I'm thinking of booking the Novotel. Just checking it out now.
-
I think there's a problem with the club's servers or something cos I emailed Diane today and I've just received an undelivered message.
-
I'm on the charter on my own too. Usually go to the games with my dad, but he can't make this one unfortunately due to health reasons. Mwellhighland and co, maybe meet up for a beer or two?
-
The St Johnstone game is the 15th of August, mate.
-
I'm very interested in this. I just go to the games with my dad and made my own way with him to Nancy last year rather than the charter. He doesn't think he'll be going to Bucharest though and I quite fancy it, so I think the charter may be the way to go for me this time.

Ha ha! He'll have to work on his celebrations I think, cos it certainly didn't match the goal!!! Well played tonight, lads. Superb performance!
-
I think he's a bit of a bombscare, but are you serious? How many shots can you remember Llanelli having at our goal in the previous 2 games that Fraser had to deal with? There was the one from Mumford's free-kick in the 2nd leg, and I'm struggling to think of others aside from their goal...

YALDY!

I'm just in from work... Not got anything either just blank with the ATDHE.NET thing in the bottom corner.

If the club are sticking with the Canterbury kits, I assume they already have the away kit. If Canterbury are no longer honouring contracts, I presume the away kit won't be available to the fans to buy? (Unless they've already been made?) When you consider we've had kits made by smallish companies like Xara and Bukta, it's somewhat ironic that the club trumpeted this as being out biggest ever kit deal with a big brand, only for Canterbury to go into administration. Shame. A bigger shame for the folk that have lost their jobs of course. EDIT: I suppose it all hinges on whether a buyer is found. But with so many companies struggling in today's financial climate, I don't think it looks too good.

That's a cracking read! It's a shame you missed the march, but I'm glad you had such a great time and we're your new favourite team. I reckon I'll have a read at some of your other reports. Any ones you'd recommend?

Good pics, and I'm in a couple with my dad. Is it alright if I take copies of those 2 for my facebook?

They always find a way unfortunately!!!

I don't know what to say right now really. At least Gannon will know the urgency he faces to bring in a lot of new players. No blame can be laid at the door of any of the young lads that played tonight. Young Slane looked great when he came on, so well done. I don't know what to say about the rest of them tough. We've all seen bigger and better teams than Motherwell get beat off a poorer team that score with their only chance and then completely shut up shop. That's basically what happened tonight. Gannon seemed to always have the team passing the ball along the deck. No hoofing it up the park or anything. I suppose that's encouraging... if he can bring in better players to make it work. Other than that... I'm struggling to think of a worse Motherwell result. The sad thing is that I don't feel that angry about it just now, just disappointed and embarassed. The whole thing for me seemed to have an air of inevitability about it - we'd get beat. When they got that dodgy throw in and then the corner from it, I pretty much knew they'd score. They did, and that was that, cos I felt we wouldn't score and didn't expect us to. And that was after me commenting a goal for us was just a matter of time after about 15 mins of the first half. I found it hard to get into the game in the second half or care that much I'm ashamed to say. I tell you what though, I'm absolutely dreading work tomorrow. So cheers for that, Motherwell. On a more positive note, it'll make the game next week interesting, which some people thought it wouldn't be!!!

You're living the dream, mate! That is genius! A much better nickname than "Coach". Why was this not brought to our attention sooner? By the way... £750k for The Coltness Cafu? You cannot be serious?

This has happened to mine. Just washed it for the first time and the top part of the square round the first 'X' in 'JAXX' is peeling away. Bit more difficult for me to pop into the shop as I live in Glasgow, but I'll hopefully be out on Saturday to get a ticket for the Llalnelli away match so can do it then.

Nice one! Sounds like he could be a great signing!!!
-
That's a good interview with him on the official site. I'm pretty pleased with the appointment. Welcome aboard, Jimbo!
-
Gutted Clarky's away! He really was one of our own. Thanks for the goals, memories and your constant hard graft for the cause, Clarky. Aw the best!!!

That's exactly what I think too. Fair enough the hoop being like that, that's the way it should be, but the claret lines and white lines should have been piping or whatever it's called. Definitely got the holiday fake look about it which is a bit of a let down to be honest cos it looks cheap. Still, we've got the hoop back, so that's something!
-
I saw this in the paper today too. I'd be absolutely gutted if Clarky left.

I agree with Stuart here. I really don't see why so many folk are clamouring for Nijholt as manager. As far as I'm aware he's had zero experience of being an actual manager. An assistant manager, yes, but nothing more. There's loads of guys out there that were great assistant managers, but when they took on a manager's job they were honking. Is Nijholt a popular choice purely because he was a great player for us, and because he's dutch folk think he'll automatically be a great manager? Great players don't automatically make great managers, even if they have history with a club. Perversely I'd be really interested to see what the folk shouting for Nijholt's appointment would be saying if he got the job and we ended up getting relegated or were at least embroilled in a relegation battle. They certainly wouldn't be able to criticise John Boyle or the club for appointing what would essentially be a rookie manager. And they could hardly start abusing Nijholt. Don't get me wrong, if Luc got the job I wouldn't be dead against it and obviously I'd be really hoping he'd do well, but I'd rather we got someone in that has a few years management experience.

Well the 3 dots are as much are part of the Canterbury jerseys as the kiwi logo it seems, so they'd have been added no matter what. The Pompey shirt also has a stripe design on the back, the Motherwell one doesn't (well I don't think it does, not really seen the back), so there's another difference. Certainly a couple of things are the same, the piping at the join of the arm and body, and the collar. It's certainly not the Pompey template though as there are more differences than similarities.
-
I saw a comment from Dave somewhere, possibly on FootballShirtCulture, that no CCC designers were used for our kit. Obviously the kiwi badges then get stuck onto the design as standard for the Canterbury kits. The hoop aside, there are differences between our shirt and Pompey's.

Silky Bob certainly scored some varied goals for us - some lovely free kicks and one with his boaby! I certainly wasn't too chuffed when we signed him because of his past, but he sort of became a bit of a cult hero for me, partly cos he didn't take any shit, some folk were dying to get on his back for the least wee mistake because of who he was so that put me very much on his side, and also I knew he had a bit of ability with the free kicks etc. Good to see 'Flow's post about him being a really decent guy. Anyway... Good luck, Silky Bob!!!
