I find that quite an astonishing thing to say. Hateley was not shite. The amount of appearances he accumulated under various managers is surely testament to that. Agree with this. I've read this billy big baws stuff about Hateley and seen no evidence of it. It's as if someone once said it and it grew arms & legs amongst a section of our support.

I also remember them incorporating a Nazi/Saturday Service style S from 'SS' into one of their banners. So they do like to at least emulate casuals. Don't like to see Nazi style logos associated with the club either. Smoke bombs which are banned, throwing a smoke bomb on to the playing surface, breaking seats. Think most people would say that's crossing the line. The authorities see it that way and it damages the club the Well Bois profess to love. No more of it, please. By all means carry on with the dancing, drum and chanting as that does bring positives.

I must say, whenever I see them most are dressed like casuals (gear they've got on, no Motherwell colours). That in itself probably attracts attention from certain people or authorities. I've also never chosen to miss a home game that I could make and I've had a season ticket since the late 80s I reckon. Usually go with my dad, but he can't make it seeing as how they changed it to a Friday night and he's got other plans. We've got season tickets and I was going to take along a mate who's neutral, but I really don't know if I can be bothered with it. Plus it's my birthday and a cold December night watching us try to contain Celtic isn't high on my birthday wishlist. Prospect of sitting in a warm pub with a pint and a couple of mates is far more appealing just now. And if we're getting pumped, I can just ignore the TV or go elsewhere. After Saturday and this whole Friday night thing inconveniencing fans meaning some can't go, I really don't see why I should make the extra effort to go. Don't think I've ever bought a ticket for a gig and the date's been changed a month beforehand. Football shouldn't be any different as they're also in the entertainment business. Sure this time it's been done for TV, but it's happened before just for the sake of it.

Oh aye, and great result. We really need to start taking chances to kill teams off but. Thought Lee Hollis had a good game. Didn't have much to do, but what he had to do, he done well.

Quite a lot of them wear casual clobber and don't seem to have any Motherwell colours. Might be unfair profiling, but if you're a big group dressed like that, the police are going to take notice of you. Just leave the smoke bombs at home and don't give the authorities an excuse.

I'd take Hateley back no problem. Get him back, move Ramsden to centre back, punt Hutchinson for a nice fee and use some of the money to recruit a winger or two. Bish, bash, bosh. Nae bother.

I agree with that. Really came on with us and turned into a tricky winger. I really enjoyed watching him play.
