That article is 3 years old?!

I'd be looking for at least another RM/LM rather than more CM; we've got Leitch, Lasley and Pearson there already +1 gives us 4, which I think is enough. Definitely need a minimum of 3 wide players over two positions. Edit: Forgot about Thomas; I'd still want another winger/forwardy type for either wing, though.

Had to flip between Marv, Mick and Skippy (who I thought did a lot of leg work unnoticed today) but went for Marv. He'll be a star next season if he keeps this form up. Kudos to Ainsworth today too; looked like he wanted to defend and got stuck in when required.

Any word on Pearo and Hammell? Hoping they were taken off as a precaution? -

Like most have said, the first goal on Sunday is absolutely key. Needs to be us to effectively kill the tie. I'll take a dour 0-0 all day long. I wouldn't put it past us to lose 3-0 on Sunday and make last night meaningless! -

Was chatting to Dodge the other day and we both agree; the team that we fear the most tonight and Sunday is Motherwell. -

I'm seriously considering a media/internet black out tonight until after the final whistle; I'm not sure I could take listening to it. Feart. -

I'd take it anyway; driver's licence etc. just to be sure. -
Fair play; I was alluding to the fact he was shite during the game and knew it, hence his reluctance to come anywhere near us. Legs are gone, attitude stinks and as you pointed out he could've walked 3 times over.
-
How does it discount that argument? He's quite rightly pointing out that the majority of Erwin's chances have come from his pace and skill on the ball to turn defenders. John Sutton just doesn't have that, which is the point that's being made!

Absolutely abysmal on Saturday, no other word for it. What the hell happened to Marvin? In the second half he had 3 or 4 chances to get by his man and made no attempt. I did see him get an absolute torrent of abuse/instructions/whatever from the assistant manager during the first half, which he didn't take too kindly to. Reeks of the Malpas season when players were being abused and demeaned rather than coached. Grant just looked like he was there for an afternoon stroll, McManus' tackle was horrendous and Captain Fantastic is the biggest bottle merchant at our club. He was close to walking down the tunnel without acknowledging the fans at the end; which says it all. Let him take a full time role at Sportscene next season; I'd much rather have Leitch in the middle of the park.

Perhaps he's changed the minds of others based on how he wants to run things now he's got his feet under the table? Boards/Management can change their minds, you know.
-
Agree with that; just look at the gems United have uncovered there. I'm sure it won't be our only market; remember Marvin came from Kidderminster! I hope if we stay up Bara gets the money & chance to have a bit more influence from that point of view. Can really see us pulling out a few players that we can sell on if that's the case.

Start of half time; just had it confirmed.

I'm sure one turnstile is left open until about 3:20/3:30 but I'll check with my mate who works on them and let you know.
-
Provided we use his wage to sign up Erwin to a 3 year deal I'm happy. If not we'll be shopping for a striker in the summer, as Erwin will be offski as discussed if he doesn't get the money he's wanting.
-
I've heard he hasn't been offered a new deal and has known it for a few months...
-
I'd keep Law too. In a team full of right backs he's quietly gone about making the position his own. I don't think it's a coincidence that Law being at RB consistently has tied in with Ainsworth coming onto a game.

Went for Johnson, thought he had his best game and was unlucky not get a couple himself. Looks like he can hit a volley as sweet as you like and his two assists were excellent; particularly for McDonald as he could've been greedy and had a shot but recognised he was in a better position. The ball in for Sutton's first was simply sublime. Three wingers on the park last night and all of them set up the goals. Tremendous to watch and Dom Thomas doing Goodwin and his reaction was the icing on the cake. Special mention to George Long who had his best game for us, I thought. Only punched once and made a decent contact, catching everything else; an excellent near post save from that header in the 2nd half, too. Too many times we're quick to criticise when mistakes are made; he was flawless last night. His reading of through balls/chips over the top stopped St Mirren getting in behind on a few occasions.

On the contrary, for me he's the right appointment at the right time. McCall left us in a sorry state when he went; I think everyone agrees we were a mess (the disagreements I've seen are over the level of mess) and needed a major overhaul of attitude and desire at the club. Baraclough appears to have brought that to the table, including making some very encouraging backroom staff appointments that have made the world of difference to our fitness and confidence. I'll admit some of his signings have split opinion, but as long as they do a job for us and fill in when required I'm happy. Grant and Johnson came out of the blue and are both great players. Grant in particular looked good playing centre mid last night when he came on for Pearo, which encouraged me (any word on his injury?) Whatever league we're playing in next year I fully expect him to be in charge; with some new signings (however many he's allowed to make to replace the inevitable free transfers in the summer) a full preseason under his leadership with our fitness coaches and his assistant will give us a vastly improved team and club with the building blocks for a successful future.

Dear oh dear. Long AGAIN.

Aye, fairly sure it was Tommy Jnr. When I say 'recently' read: anywhere in the last 5/10 years.

Was his boy not playing for Killie/in their youth set up recently?
