Charity begins at home! Would MFC would tap me £20 to go to a game if I was skint? I'm like you, I'll support the club by buying tickets, merchandise etc. but over and above that, I can't justify it. I don't really understand the thinking that the punter in the stands should be throwing extra money in to make up the wages of £100k a year footballers, it doesn't compute in my head.

Am I the only one that thinks the club always overplay the negatives and largely ignores the positives when giving out info on the club finances? For example, this meeting was held before we beat Aberdeen, so we are (reportedly) £250k up already on where we were at the time. I'm willing to accept the cups and Europe this year were a disaster financially, but this hasn't been the case in previous seasons, yet they have been portrayed as such.

Cup winners and 2nd go in at q2 3rd place goes in at q1. Obviously if 2nd or 3rd win the cup, that would be jumbled about a bit, and 4th would be q1.

Do they not need to give at least 1 place to a cup winner/runner up? I think that's why Scotland have to let cup runners up in? It's UEFA, not SFA, Gordon smith tried to change it. (Just with 2 cups offering a Europa league place, chances are one of the winners won't have qualified for the champions league)

Yeah, my point was that making a loss in Europe is probably an exception. In previous seasons it's acted as a competitive pre season, which has seen us get off to a flier in our league campaign. I can also see the point in that we've been slightly unlucky in that we've generally avoided the glamour ties, but still drawn strong teams. Even Levante must be one of the least glamorous sides in La liga.

Why? If was a nightmare draw, but onwards and upwards! A few games more akin to Breidablik, allesunds or Flamurtari would be great!

Barring a st Johnstone v rangers cup final or us having a terrible run until the end of the season, I can't see us not being in Europe. Going in earlier could be great, hopefully get a winnable tie, and if it's not in Kazakhstan or the likes it's unlikely to lose the club money, with the early start we could perhaps get off to a good start in the league. For the doomsday lot amongst us... In the unlikely event we qualify for Europe, we'll be drawn in the remotest corner of Europe, get pumped and throw our pre-season into turmoil, as we've no games in July. Not to mention it will cost us money.

By my reckoning we can finish 4th and still get in the Europa league providing 2nd, 3rd or Rangers win the cup. Given that if we did finish 4th it would be behind the 2 favourites to reach the final.... Looks fairly likely that we'll be going on another European adventure!

With 3 of the teams that could finish above us, plus rangers who are in eligible still being in the Scottish cup, Europe looks fairly likely at the moment. Can't see Dundee Utd and Inverness CT both catching us. As long as anyone who does catch us wins the cup or loses the final to Rangers, 4th would do. Hibs are pretty poor by all accounts. 3-1 win.

I think most managers are the same though. Guys like McFadden, clarkson, Pearson, lasley, hammell... Were played out of necessity at the time.

On one hand, McCall does seem to prefer to shuffle the experienced players, putting hammell to right back, play left midfielders at right mid, forwards as wingers.... On the other of all the players that have left us recently they have gone down or out the game completely, so maybe they just weren't good enough? It's perhaps a symptom of McCall learning his management from Walter smith, who also appeared to have that tendency to shoe horn in an experienced player rather than gamble on a youngster.

Do we know Neilsen was at fault for the goal? Or is every goal we concede now just automatically his fault? We'll win 3-2.

Surely the 2nd table should just be table "number 2"?
