  1. I'm not going to disagree with you, I think it's horrendous that we don't aim for higher than that. Given we now have the playoff, I think it's essential we target a higher place than that, IF that's still the case.
  2. I'm fairly sure I've read in the past that we tend budget for finishing 11th in the SPL? Or was that before our 'success' came along?
  3. Nor will the 30-40 broken seats in the Well Boys' area. 'Well fans not criminals'. Aye. Right.
  4. Why shouldn't we have one? Because it's gash.
  5. Aye, because that's worked so well the last few games?!
  6. It was a poor result, yes. But they absolutely pumped Hearts for 25 minutes or so. If they play like that on Sunday and we play like we have the last 2 games, we'll get thrashed. In terms of what we do on Sunday, McCall has to refresh things somehow - be that trying a new formation, bringing in Moore from the start... I don't know. That was my problem with last night (and kudos to the guy in-front for pointing it out); I shouted that McCall needed to change it - but how? What could he have done last night to change things when we went 1-0 down? The bench had no options to change it after McHugh and Ainsworth came on (I'm not counting Faddy as he was clearly injured and McCall had no intention of playing him). It'll be a long, hard season until we can find a formation that works for us because quite simply I don't think McCall has found his best formation for the squad we have. Considering he's been working with most of them since the summer, I'm a tad worried that we might never see it...
  7. David Weir, anyone? Played when he was what, 39/40? Provided he keeps playing well, shows the skill/touches he has for us he's very much in with a shout.
  8. Surprised no one has mentioned Vigurs yet, thought he did very well. My vote goes to Carswell, who was absolutely fantastic. I'd be happy with that starting 11 every week. Thought Hammell looked a different player with Vigurs instead of Zaine in front of him.
  9. Was hoping to make it up from work, but it's a 3 hour drive and finish at 4:30. Looks like I'll be giving it a miss. :-(
  10. Have seen him play down here for Accy and he was excellent... definite potential. My work is full of rumours about Randolph and Burnley. I reckon it'd be a decent stepping stone for him to the PL in a few seasons, similar to Ruddy.
  11. Why? I'd wager there's quite a few people that were at the stage of not caring well before the voting ballots came out.
  12. See Flow's post in the other thread, mate...
  13. I'm afraid that I just can't afford it - no matter how much I've tried to justify what I think is an excellent idea, I can't pay into it. I'm getting married in just over a year and that's got to take priority.

I was thinking exactly the same thing about this when I read some of the comments on here/FPC at lunchtime today...
  15. Can only echo what's been said before. I've chatted with him a few times and he was always a complete gentleman. RIP.
  16. Lived in Motherwell my whole life, but now working in England during the week, so put outwith Scotland (I'm home every weekend, but figured I spend more time where than in Motherwell now).
  17. I'm not sure I'd want another centre mid when we clearly need another experienced striker (assuming Clancy has signed up, which covers our need for a defender). It'd give us a real embarrassment of riches in the centre of midfield - we can't afford that, really. Coke was a tidy player for us but I'd rather see Carswell or Forbes () be given a chance.
  18. Just in from the game - if we play like that for this season we'll be top 6 easily. Made mincemeat of their defence at times in the first half. The link up play between Law, Higdon, Murphy and Humphrey was a joy to watch. Still think Higdon has a bit more to offer than he's shown thus far, but he held up the ball well and played some good passes. Was blowing out his arse after 70 odd minutes, which is a worry. Some of our defending was comical - Randolph looked ropey at best at times. His drop for their first goal was inexcusable. All in all though, we looked good - if we can tighten things up a bit at the back, keep attacking like we did today and get another striker in, it's going to be an exciting season!
  19. Fairly sure I've seen him play against Accrington Stanley this season - looked a very nippy and dangerous player. Think he'd do well for us if we get him signed on a 3-4 year contract and allow him to develop.
  20. I don't disagree with any of that, either. I thought something else was getting at why the strip hasn't been released, but perhaps I mis-interpreted. There's a quote on here from Alan Provan saying there should be a mock-up of it ready in April. We've got another nine days left before that's not true.
  21. Our anniversary isn't until the 17th May, though? The "year" of our anniversary runs through 2011 and 2012.
  22. I suppose that's a decent enough way to do it - play well and secure us a top-6 finish, we'll reward you by giving you a contract for the next 18 months... Gives players an incentive to win as many games as possible.
  23. I was 3, can't say I remember much of it. I do have a photo of me and my brother standing in front of the double decker bus outside of Fir Park before the victory parade!
  24. Can't believe I forgot it was the semi-final draw...
