They had a problem getting the bricks made, it's been resolved now. I emailed them about one I'd ordered, and they were very apologetic and kept me up to date after that.

Always thought Motherwell were missing a trick releasing new kits towards the end of the summer! As a kid I'd have been allowed to get it for going our summer holidays, but it often wasnt out until after the summer. For most folk summer holidays, going to games and playing football are the only time to wear it, and given its Baltic for most of our season, that's one down already. You'd always have the new old firm kits out at this time of year, plenty of time for the matching season. Good stuff!

I take your point, that signing good younger players up on modest wages on longer contracts, with the hope of getting a fee is a far better model than signing guys in their 30s on £5k a week with no sell on value, and a poor attitude. I was at the midweek game at tannadice earlier in the season, and there was no atmosphere at all, it didnt go unnoticed that the bois weren't there, and it took something away from the match experience (for me anyway). SIWY!!!

Fair point! I'm thinking from my point of view, as a season ticket holder who has missed 4 or 5 games due to work or other commitments. A package like this would be more attractive to me, but would cost the club money. If I had 1 ticket left, and we had a game on TV, and a game not on TV, I'd go to the not on TV one, thus getting to see both games (much like I currently do with away games). I don't know if the folk who downgraded from a season vs the folk who bought into it instead of PATG would balance out. To give credit to MFC they are quite open to ideas to get bums on seats, and have the cheapest ticket prices on the SPL.

Which is good for the fan, but maybe doesn't make business sense for the club? Many season ticket holders could look at that as a way of saving a few quid, meaning less season tickets sold...

The only one I can see being on the table in the future is 14 with a 6-8 split. Whether we like it or not, the SPL will always be set up to have 4 old firm games. Any post split fixtures will be worked round when they play each other (not that I'm complaining, but when were 1st place ever sent away to 2nd place for a 3rd time post split!!!)
