  1. Contact Hibs directly - they might be able to offer disabled/nearby parking for access.
  2. I think it helps us in either situation. It gives the team some time to rest, train up on the areas that Robinson thinks we're lacking in (footballing style as mentioned above) and maybe get a couple of bounce games in. It'll also give any potential new signings time to bed in after the deadline has passed, as I'm sure we'll be looking at one/two (or maybe three if Louis moves on) new bodies coming in. As others have said, I really like the way Robinson is setting us up to play - physical and competitive, with good passing and movement going forward. Seems like a level above McGhee and you can really see the benefit of him coming in when he did, his previous relationship with the majority of the players and a full pre-season to bed in his style. The break can only help cement that more and I fully expect us to continue our form in a fortnight.
  3. Where's the fun in that? Watch it blind and imagine the feels.
  4. Yeah I agree. The longer this drags on the worse it gets for us, definitely. You have to hope that it might be a purchase rather than a free agent signing.
  5. I think Robinson and Craigan have been clear in the press that if he moves on we have options for a replacement lined up.
  6. Kipre, just because. Cadden will win and I think he needs recognition for his heading alone.
  7. His run from the right beforehand took him so far offside he'd basically given up, then McHugh's shot came in and the rest is history, hah. Also, how good is it having a right back that can play and cross well with both feet?!
  8. A goal, two assists and the creation of numerous other chances in his first two competitive matches for us?
  9. Seriously? Tanner's link up play was absolutely tremendous in the first half - he's scored one and assisted two others in two games, his assist today for Cadden was absolutely glorious. He should've scored again today but for an excellent point blank save. Bowman ran himself into the ground and made some fantastic head flicks to set up counter attacks in the first half. Second half he was playing against 6 men and understandably faded away. Frear wasn't at his best today but he's still putting dangerous balls into the box; he doesn't take on his man quite as much as I'd like (as others have said) and has questionable decision making at times but he also busted his arse tracking back more than once to help cover. One thing that really came out of the game today was that the fitness of this team is markedly improved on last season already - every player was sprinting to win back possession all game and ran the length of the park in the 85th minute to make a challenge.
  10. Nah, was in Nandos.
  11. Think he means our first goal?
  12. Yeah, pretty sure their first 5 games of last season were away to allow Anfield upgrades to be completed.
  13. Steelboy rushing to judge someone? NEVER.
  14. I absolutely love the away kit. Totally different and something that I'll buy the minute it's available.
  15. Will be intriguing to see what formation we play next season. Reports from Hartlepool fans are that he's a very good keeper, so delighted with that. Especially the 3 year deal. Delighted we're getting our business done this early - Robbo learning his lessons from having to throw his team together last minute at Oldham, perhaps?
  16. I suppose it depends on where we play Tanner - if we deploy him as a winger then I think a central attacking midfielder would be a decent signing. A lot will depend on what formation Robinson wants to play, I guess.
  17. I think my comparison to Moult was a bit unfair; I'm happy with him as a replacement/back up to a replacement for Moult if/when they come in. If he's Moult's replacement come August I'll be concerned.
  18. True, but as pointed out he was playing in a team destined for relegation. He seemed to have a bit about him when we played them/when I've watched him that set him apart. Put him in a team with Frear and Cadden creating chances I think he'll score plenty.
  19. A journeyman just like Louis Moult when we signed him then, aye?
  20. Twitter feed saying signings announced this afternoon.
  21. Why? We need a back up keeper too. My biggest concern would be signing him as our number 1 for next season - reeks of Dan T all over again. However, if he is signed as a back up to a seasoned pro who can bring him along and eventually lead to him being the successor (Graeme Smith/Gordon Marshall style) then I'm all for it.
  22. I'd argue that by today's showing Moult and Bowman have the potential for an even better understanding; the big man/little man routine could do us well if Moult is still about next year.
  23. Thought we played well for 75/80 minutes today. Switched off for 10 and inevitably we conceded. What Samson was doing for the second I don't know - rushed his kick when there was no need to giving the ball away and then came rushing out only stand there like a statue. Campbell was absolutely outstanding and showed Pearson how a midfielder should play. Speaking of Pearson, he needs to get his foot in - shat out of far too many 50/50s today when if he'd been braver he'd have saved the back 4 on numerous occasions.
