  1. I bought a Macron training top, and it is really cheap! Looks ok, and to be fair was reasonably priced, but would have happily paid an extra £10 or whatever for it had it been better quality.
  2. What was the attendance at the replay in 1994? Felt like it was packed out that night.
  3. Ive seen that figure quoted, should get some of that back in gate money though. Maybe not much of it, but hey ho. Will get a better atmosphere at 3pm on a Saturday with a decent crowd than if its moved and folk choose to watch on tv, particularly if its BBC.
  4. I had presumed Richard Gordon, Willie Miller and Chick Young would have a meeting to decide. Kidding aside, Aberdeen and particularly Killie are flavour of the month, so cant see our game being picked for TV (which is a good thing for those of us that can make it along!)
  5. Im guessing thats why theyre still full price. (ie. were still in Cup, and presumably ahead of anticipated sales with LC final and popularity of away top) My wee boy could be doing with a new kit, but grudge paying full whack this far into the season if theyre changing it...
  6. Are we keeping either of this seasons kits? Are we still with Macron and McEwan Fraser next season I guess that will be a factor...
  7. With BBC sportsounds heavy Aberdeen weighting and the current Media love in for Steve Clarke (admittedly deserved it seems) it would seem a stick on. Unless they let Allan Preston pick.
  8. Ive always thought Charles Dunne looks like a footballer! Unfortunately for him, its Joleon Lescott...
  9. Plenty parking in the streets around the ground. If you go into the houses behind the goals with the Big stand at Tannadice youll get parked no bother.
  10. This is where dirty isnt the correct word. For example Carsons red in the game we got 3 at McDiarmid was a marginal call for handling outside the box. Dunne at Ross County was for DOGSO, not quite the same as leg breaking challenges... Kipre in the final...
  11. Id imagine just as an example based on Saturday Thistle (and Im sure accies) will have picked up a lot of bookings for tinewasting and the likes, so using the number of yellow cards to decide who is dirtiest doesnt really work either. Most cynical or least sporting probably could be taken from the table.
  12. Surely Craig Levein was making the point that Scott Brown should be penalised more, which may affect said table. Using the disciplinary table as a retort to Craig leveins point doesnt really work in that context.
  13. Is the cheaper advance price only for season ticket holders and society members? The headline suggests it is, but article doesnt mention it.
  14. Under normal circumstances a 30 yo wouldnt have great sell on value and if we got £20k wed have turned a profit, so nothing at all wrong with the sell on clause, it allowed us to get a goalkeeper some of you are valuing at a million for £10k.
  15. Its not like he was born and brought up in Motherwell, that would at least give some credence to folks displeasure at him having supported Rangers as a boy. He was a very good player for us and always comes across a decent guy. Id stop short of hoping he does well at Rangers, but I certainly wont be booing him on his return to fir park.
  16. Me too, was just being devils advocate (or a dick?) given some criticism of others who have been promoted within the club.
  17. Definitely not, just threw it in as a point of interest and to point out that results can gloss over your inadequacies. Im not a massive fan of our style of play, but do agree with Robinson that you need to earn the right to play nice football and being fitter, stronger and working harder than your opponents is a good place to build from.
  18. Chat of Robinson out is ridiculous. Probably indicative of the unbelievable fickleness of football fans. Everything is either amazing or terrible and nothing in between. In reality when everything was amazing before the cup final we were probably riding our luck at times getting the breaks at the right times, and getting results. Since the Celtic games weve not changed our style of play, but playing percentages we need some breaks and weve had none, decisions and injuries etc have conspired against us also. As many have acknowledged the margins in this league are so fine. Stuart McCall managed 2-3 good years of just being marginally less shit than our opponents, and had a team with a sprinkling of quality, but a great knack of getting a break at the right time and stepping on from there. In his last full season we were horrendous to watch but strung a great run together and ended up 2nd thanks to a goal that would epitomise Robinsons style of play. Losing Moult is a big blow which any manager would struggle with. He will need to get in a good replacement, but hes signed enough decent players for me to think he can do the job. Id put his success rate at about 50/50 at the moment which isnt too bad given the size of overhaul and the market hes in.
  19. Id be hoping after a 3 week break wed be pretty close to a full squad available. Whats the story with injuries? I thought Cadden and Frear were just minor....
  20. I think a lot of us, myself included got a bit carried away with the Aberdeen perfirnance. We basically set out that night the same as we do in every game, try to drag the other team into a shit fest for 50-60 minutes, and hope to sneak something. It worked a treat v Aberdeen due to a combination of Louis Moult and their keeper throwing in 2 goals, then we looked amazing. Its fine margins, but if their keeper doesnt throw in either of the goals its a very different game. We didnt take our chances last night at the start and end of the 1st half, and lack the quality to step it up and try and win. The less said of our plan at firhill the better!
  21. Unless he has a job lined up, seems unlikely theres not a bit more to it.
