  1. Hard to imagine we'd get that when he can go for nothing in the summer, but I suppose if someone really needs a goalscorer to keep them up or get them up...
  2. Was always a 50/50 chance. I presume you have something on, rather than a dislike of football on Sunday's? (Not that you need to justify it to me, just curious)
  3. If you're taking kids it's not great. I might treat myself to a seat in the main stand. Which really isn't like me, I'm a tight B....
  4. I think we might be able to attract a bit more, as Rangers are a far inferior team to any old firm side we've played at Hampden. Basically people might come out the woodwork as we have a decent chance of winning.
  5. I'd had an idea for the 'well society. May not be worthwhile due to the admin, but... Could folk donate/loan unused season tickets to the society, for example if they can't make it next Saturday, they could give the 'well society that ticket to re-sell or "give away" for a donation? There are probably loads of free kids tickets that folk took just because they could that are seldom or never used. These could be loaned to the society and given out for a suggested £5 (which becomes £10) donation.
  6. To be fair to the SPFL, I think it's the 4 clubs who agree on pricing. With the old firm being involved, there may be an element of cashing in, and certainly no need to offer a reduced price to sell out (or close to it). Although I suspect they just see that as the going rate. Given they charge each other £49 at each other's ground.... I don't think it's that expensive, although take your point about a 17 year old in full time education. Always thought that was a bit of a hit to overnight jump from £10 to £25 because you had a birthday despite your circumstances remaining exactly the same. Otherwise I don't think the pricing could be much fairer. (Unless he has a beard, just get him a concession. I was getting in the boys gate at away games well into my 20s)
  7. Allright Stewart Regan. I do agree though. £25 is now cheaper than several SPFL grounds, perhaps we are a bit spoilt. £19 in the east stand must be about the cheapest walk up price in the top 2 leagues. What were people expecting? If I could find a moan, the majority of our allocation is behind the goal, and even the main stand seats will be towards the corner by the time you take away all the hospitality etc. as I said earlier though it's the only way they could really divvy it up.
  8. It's unfortunate we get tucked away in a corner, but logistically etc it makes sense. In an ideal world we'd have some seats on the halfway line in the north stand, but can't be done for segregation.
  9. I thought Dunne was poor. Funny how we can see things differently. Nobody had a complete 'mare, but we just couldn't reach the heights of Thursday, in part down to Aberdeen stopping us play.
  10. The league cup final is before the transfer window, which may be a blessing.
  11. If he gets back to his best, I wouldn't be surprised if someone was willing to pay a small fee in January, to take him then rather than on a pre-contract.
  12. There were only a handful of people who thought he was a midfielder. Tom Hateley, Stuart McCall and apparently Paul Hartley. Competent enough right back on the most part.
  13. Surely it can be either, it could also stipulate it had to be paid in ginger bottles if that's what they wanted... I've no idea if any sell on clause in Marvins transfer is a percentage of profit or a percentage of the fee, nor do I know if it's to be paid as money or in empty glass bottles. I doubt the club will tell us either.
  14. Few goals similar to Moults, and his was the pick of them. The free kick and the thunderbolt near the start were good though.
  15. Carson should've forgotten about the ball and run out and stuck the nut on the guy. I know calling the Jack one a head butt is a stretch, but for as long as I can remember going head to head and making a forward motion has been a red card every day of the week. The fact Stokes should've gone too is neither here nor there, 2 wrongs don't make a right!
  16. Yes, take your point. To flip your argument though, as we're constantly pleading poverty, teams think we will take any offer for our best players, and we maybe won't get as much as we could. Look at some of the fees Dundee united have pulled in. I'm sure it is tight, but feel we tend to overplay the negatives and ignore the positives, for example focusing on lack of cup run, rather than acknowledging we got good draws in terms of revenue (e.g. Rangers at home, Celtic away last year in league cup).
  17. We tend not to shout good news stories about our finances and any windfalls from the rooftops. Just the doom and gloom ones.
  18. Are there teams actually wanting to buy him? I'm guessing so if he's handed in a transfer request?
  19. Jamie Murphy on as an early sub for Brighton, hope he does well.
  20. Is he not the 2nd fastest man in Jamaica after Omar Daley?
  21. I think they've updated that rule? Or certainly advised a different interpretation. They are trying to stop the situation where defenders and particularly goalkeepers are getting sent off when they make a genuine attempt for the ball. So only the more cynical "last man" challenges should result in a red card. Given some of the appeals they upheld last season you'd say he'll get downgraded to a yellow, but who knows?
  22. What's the story with that? Missed this.
