  1. St johnstone v Celtic is on Sky, possibility of goal flashes during that game? Otherwise open all mics and/or twitter.
  2. Good spot from the assistant! He gets away with that sort of bawbagedness all the time!
  3. What's up with McManus? Regarding crowds, it is a tricky time of year with holidays etc, and after Stjarnan, there was probably an apathy that took the edge off the 1st game excitement. It could be worse, look at accies! They had 1600 at their 1st game back in the top flight. Dundee and utd don't have the same OF drain as they're much further from Glasgow.
  4. I met a stripper in magaluf that claimed to be his girlfriend.
  5. Their winning goal... Good strike, but got to question the keeper, if not the lack of closing down.....
  6. Hopefully we don't leave it as late as pittodrie!
  7. This. Was impossible, as I believe only Rosenborg of the seeds above us played the 1st round, so only 1 could go out and we needed about 4.
  8. I like the Ramadan joke, has a few layers! The food and drink's expensive, and it never gets dark...
  9. No, I'm going to Norway on a stag on the Friday. Wrong part of Scandinavia. (Also an unusual location for a stag, but hey ho!)
  10. I'm slightly worried about the fact we normally struggle in the 1st legs of European games and do the damage in the 2nd leg. (Flamurtari, Llanelli, allesunds). With the 2nd leg away from home, i wouldn't fancy going over there needing to win, or even worse a goal down...
  11. The ironic thing is they gave Motherwell far more money by going to the cup game at ibrox than they'd be starving us of if they do boycott fir park. I know some otherwise reasonable and intelligent Rangers fans who I believe won't be going to away games on their return. It's gone pretty quiet recently, and it appears to have mellowed a bit, but I'm sure a lot of the bitterness towards those they feel "kicked them when they were down..." Will come bubbling to the surface in 13 months time. I wouldn't think Motherwell should be budgeting for 5000 rangers twice next season, will be interesting to see how that pans out? (All assuming they manage to get out the championship...)
  12. If be very surprised if the Rangers fans travelled in the numbers they did before. I expect some form of boycott of Fir park and most other grounds when they return to the top flight.
  13. 1 of them has booked flights to Iceland, I'll take his if it's Bangor!
  14. There's an element of a gamble to any signing. We've been lucky that McCall has obviously made good choices and probably had a bit of luck.
  15. I think my mates going there for his honeymoon......
  16. Paul slane? (Not a potential signing, an ugly guy that's played for us since he in christie) Seems a bit harsh on Reynolds, never thought of him as being particularly ugly, just ginger. Pearson was both!!
  17. Where do you draw the line though? Personally my line is about the £20 mark. If I really want to go to a game I'll go, but speaking more generally, seeing killie away priced at £23 is over a line I've drawn, not because that extra £3 is going to break the bank, it's just too much for what's on offer in my eyes. Given the likely standard of opposition and how early in the competition it is, I think £25 is pushing their luck slightly.
  18. I think it's a bit steep given the likely level of opposition. We should be able to beat any team we can get in this round. Having said that, it's not going to be the deciding factor for most folk going or not.
  19. All 3 of them are flexible though, McFadden prefers to play up front, Angol can play left back and Vigurs can play in central midfield. I think we're pretty well covered at right back.
  20. We've just signed Craig Reid as a right back, and have Kerr and Ramsden who can play there too.
  21. It's a sandwich shop near fir park, and McGowan is a Ned released by stmirren, who recently got community service for police assault. http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/452731/St-Mirren-footballer-Paul-McGowan-spared-jail-for-police-assault

    Board Statement

Sorry, was talking more generally re paying wages. Buying 2 tickets and the likes. I'm not anti 'well society at all, would and possibly will join in the future if I feel I can justify the expense. As a compromise I signed up my son in the meantime. As for just giving money to clubs (like hearts fans) I find hard to comprehend. (Perhaps I think this way because of my own experiences?)
