I'm not so sure? I've often said that a consistent low price may increase attendances, if nothing else, it might persuade away fans who go to a handful of games to choose fir park as one (or even 2) of those games. That seems a much neglected market that could be exploited?? The majority of Motherwell fans I know go to the games, I'm not sure that price is the main factor for those that dont anymore? We've proved seceral times, you literally can't give tickets away!

I think so far the postponed game has always been at parkhead, presumably for this reason! Motherwell or any other team would be pissed off if we took a financial hit for them to go off and play a money spinning friendly!

I think if Sutton could find the form he was in when he left fir park he'd be a great replacement for higdon! I think saying muchugh played 29 times last season and basing stats on that is harsh! I'd guess more than 20 of those were 15 minutes or less. I do see the point, that he has perhaps been limited in opportunities as he is not quite the finished article though. If he was as good as some folk hope he can be, he'd be starting every week.

If the SPFL goes through rangers can sign more players, as the 22 over - 21 player rule will be scrapped. Hateley actually had a good game in midfield against celtic, but normally he's rotten in midfield.

That doesn't apply under SPFL it was an SFL rule. "We can't cherry pick" I believe was the quote!

I doubt anyone at the record would know it was a mistake. The number of glaring inaccuracies in reports on Motherwell are embarassing, like pictures captioned with the wrong name for example.

You are only allowed a certain number of players aged over 21 in the SFL, I think it's 22. Rangers already have 22, or at least will on 1st September.

I'm really pleased with how things are going on and off the park. My intention wasnt to criticise how the club is being run, as on the whole it's being run well, especially considering the current financial climate in general, not just in Scottish football. But... Although we fell at the 1st hurdle in both cups, I'd say we made the most money we could falling at the 1st hurdle, with a total attendance of ~ 50,000 at the 3 games, 2 of which were televised, leading me to question what were our expectations? We would really need to have got to a Scottish cup semi final or a league cup final to have made similar income without playing one of the old firm. (As I see it, I don't know the full mechanics of how money is made from domestic cups).

I still don't understand how we made less than expected from the cups? Surely playing rangers at ibrox with a 35000 or so crowd is the equivalent of 7 games in front of 5000? Even 5 knocking the 1st 10,000 fans off for costs. In the Scottish cup we drew a decent size team in Aberdeen and had a replay, so had 2 games. Were we expected to get to the final of both cups? Or play both halves of the old firm in both cups?

He's been the best player on the park most times I've seen him, even in a Dundee game at celtic park I saw.

I thought a players salary and remaining time on contract were generally indicators of a players transfer value? Obviously there's not a formula as such, but to say that a player contracted for another 50 weeks @ £2000 pw is worth more than 400k seems a stretch! If we paid better wages or tied players up on longer contracts (I'm not suggesting we should) we possibly would command higher fees?

MFC TV probably has a cost, whereas a small discount on things like hospitality, tickets etc goes direct to the club. Perhaps a discounted MFC TV deal would be the way to go, then both parties win. Then to decide who's an exile? So would probably have to be open to all members.

I think anywhere near £400k would be a very generous offer for a player who will be able to sign a pre-contract in January.
