If Aberdeen meet our valuation, he'll be off. Obviously if Aberdeen and an English team both made an offer we'd rather not sell to Aberdeen, but realistically in the short term are Aberdeen even a rival? They'll be 20 points + ahead of us with or without Louis Moult. Not many players have left Motherwell for a rival and found the grass greener, wouldn't be gutted for him if he went there and flopped.

I thought the TV money was pooled now?
-
Tom hardly who created 5 goals from 700 set pieces would definitely be an upgrade on the guy who was one of our top players for assists in his only (1/2 really) season. Tait has the makings of a cult hero.

I'd imagine Ciftci will be quite happy to sit it out at Celtic. He'd be lucky to get a month what they're paying him a week. If his agent is Pierre van Hooijdonk, I'd think he'd be advising him to do just that given his fall outs at Celtic and Forrest.
-
Apparently spoke to Hibs too and was looking for £5k a week. Which to be fair, is likely less than half what he was on elsewhere.

One of the aberdeen games is on a Wednesday, wouldn't surprise me if the other ends up on a friday.
-
Do the champions not traditionally open the season? I'd expect sky will be at parkhead for them unfurling the flag at 1230 on Saturday, and we'll be on BT on Sunday (especially as Rangers may have a European game on the Thursday if they get through the 1st 2 rounds?)

I'm delighted they've acknowledged he's a midfielder!

I'm sure most of us can relate to parts of her story, but particularly tragic for them being so young and all the things they'll feel he missed.
-
Celtic got that one.

That's why there's a Ronaldo/Messi debate. Not to say Ronaldo doesn't have ability, but without his athleticism he wouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as Messi. Not that Messi/Ronaldo could realistically be compared to Thomas/Cadden. A game that really showed how big athleticism was at the top level was when Everton came to fir park for Hammells testimonial. We had Law and Lasley, they had Mirallas and Feillani, their centre halves I think were Distin and some other 6ft + brute. I had no idea what a big team they were until I saw them line up against our team of midgets. Most EPL players have ability AND are athletes.

I meant today obviously.

I think talk of signing another 7-10 players is nonsense m, I'd say 3-4 more tops and even the higher end of that prediction would probably be on a one out one on basis and possibly include loans. Quality over quantity should be the way to go.
-
So nobody has denied we're signing Lafferty? Or Eden Hazard for that matter.
-
Yeah, never understood that? Going as far back as the fluorescent yellow kit, which I'm sure came out in October. I presume we are pretty far down the pecking order of whatever manufacturer we have, which may be why?
-
I suppose there's the NI connection with Robinson and his wife's from Glasgow I think, but he'd be looking for significantly more than we could offer.
-
I see his free kick v Killie has been nominated for Goal of the month. Not even the best free kind ck in the shortlist mind you.
-
Could see Moult still being here in August, which leaves us in a bit of a pickle if we get an offer near the deadline...
-
Could we get him on a 1- month rolling contract? He seems to be able to produce the goods when his deal is nearly up....
-
He started packing his bags months ago, only way I can see him at fir park next season is if he's either had a complete change of heart, or doesn't get any other offers. Even then, that's assuming Robinson wants to keep him...
-
There seems to be a resignation that Moult is away. What's his situation? 1 year left, so need to cash in I presume? Would be great if we could get him to extend his contract, unless he's desperate to leave?
-
That's the crux of the matter, if he was some faceless man in a suit, nobody would know his name, never mind blame him for Craig Samson gifting goals all season. I'm sure he is learning on the job a bit, but he was starting from a decent enough point having been around the club for a good few years. We could have brought in some dick from a bank or whatever who would've been in the same boat, but with no inside knowledge of how the club had been run.
-
Yeah, injuries to Mchugh, Tait and McManus, Pearson and Hammell struggling for fitness and form, Moult being out for a bit, the spate of red cards in December... A lot of things have conspired to stop us ever getting our best 11 or even a steady 11 on the park.
-
Would consider Bowman worth keeping as a squad player and as an option from the bench. Clay doesn't look better than Campbell, and if Mchugh can move back into midfield could be surplus to requirements. Ironically Laing is in my opinion the best player mentioned in your post (not a big boast! )
-
Exactly, and rightly so, his job is to keep us up, if he achieves 10th place, he's done that. I've not been impressed with his formation and tactics, but he has had his hand forced by injuries and the amount of deadwood in our squad. Playing Cadden at right back, and not just playing Moult through the middle with Mcdonald off him is killing us. 3 of the best attacking players in the league, and we've had about 5 shots on goal in the last 6 games.
