Jim Goodwin? Grey hair rather than bald?
  2. Faddy for me. Mention for Gunnar, who was solid. Carswell looked like he was carrying a niggle but he still dug it out when he had to.
  3. I actually felt he had a better day today; he was given a few mental back-passes by Angol (who isn't exactly oozing confidence at the minute) and made a few good saves.
  4. Tremendous game and always brilliant to get it up that wee bawbag Higginbotham. His second goal was top class, right enough. Defence was a bit of a mess in places and felt Ainsworth wasn't too interested in defending at times, which led to them having space to use against Hammell who looked solid if vulnerable at times at RB. Showed brilliant character to come from behind having been in front, which I'm delighted about. Thought that McCall's subs were at the right time and brought a bit more urgency - I felt Anier coming on gave the team a lift; quite why he hasn't been starting I don't know. Hoarse from all the abuse to Higginbotham and the cheering at the end. Tremendous game of football, not likely to be topped this season - the guys from Go Ahead Eagles that were in the East with us couldn't have picked a better game to come to.
  5. Straws. Lots and lots of straws.
  6. The game was the day of my 21st. First night (the Wednesday) it hit midnight and everyone got me booze. On game day, all the people I hadn't seen the night before bought me booze. The only stuff I can actually remember buying was a crate from a supermarket. Can vaguely remember going for a pizza with my brother and having our photos taken with French women, then ending up walking about inside the cathedral just round from the square. Melted.
  7. Man, I'd completely forgotten about that. What a complete downer that was. I can remember Maloney saying they didn't deserve to win that night. Boruc made some tremendous saves that night (one from Kerr in particular) I recall.
  8. Nancy for me - absolutely amazing way to spend my 21st birthday.
  9. Out of curiosity more than anything else, am I the only one wondering how Aberdeen are sustaining their current squad wages wise and what it might mean in the long term for them? Surely the entire first team squad must be earning a fortune...
  10. I *think* it was 13 for Ruddy and Randolph made it 14? Stattos?
  11. I'm assuming you mean qualified out-right. Did we not get into the Europa League the season previous (I think that was via the fair play route, though? Fair point if it was!)?
  12. Yep, Randolph beat Ruddy's record the season after Ruddy set it - so half under Brown, half under McCall.
  13. Definitely not, I doubt Man City would send him to us. Reguero on the other hand, might be a decent shout.
  14. Agree with what's been said above; I think Carswell's problem is that he's not setting up or scoring goals, like the ones being noticed at United are. I firmly believe that's a part of his game he can develop under McCall/Lasley; give him a 2/3 year deal as soon as possible and give him a foundation he can build on. Still staggering that he hasn't got an U21 cap, yet, right enough.
  15. We can't sign him on a free yet - he has another year on his deal due to how his current team's season works, so he won't be out of contract until next January (I think). Also agree re: Moore mentioned above. I've seen him 2 or 3 times finish tamely or miss the target when a square ball would have led to a tap in for Sutton/an other. He played well at Kille but was guilty of the same offence there, as well as at the weekend.
  16. Plus diesel etc when I'm saving for a mortgage? I'll listen on the radio and save my cash for the 'Well, thanks.
  17. Both. Club put prices up today... £24 for an adult and £18 for a concession. I wouldn't bother at that price.
  18. Not quite to the same scale but I can still remember leaving several OF matches at half time/earlier when I was 7/8 (getting on for 18/19 years ago now), as I used to sit in the 'family' section of the Main Stand, where there was nothing other than a flimsy wooden barrier separating us (left hand side as you look at it from the East stand, right on the line between the plastic non-backed seats and the wooden fold downs) and the OF fans. I can remember beating Rangers 2-1(?) when Willie Falconer scored in the last minute wearing the fluorescent strip (Motherwell Times headline was 'Muddy Marvel' as it was a diving header through the goal mouth) and one of their fans reaching over the barrier (and my brother and I) to grab my uncle who I went to games with to threaten him with a stabbing after the game because he told him to cut out his language as he was right next to the family section.
  19. Why not? It'll be entertaining, at least.
  20. *Brings out Seville calculator* I counted at least 30 of the flimsy plastic seats broken in some form or another when I was leaving (we stayed until the end once everyone had cleared out), as did quite a few of my mates that were with me.
  21. 3-5-2, which looked like it might actually work for about 30 minutes...
