https://x.com/ScotlandSky/status/1812842871642563045 Bair in France to seal his move, apparently. Saying the move is worth "in excess of £1.4m".

Agreed; Moses on Saturday did enough to convince me that he can't play the complete forward/lone striker position (right now, anyway) but based on his movement and positioning, definitely can play as a poacher/on the shoulder type striker. I think him and Robinson together with one of Nicholson/Stuparavic behind them could do some damage. Watching him warming up reminded me of Porter's finishing*; he always found a corner and very rarely, if at all, missed the target. *I am not for one second comparing the two ability wise as Porter was one of the best "complete" strikers I've seen at FP, just commenting on the fact that Moses looks like he can finish similarly. Like others have said, Robinson definitely showed some graft, nice touches and a willingness to drive at defenders (his shot from distance wasn't too bad, either) when he was on. I think he's also deceptively quick; he's quite a gangly lad at 6'2" but definitely covered ground well. Stuparevic doesn't strike me as a runner; very much a bigger-hold-up-and-create-space-back-to-the-goal type which is actually a welcome option/different style. You can actually see SK's recruitment there has worked quite well; all three of our first team strikers offer something different that can compliment the others' ability/playing style. I'd still like another creative midfielder type to come in; we were definitely lacking the killer pass on Saturday at times and going up against two blocks of four/a four and a five we didn't demonstrate any real penetration. I would argue that was probably more down to personnel in the first half and a lack of urgency; we definitely did better in the second half and I thought we started to get in behind a bit more when Robinson and Stuparevic came on. RWB wise, I think McDermott showed some decent touches/willingness to get in behind in his cameo but we definitely need another body there if he ends up going out on loan and Johnny K is out injured for a while. As much as I'm a fan of SODs, his days of playing as the complete wing back outside emergency cover are behind him.

If that's what happens, we'd be better just upping sticks and moving tbh. I understand from a few sources/people a move away from FP has "never been closer".
-
Aye, waiting on international clearance.
-
Aye that's what I was told; he's got his pick of two teams who both met the valuation apparently.
-
Aye, agreed. Is this not the daylight rule or whatever it is that Wenger has been suggesting for a while? There's all kinds of issues with the FPS of cameras used and their inability to pinpoint exactly when it's kicked etc. Did they not put a suspended sensor in the ball for stuff like that this tournament? I think it's used to determine handballs/contact like the edge system in cricket.

They sadly got rid of big Ouzy from Love Island, too. Man deserves kudos for fucking up that wee prick Tyrique for a few weeks.
-
Aye that's my list too, in order of priority as well.
-
Agreed; if he's settled in London, there's plenty of Championship/League One clubs around there he can sign for without having to up sticks.
-
Definite Lyle Lanley vibes with all of this too. 🤣

Someone over on P&B saying there's rumours the offer has been pulled... Source is a normally reliable WhatsApp group. ... I'll believe it when I see it, though.

It's meaningless numerically, to an extent, yes. It's not meaningless when it adds to the total percentage of shareholders who said "no", just to hammer home the point. It's also not meaningless because you get to tell him to fuck off twice, which is a wonderful, wonderful thing.
-
I did wonder if that was going to come, with all of the announcements of new assistants/coaches over the last few weeks.
-
Bet you're gutted, eh? Gonna need to change your display name and everything.

I think you're probably correct on a couple of fronts; he always struck me as someone who wanted to be involved in everything (rightly or wrongly) so perhaps there wasn't as much autonomy as you'd have wanted after he left. I was always told the best compliment a manager can have is that when they leave, they don't need to be replaced because the team they've left just gets on with things. I know the context is a bit different for a football Club, like, it needs a CEO, but a gap of 6-months with Derek Weir as interim should have been fine. It does show that the length of time the recruitment process took has probably been more detrimental to the Club than anyone expected it to be.

Welcome to the club; your membership badge is on the door and we'll teach you the handshake when you're in the back.

Aye, I'm sure he said (maybe on P&B or The Platform Formerly Known as Twitter) that he wasn't able to put all the cash in up front?
-
I do think we need to recognise that up until the last 12-18 months or so, the Club has been run quite well. The results do demonstrate that. The issue we have is that people have stayed in post too long and things have gone stale/been left rudderless; I do wonder if once "all this" is over, we need to consider maximum terms for the Chairman/Board Members, or something similar. Some would argue it's not been that difficult a job (Turnbull's sale, Les setting things up etc.) but there does need to be an acknowledgement of the track record. At least a bit, even with "all this" still going on.

Finishes 4-2, Paton with our last one.

Aye, I can't see it not being met in such an emotive/important vote; but if it's not, that's good to know. Cheers!
-
Votes cast, just like any election/referendum. I'm not sure what sort of required turnout there is, but I would expect it to be significantly higher than the last vote (which was in the mid 30s percentage wise, I think?) so I don't anticipate there being an issue with that.

And all of the same questions apply to Barmark's proposal; where are the details of who will invest in his (shite) business plan, other than "celebrities", "tech bruhs in shitty chinos" and "hollywood elites"? The level of scrutiny being put towards one proposal, absolutely has to be put to the other (and also bloody well answered). There has still be no public acknowledgement of the inaccurate figures used in the plan EB published last Thursday. But hey; this isn't a vote for or against the WS proposal, is it? 🙄
