Jeffers for me - if he can sort out his final passes (he hit defenders a few times in the first half) he'll create a lot of goals for us. Unlucky with two or three of his shots, too.
  2. Quite looking forward to this one - my brother's the crowd doctor, so I'm getting free hospitality.
  3. Think you need to register to the club website mate - should be an option there to get it!
  4. I'd have to disagree with that ^ I thought we looked MUCH better going forward with the 5 across the middle and Sutton up top on his own. Murphy and Humphrey supported him very well, as did Lasley, Forbes and Jenno. If we play with the confidence and attacking ability that we did on Sunday, we'll win. A winning system is a winning system, no matter who it is against.
  5. Just because a defender shields the ball doesn't mean he's blameless, or indeed that the keeper's going to collect. Unless Mulgrew he hears a shout, it's HIS job to to clear the ball away.

Anyone got a photo of the team of the week they could post up? I can't get the Scottish Sun doon here in Englandshire!

He did, although I'd say Randolph had a much better game in terms of how important some of his goalkeeping was. Every time we needed Randolh to take a cross or make a save he did, Kello made some fine stops, but I don't think his overall contribution was as great as Randolph's (Jambo mate of mine that was at the game said the same, having watched the 'Well game on Sky).

Randolph. Pulled off some excellent saves at very important times, his save from Stokes and the two from Commons (late first and late second half) were some of the best I've seen.
  9. Yeah, I mentioned that to him and he said he played a *few* more times than that, but like I said - he was mostly in the reserves, when Judas Brown was in charge of them.
  10. A player called Billy Hare from the late 70s/early 80s? Tells me he played a few games for the first team (including starting his second game at Ibrox), predominantly played for the reserves though. Just met him at my work - he's now an engineer here!
  11. It's always tough losing someone, but even more so at this time of year. My thoughts are with you and your family at this time. RIP.
  12. That's even more comical coming from someone with a signature like that...

    Who Was

Cancel that, you're right - I was thinking it was McGhee that played him at left back at first, but I think it might've been Malpas...

    Who Was

Nope, he was brought in on a free transfer at the start of McGhee's second season, with Hammell being in the January I think? He played against Bradford City along with two other trialists Soley(?) and one other whose wage demands seemed ridiculous, I seem to recall...
  15. I'm thinking they might mean the improved 3G stuff - with the better artificial grass. As you said, I don't think 4G has been introduced here properly?
  16. Easily goal of the season from the Juke, an utter screamer!!!!! :D :D :D SOOOOOO HAPPY!

Most of the posters on one of his current team's forums... Rickoza posted the link in the other thread.
  18. Aye, I've still got two of my Xara kits upstairs - the full amber one with the claret collar, Motorola writing and claret round the end of the arms. The other was the Untouchables one, which in fairness wasn't the greatest effort but they're both still in pretty good condition!
  19. Stevie Hammell's signed on for another 2 years... Official Site.
  20. It did, actually. Rugby game though.

Jennings for me - thought he was solid, yet again. Really need to get a new contract sorted for him. I was at a loss as to why Coke keeps getting a game on the left of midfield the last few weeks - I don't think he's creative enough - but today showed me why, he kept Wotherspoon and their winger (Stevenson? Gow? I can't remember and don't care enough to find out) quiet for his entire time on the park. By the time he came off O'Brien and Hammell could start to be fairly successful attacking down that side because Wotherspoon etc had hardly been in the game.
  22. See to be fair? It's true (albeit not as harsh as he has worded it). My immediate reaction on Wednesday night (I was right in-front of the goal in the Cooper stand) was that Forbes had no need to touch the ball as it was going in anyway - yes I'm upset about the decision and it was clearly plain wrong, but that doesn't change the fact Forbes didn't need to touch the ball, which is what Dougal's saying.
