Where's he gonna play though? Do we really need another striker? If he can fill a left sided or and advanced centre mid position he's a good singing
-
Absolutely spot on- look where it got us last time.
-
I would guess its a sarcastic dig at all those that moaning and whined over the £5 increase when they would spend it on something else anyway - all those folk making out like £5 was the difference between not eating for a week or going to the football...
-
Anyone still moaning about the price increase by the way?
-
Craig Brown or the management team would really do well to pass on some of this stuff to the players, show them it's not all negativity doom and gloom like they often get.

BBC are reporting its at 7.30 KO tomorrow, whereas I thought it was 7.45?! Tried to check the official but it doesnt seem to be working for me...anyone clear it up?

Shame Jakob, I wanted you lot to see us scoring the only goal of the game in the 90th minute, the radio will have to do then!

Colour is all part of the football. Look at the Dutch national team supporters for example, try telling them they look stupid. When you get a stadium or a section full of colour via shirts, scarves, flags etc that adds to the experience and gives the team and supporters identity.

Exactly, I don't get the Sutton on the wing at all. He has no pace or no tricks, and not much of a left foot. He's much more suited to the role he's good at, which is up top winning flick ons and making a nuisance of himself, scoring strikers goals! I would use Fitzpatrick also. Especially as I had a dream that he scored the winner in extra time, a la Easter Road CIS Semis 2005 v Hearts! Mind you we were in New York, turning Times Square claret and amber, so I'm not sure how valid that would be! I also agree with what Jay says about atmosphere, we need to make it as hostile as possible for them and as supportive as possible for our players. Anyway, I'm absolutely champing!

...with Levein's team...

Someone tell the Beeb its Humphrey not Humphries! Someone tell half this board too while we're at it!

Tunnell square-up, smash him randolph!

Seems to be all Killie from the commentary...

Not speaking a word of Danish, I get the impression that they're not happy the free kick was retaken... Where are the Odense punters when you need them, not one has posted since the game!
-
Ah I guess its all legalities, cloaks and daggers etc? Is it a popular Motherwell hostelry in the vicinity of Fir Park?!

Humphrey was very frustrating tonight and there just wasn't enough end product from him. I'm a fan of his though and I agree he'll be important this season for us. Not the MotM tonight though. I went Reynolds at a complete lack of a stand out for me, but seriously considered giving it the null vote. Gonna have to be better next week.

I cannae be bothered looking back through all the pages to see if anyone has said this before but I'll give my opinion. After the euphoria of keeping the tie open and scoring, it felt like we won. But having settled down and looking at the game as objectively as possible, I didn't think we were as good as people are making out, and were lucky that they weren't as good as we thought. First, the good part - we probably dominated for the first half hour. The bad bits - Roy Carroll was not tested the whole game. Not once. They must have had Saunders marked out as a weak point cos they were throwing long balls down his channel all game - he dealt OK withthem mainly but looked shaky on occasion. Craigan was completely pedestrian for their second goal, and defensively we weren't great. We lacked invention and cutting edge going forward and Humphrey was our only creative outlet, to the point where we had Hammell playing cross diagonals to him on the right wing. It was predictable and Odense had it sussed. When he beat his man, bar one or two crosses, his crossing was poor. Djemba Djemba bossed the midfield, and Jennings was probably two yellows for high feet I think, and was sliding in a lot so was asking for it from the ref. We gave the ball away cheaply a lot in defence and midfield. The penalty claims - the handball was a penalty cos his arm was raised above his head, but I think I would have felt hard done by if the Murphy one was given against us. I know I'll likely be shot down but we weren't that good tonight, but we were lucky that Odense weren't up to much either. We really need another few signings - a left sided midfielder is the priority for me. Hopefully we can turn it round at Fir Park and blow them away with good backing next Thursday! Also - what is all this 'The Pub' chat?
-
I wasn't at the game, and it was actually Tuesday night, I got mixed up! There's chat in the Esteban thread about it...

Don't think he's in the European squad, and played a bounce game against Albion rovers tonight...?

I was up at half 3 today, walked straight in with no queue, the girl said 4000 odd have sold but they're expecting a rush on Friday after tomorrow's game.

He was at the forefront of the media outrage at our so called 'racist chanting' the other season, against possibly Gomis and Buaben of Dundee Utd, I cant remember, when there was a massive discussion on here as to not one single person heard anything on that day. I actually took the liberty of writing to him to express my disgust at his mis-information, which Ive never ever done in my life before and haven't since, and got a very very arsey reply. Bawbag as far as I'm concerned.

Exactly to all. Sense shines through eventually - stop fuckin moaning about anything and everything. Craig Brown said in his radio interview that the fans were fantastic with the team yesterday and he wanted to win it for us. I suggest he reads on here, and sits in the main stand, and goes and joins the wallopers in the ticket queues at 10.30am, to see that a lot of the supprt the support are greetin faced arseholes. Maybe he already knows this and he just does his polite act. Accept that we aren't worldbeaters, accept that none of our players are worldbeaters, and just enjoy watching what I thought result aside, was a decent game of football yesterday.

Good one, how I laughed. Seen as you clearly stand about Fir Park, pocket watch in hand and notebook at the ready to record MFC employees whereabouts at given times, I'll leave you to it. But let me know who turns up first to training tomorrow will you, so I can get down to Will Hill and stick a tenner on them first scorer for Thursday...
