faddy a bit of a break.

I assume that will be available here in the USA as well since I watched the first leg against HB using solidsport. Was easy purchase and decent stream quality

Playing games might be the best “training”’they can get at this time of season

Are we going to be brave and play our normal game to try and win or are we going to be more cautious to get them back to Fir Park? I wonder if our approach will be more about trying to “preserve” the squad rather than winning away from home or will we play our best 11 every game and deal with injuries/tiredness/suspensions as they affect us? While playing 2 games a week can be hard work, it’s also great for getting the players match sharpness up a few levels. I think the players can handle the schedule with rest and recovery as long as we can avoid injuries.

I’ve never seen us play in European competition, home or away but have seen us in 3 cup finals. (4 if you count the summer Cup 😂) Need us to get past HJK and Freiburg and then I’d be able to jump over and catch a game in the league stages.

Not saying HJK are easy or that we will beat them but I don’t think we should be afraid of them. Had a look at Finnish league and I don’t really know any of the teams. I see Aberdeen drew their two games with them a few years ago. In the conference league they have played 28 games, lost 15, drawn 6 and won 7

He was also left alone to deal with Hibs player in his face, obstructing him, prior to corner kicks. So good to acknowledge some things he can do better but his performance overall was excellent with a few really good saves.

If you want some “glory” nights you got to play the good teams.

I really hope we don’t loose any more players this window

It’s a joy watching that goal back a few times. As the commentators mentioned. several times, “Magnificent Football”!

Considering where we are in preparation for this season, getting 3 points today is a tremendous job.

Similar to last season, trying to maintain possession but a bit more willing to play longer ball now and again. I think we had a good balance between long balls and keeping possession. we should be looking forward to another season of being entertained by MFC. our second goal Was superb.

Well that was much better than I was anticipating. First half we strolled it. Second half we were fine till we made that mistake amd Hibs got fired up after that. We were under the cosh as we tired drastically but what character to pull out a secomd goal that was superb football. Then hang in there with some grit and determination. Well done Alfred amd the team.

Maybe take Vogts off, push Said wide right and JT thru the middle?

Pretty toothless up front but continuing on from last season with our composure on the ball. I’d expect Hibs to put a lot more energy into the game secomd half and pressure us a lot more. With a couple or so more to come in the door I think we should do fine this season.

Always disappointed if we get beat but the main thing for me will be to see how we play. hoping our team will be stronger and better by the close of the window. From what I’ve seen this weekend and making snap under-informed judgements I think we should be good enough to finish above the following St Mirren, Falkirk, Killie, St Johnstone, Dundee im assuming the ugly sisters will perform better than last season but maybe not? That leaves us battling with Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen, Dundee Utd for places 3 thru 7 Today will give us an idea how we compare, keeping in mind that I’d expect us to improve with signings and for our general play to improve as season goes on today 2-2
