  1. I not sure which orange shot is, but we do have one here in Denmark called "Fisk" meaning fish. It's deadly, 'cause you can just keeping drinking 'em, without noticing you're getting drunk. I also saw some of you lads trying our "Gammel Danish", a special kind of shots, that's very famous. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gammel_Dansk
  2. Jim's saying, that the Danish fans are good at partying, but when it comes to football (hence drinking) we're nothing compared to the Scots.
  3. I'm not more worried than if I go out on a Saturday night here in Denmark :-). Especially after speaking with about a dozen of you guys yesterday. The only thing I'm afraid of is whether or not I can keep up with your pace of drinking pints. But we'll see about that
  4. I'm sorry your night ended with such an bad experience. Depending on the bar (I'm guessing you were at Australian Bar?!), the bouncer in Denmark are usually allways up for it. They just wait for one guy to make a small mistake or say just one bad word, and all hell breaks lose. Don't ever be afraid to wear your colours in Denmark, if you ever come to visit us again.
  5. If we had brought 6-700 drunken Danes anywhere in Europe, there would have been a small brawl aswell. I'm not that worried about going to the game in Motherwell, eventhough there was that small fight outside Ryan's a few hours before the game. So a few guys traded some punches? Who gives a rats ass, excuse my language! As far as I've heard, there weren't any trouble after the game. The few hours I got to enjoy at Ryan's after the game was just as great as before the match. I can't wait to go to Motherwell next week and meet all the guys, I met last night. David, Dino, Fraser, Mark and all the rest I can't remember 'cause of the beers . Hope you all had a good time in Denmark, and that you had a nice trip home.
  6. If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's a good one ... eehm, I've heard!! (http://www.odensemodellerne.dk/index.php?o...2&Itemid=35)
  7. Just spoke to my Danish friend inside Ryan's. I couldn't hear a word over the about 100 singing Well-fans in the background. Can't wait to get in the pub tomorrow and have a song and beer or two (hopefully more!) with them .
  8. If you mean the turistattraction, HCA's house, then yes that's a no go. It's a cultural place, like a museum. Might I add, it's been years since my last (and only) visit, but I don't think the rules have changed much on that topic. If you mean the hotel, then there shouldn't be any problem. It's a hotel like so many others, and if they think that you guys won't be drinking in the hotel, then they're in for a treat :-).
  9. I don't think I'm that scottish, eventhough I'm often mistaken for one. Why - I have no idea. Might be 'cause of my drinkinghabbits . Why do you think, we are looking forward to having you guys over for a few nights of drinking ?
  10. Unless you throw the cans/bottles in the face of an officer, then there's no problem. As someone on this forum wrote earlier, Ryan's has a square in front of the pub, where you can sit and drink. The law says, that you're not allowed to drink in public, but we really have to be a pain to be nicked for that. As long as you keep you head straight, there'll be no problem.
  11. Almost every shop in Denmark sells alcohol. If you've got a hotel room for Wednesday night, go to the local shop and bye a couple of six-packs.
  12. Hi SuperCC, Fortunately, Copenhagen is a much more lively place than Odense. If you get of at Copenhagen Central Station, there'e a sportsbar right in there called O'Leary. The prices aren't to cheap, but it's a quite good place to have a few cold ones after a long travel. Or you can go to a place called Rosie McGee's (http://www.rosiemcgee.dk/), about 10 minutes from the Central Station. The weather doesn't look that good Wednesday night, but if you're more than two on the trip, just jump in a cab and ask to go to Rosie's. It won't take more than a couple of minutes and cost a maximum of 100 kroner = £11 (if the cabbie is really filthy). But I think the best place for you guys is The Scottish Pub (http://www.aok.dk/natteliv/scottish-pub) at the main square in center of town, also about 10 minutes from the Central Station, just a couple of minutes walk from Rosie's. I've only been there a few times, and I've been absolutely smashed everytime, so I can't say that much about it. But I remember wanting to go there again. If you need more than that, please don't hesitate to ask. Cheers.
  13. Not usually. But hey, which girl wouldn't should their good stuff for a true Steelman . On the bright side, all the girls working are walking around in uniforms like the ones you see from the Alpes, and places like that. ( http://dkbn.dk/ui/forms/externals/discoexp...ctureid=6778031 )
  14. Greetings all Steelmen, Another Odense-fan here, just wanted to wish you all a nice trip to Denmark. As I read this long travel thread I saw, that some of you guys will be staying in Copenhagen Wednesday night and then travel to Odense early in the morning come Thursday. As I now live in Copenhagen I'll be on a train Thursday morning heading to Odense. If any of you guys wishes to meet up and go on the train together, please let me know. Either in this thread or in a PM. I'll also be going to the return match. Besides from that, for the fans arriving in Odense on Thusday and Wednesday. The best place I can recommend is Ryan's, which a lot of you have allready read and heard about. I know the owner, Jim, and he's a good lad, so is the staff, which is partly British, partly Eastern Europeen, for some reason. Otherwise, you should check out a place called Heidi's Bier Bar (the name says it all). It's about a 10 minute walk away from Ryan's but still in the center of town. Good beer, and plenty of them. I look forward to meeting up with you guys at Ryan's. Cheers.
