Having watched mchugh closely this season I’m of the opinion he’s not a midfielder but a centre half which I believe is position he played until Derek Adams decided he was a midfield player. His peripheral vision /awareness is poor for a midfielder and and his passing is poor .When he’s facing the play he looks much better and wins a lot of headers and tackles . So on that basis I see him as a centre half . Big question is does the manager !!!!.

Yeah it’s possible . He’s not been playing and needs games plus wee Northern Ireland connection with Robinson . Possibly be good place to resurrect his career . We need pace in the team particularly down the left hand side so would be a good fit

Last time we won the cup we won our last home league game three nil . Think the team pretty much picks itself . Only change from semi final will be mchugh in for the injured rose . Pretty ok with that as there’s loads of energy in that starting eleven . Bench could be stronger but it is what it is . Roll on Saturday . Let’s get it on and bring that cup home

What’s with the inferior patter. Depends on your definition of day tripper. I’ll take every Well fan who loves the club to be there on cup final day. So called Well fans with allegiances elsewhere and actually no interest other than a day out (day trippers)and never any intention of returning to a Well game then not for me . At 2011 cup final spotted a few of them . The semi final against St Johnstone had a better atmosphere among Well fans than final did and stadium was no where near as full There are plenty of Well fans who have fell away for many different reasons and staying away becomes a habit . Let’s get them back over any day trippers (as per my definition).

Well done Alan . Biggest issue at last cup final was Celtic fans above us . Sorted . Also makes sense to sell a block at a time to prevent it looking sparse .Sorted . Two sections pending depending if we sell out initial allocation but if we do then these sections are ours as well . Sorted . Only thing he can’t sort is getting fans off there backsides and off to the final . That’s down to us . The much maligned Andy Rose did well to get his header back into the area for the goal and McHugh did a great job taking out Berra. We are a handful at set pieces . Most teams know that but still struggle to defend against it . Been saying since the McCall days we were neither fit enough strong enough or big enough . McGhee also never addressed it . Robinson has though thats for sure . Dont see this team getting bullied at places like tynecasle as we did in previous years . And a mention to our goalkeeper . Superb again yesterday . Class act . Dont get all this panic about team picked by manager . You dont change a defence which has not conceded in two games unless you want to cause problems in the dressing room . With Hartley on the bench breathing down the necks of the back three thats exactly what we need . Poor game then you dont play next week and Hartley plays . Thats how it should work so no probs with that . If I was tanner Id be a bit pissed off but get why Robinson has played this team . Any team Levein picks is robust to say the least so we need to match it . Also park not suited for ball players . Heavy and rutted. Horses for courses . Still playing with two strikers so overall Im ok .

Yeah best Ive ever seen it in January . Granted not a lot of games played on it to cut it up but looked terrific even after the game was played yesterday . Well done to everyone on the grounstaff . According to Alan Burrows tweet a few days back were not actively seeking to ship anybody out . More likely to get a few more in . That might include Hartley and the Indian u17 goalie though . Just need to wait and see . Think players had a week off and restart on Monday

Not for me . Watched him play on Friday night . Looked heavy lacked pace . Was miles off it . Need a target man . Somebody who can hold the ball up and be good in the air . All bowman does is run down the channels . Need someone who gets in the box . Also need someone who scores tap ins from knockdowns . So two completely different strikers required . Thats the easy bit . Hard bit is first finding them and second convincing them its a good move . Robinson got his work cut out on this one !!!!!. This next moth will make him or break him. For what its worth Moore and mackin would have scored more than bowman and fisher imo

Could be wrong but are strikers who are available in jan window usually either not getting a game with there clubs or not rated . Not holding my breath that the new strikers coming in are going to be our saviours. Be nice to know what level there playing at . Thats if there playing !!!!.
