I was at their game the other week, and he wasn't even in the squad. Possibly injured, but hasn't played enough games to get suspended.
-
I didn't even know he was Scottish, so at least this thread has served a purpose.

If our football was priced to reflect the difference in quality it might help?

Thought the Scott Brown booking was a strange decision I thought. I don't think he touched Cadden, and Cadden has tried to con the ref Kyle laugherty style, but the ref has booked Brown, so presume he does think brown has stuck his head into him. I've never seen a booking for that, always a red card. Shat it? Moult should have probably gone too mind you. -

Loving the impartial commentary! Is that Tom Boyd co-commentating? What a cunt! (If not, the point still stands) -
The price of going to games does appeared to have levelled off a bit over the last Few years at £20-£23 for most grounds. I felt through the 90s and early 2000s the price went up by £1 every season. I do think we are missing a trick by not offering more attractive pricing to away fans. Whether that be free kids with a paying adult (to mirror the season ticket offer in the cooper) or just a more competitive price. The "customers" are out there, we just need to do more to persuade them that Fir Park should be one of the away grounds they make an effort to come to. A bigger away crowd will create a better atmosphere, and hopefully improve the experience for everyone.

Foran did walk most of the time because he was so unfit.

Frustrating player, as he had enough ability, but was knackered 20 minutes into games.

I bought a strip from china for my wee boy and it disappeared for weeks, then appeared at Heathrow airport and arrived a few days later. Try tracking it here..... https://www.aftership.com/courier/china-post

Tommy Coyne delivered mine this morning while I was out. Great service guys, sure it will be a good read too!

On a different note (and as the transfer thread is locked) was speaking to an Ayr fan yesterday who was asking about Dom Thomas as he reckons they are getting him on loan as Moore is out and no sign of return.

Perhaps we've just been a bit unlucky with guys like blyth, mchugh and Wes fletcher getting injured shortly after arriving. We had quite a good run under McCall where we appeared to have a squad of about 15 players. My worry is that we have a bit of quantity over quality, whereas in the most part of Mccalls reign we seemed to have a tight but strong squad. (Although the downside of no competition for places was evident towards the end). We went the other way under barraclough. Perhaps we do have the balance about right, although running with a few less senior players and using youth as a back up could allow us to raise the standard slightly...

We do seem to have signed too many players. Not sure if it's a case of sign 5 and hope 3 work? I think we could still run with a tighter squad and have some young players as back up. Blyth is a good example of a player I'm not convinced we really need, I know he's been unavailable, but would he get a game anyway? Will Lucas feature when Mchugh returns? Did we need him either? Belic sounded like what we needed, where is he. This is without going back to Theo Robinson, Wes fletcher etc.

Agree, but a lot of folk would've watched that on tv before heading along. Won't have a great affect on our travelling support I wouldn't imagine, more likely to affect the home gate, with casual/neutral punters giving it a miss. (I think accies pick up a bit of support through their kids teams etc.) Point I'm making is, it gives folk an excuse not to go, in a climate where we should be doing everything to get folk in grounds.

Head to head with the old firm game on the tv. Not sure what if any impact that will have on the attendance.

Unfortunately youngsters often only get the chance through necessity. Given how tight the league is, it's too big a gamble to throw them in and let them learn in the 1st team, so it's understandable that most bosses favour a bit of experience.

Scottish Premiership Motherwell V Hearts Fri 30 Sep 19:45

Agree with the above, we lack a Pearson type box to box midfielder. We seem to have defensive midfielders that lack a bit of mobility or wingers/forwards. -

I think you could get away with Hammell, Lasley or McManus, maybe even 2 of them, but all 3 are past their best and struggling. Hammells lack of pace tonight was terribly exposed. Samson isn't the worst shot stopper in the world, but pushes everything back in to danger. All 3 goals could be traced back to a Samson flap, and our inability to clear our lines. -
Motherwell V The Rangers Spfl Playoff Final 2Nd Leg 31/05/15

I'm not going to quote your whole post, and while not condoning what did go on, other than a statement from Rangers, I've seen no real evidence of the assaults on Rangers "players and staff". The keeper was pushed, and there's some grainy pictures of someone taking a fresh air swipe at Lee Wallace. That in itself is unacceptable, but not as bad as Rangers are making out. (This was live on tv, in front of 52000 people the majority of whom had camera phones, and all we've seen is 1 push and a fresh air punch) -
I presume he scored all their goals in September? It must be a bit tongue in cheek, as 2 of them were tap ins and one, possibly 2 were crosses.
-
I still can't believe he got a ban for that!

Marvin set up a goal with a headed flick on at the weekend. He'd been at fir park a year before he even attempted to head a ball!

Connor grant we had on Loan from Everton last season, I quite liked him. Although I'd probably swap him for Grimshaw, I forgot Grimshaw.

Ruddy Moutouakil O'brien Newman Straker Mcbride McCormack Vadocz Grant Jutkiewicz Spencer There's a team of loan players...

I had forgotten he was a loan. He actually looked ok going forward I thought, murder defensively though.
