  1. What’s the deal with Suele? Is he going to come back or has injury ruled him Out for the season?
  2. Just’s header was offside which could be seen right away and the highlights showed the lines for the other occasion when Just broke thru and laid it up for AP. So to my points, header spotted easily, VAR used to give offside. Other occasion, very tight, even with lines, on field decision should stand (can’t recall if they awarded goal or flagged it) and no VAR intervention.
  3. Not sure Hearts would want to loan him out or if he would want to come. If they are serious about winning the league they need a decent squad not just a starting 11.
  4. I think VAR has a place but apparently the clear and obvious criteria is being ignored. You should be able to instantly (few seconds) say ref was wrong, otherwise no intervention. None of this drawing lines or come have a look at this. there are occasions where officials do miss the obvious and it would be nice to eliminate those instances.
  5. You’re right, all if’s and but’s, however it does show that every week is a winnable game. If we cut out drastic mistakes we can go on a good run. we talk about lack of scoring but only three teams have scored more, Hearts, Hibs and Dundee Utd but of course, scoring more goals will help.
  6. I hope they have Said doing extra practise on finishing. If he can retain a wee bit composure close to goal he could be worth a good few goals. I love watching Said and Just on the ball. Their foot skills are terrific
  7. Not sure how Walsh missed our PK. Maybe it was so obvious and stupid he thought surely the defender didnt do that. So at least VAR worked for that.
  8. Important win for us in several respects, obviously 3 points but also morale boost for the players and fans alike. Additionally table looks better, psychologically a better feeling when seeing us further up even although points wise it’s all pretty even. I’m hoping individual performance levels revert back to normal for the next game amd we can perhaps get two wins in a row.
  9. What kind of dug meat? Winalot?
  10. I agree with Just header being offside. The other, I was positive the near side player had played Just onside. They flashed up an image but it was so quick I didn’t get to see it.
  11. Longello struggled from the start. Lack of energy and drive plus dreadful touch and control. Looked like he had flu or something. JT had one of his off days, which we know will happen. Said was poor after his great showing last week. Gordon was poor for him. Elliot and Fadinger were sluggish. so about 60% of our outfield players were as poor as I’ve seen them but yet we still managed to grind out a win, which is a big plus for this team. Thought O’Donnell was decent, Welsh and Ward were good and Just improved over last week. glad to see Slattery back and getting game time. Should have buried his chance though.
  12. I missed them throwing up the lines but real time, I thought near side player made him onside.
  13. I thought guy on near side played him on
  14. I was nervous there. Glad to see it go in.
  15. Very apt description of Longello in earlier post he seems to be struggling a bit today. JT not contributing at all. Silly penalty to give away. JBA needs to quickly figure out a way to make us more dangerous up front. I don’t think we have had a shot on target.
  16. Nice to see Slattery on the bench. I imagine RCC will feature at some point. Hopefully see more of Just in this game. Thought he was pretty quiet last week, which is understandable since he was out for a while but now has that game time under his belt ao hopefully a wee bit sharper.
  17. Obviously, I’m hoping we make it to the final but also hoping the blue uglies make it, so that Welsh can play in the final.
  18. Exactly!! Very similar to my view. He’s barely got his feet in the door and already has transformed us and done something that I don’t think I’ve seen in all my years supporting the ā€˜Well…. Increased the attendance at Fir park!!! Yes, we all want results but it’s early days and we need to have confidence that results will come. However, we need to realise that they might not come as quickly as we would like and may not come till after January or maybe next season. I think we have a much better chance of becoming a good team by supporting JBA and the players in what they are trying to do than reverting back to ā€œnormalā€ guid honest laddies approach which makes your eyes bleed. Fair enough to make comments and some criticism on forums but let’s keep it in perspective and let’s not get on their backs and start panicking, especially at the games. We know there will be ups and downs but I think the fans have to stay positive. I’m excited to see what JBA can achieve with us and have already enjoyed this season way more than any of the recent past ones.
  19. I’m not sure about ā€œbuy inā€. I’d say buy in would mean having patience and belief in the new approach being the way forward if we want to have a better football team on the park along with the understanding that it may take time to yield results. Unfortunately, fans are not well renowned for patience and understanding. We may not be able to fix our issues till next season after the summer transfer window. I’ll be ok with finishing 10th and continuing to play the excellent stuff we have seen so far. Having said that I’m confident of us not being in a relegation dog fight come the end of the season. As JBA says, ā€œit’s where you finish at the end of the season that defines your seasonā€. It’s not where you are after first round of fixtures.
